Jane and her team did a wonderful job updating my 1950s kitchen. We did the demo ourselves, but the cabinets, countertops, floors & back splash were all delivered & installed to perfection. Thank you Jane for your help and guidance. Best wishes.

Ive been involved with Jane on several joint projects where they put in the countertops / back splash and I refinished the cabinets. Theyre great people and have quality and customer satisfaction on the top of their list. You cant go wrong with Lakeside.

I recently remodeled my bathroom. Jane Dyson the owner of Lakeside Cabinets drew up the plans and provided the cabinetry. She did a wonderful job on the design and the cabinets were delivered and are beautiful.Unfortunately my experience went downhill. The delivery included a large linen closet that was 8 ft tall and very heavy. She did not bring people capable of moving it and asked my husband to help. He is 62 years old and was already injured from the bathroom work. He re-injured himself helping with her “delivery.”Ms. Dyson sent me to Branson Granite and tile for my tile work. She also scheduled the date to set the cabinets. This company completely dropped the ball on both install and materials. As of the day before the cabinets were to be set the tile company still did not have all the materials, and not even the floor was finished. When I called to reschedule the cabinet install and told her that the delay was not my fault, Ms. Dyson became quite irate, blamed me for all of it, and defended her bad contractor over her client. She expected me to allow them to set the cabinets then tile around them. The entire bathroom was measured and built to have the tile done then the cabinets installed. She refused to do it the way the customer was paying for. This did make me angry. I told her to stop blaming the customer and acting as if I worked for her. She quoted her contract and implied that I would have to wait until when ever she got to it to install the cabinets and stated that “thats just the economy were in”. I told her that I could easily have someone else install the cabinets and she could refund any installation costs I had already paid if any. This was a sarcastic comment since she was being so adamant on it being her way or no way. She told me that she would send me a final bill, we were done and hung up on me.That night she sent me a final invoice demanding immediate payment. It also stated that she would not tolerate my drama and told me to contact her if and when I regained my sanity. I wrote back stating that I would not tolerate a contractor I hired treating me like I worked for them. I pointed out that according to her contract she owed me hardware and trim to install the cabinets. At this point I received an email the following morning stating that she was turning my file over to her attorney for collection and prosecution and informed me that I was no longer welcome in her showroom. I then contacted her attorney and pointed out a multitude of ways that she was in breach of her contract, her estimate and her written satisfaction guarantee. According to the contract all hardware was included in the price of the cabinets and final payment was due upon completion. I told the attorney that when she fulfilled her end and provided these items I would consider the job complete and pay the final bill.Within a few hours I received 3 emails from her attorney apologizing to me and assuring me that there was no problem and he would have my hardware delivered.About 2-3 days later I received a long email from Ms. Dysons “attorney” . It said that the contract bound us to arbitration and implied that a moderator would side with Ms. Dyson. However, he said he would arrange a 3rd party to deliver the hardware and pick up the check. He also said that Ms. Dyson was very familiar with his mediations. I tried to find the attorney on the Missouri Bar Association and did several searches to attempt to find the man and who he was. The only thing I found for him or the company his email was from was for tax preparation. I also discovered that the grooming drawer insert was not delivered with the cabinets. I had to spend an additional $200 to buy it again myself. When I pointed this out and asked him who exactly he was I have heard nothing else so far. If I do I will post an update. My husband did have to install the cabinets and we found a much more reliable tile company and installer to complete the job.Based on my experience I would never recommend this company to anyone.
