This is the place to go for anything Volvo-related in town. Pat has been doing this for decades and knows Volvos inside and out. He and his team are outstanding and Ive come to completely trust them to fix anything and everything on my wagon. They know their stuff and will tell you what needs to be done, what should be done preventatively while were at it, and what can wait. Ive been coming here for a few years now and it feels like visiting family. I wont take my Volvo anywhere else. Thank you all!

The crew at Alpine Import Service (AIS) are the best full service Volvo repair and maintenance shop on the west cost. I can’t say enough good things about team at (AIS) Rest assured if they can’t fix it right the first time know buddy can. I have used this shop for my last four Volvo’s over 28 years. The work and attention to detail are second to none. You won’t be disappointed. Fast, Friendly, Courteous, Professionals.

I have been going to Alpine for about 10 years now and I have to say I am very happy with the service I have gotten over the years at Alpine. A few years ago I had a problem nobody could figure out with my car and the mechanic knew what it was in a matter of just a couple of hours and saved me a lot of money too. The owner Pat is a is very honest and straight with me about everything that my car needed. They even have a shuttle service that took me to work and ever picked me up when my car was ready, and it was so nice not to worry about how I was going to get to work. When Pat called me and gave me the estimate about everything he was honest and told me that we can it all in stages, he told me what I needed to do ASAP and what can wait till my next oil change. I just way say a big thank you to Pat and the crew

Pat and the crew at Alpine have serviced my Volvo for the past 15 years and kept it in top running condition. They are thorough, courteous, and accommodate my busy schedule. I especially like the way they make their recommendations, flagging items that need immediate attention and separating them from those that can wait until the next routine service. Alpines convenient location and shuttle service are added benefits. They are also good about explaining any problems they find in language I can understand. I really appreciate their help with both routine maintenance and the occasional (very occasional) repair.

Turns out Eugene isnt a bad place to break down for a Volvo driver! Excellent service and work. I had my. 87 240 worked on. Not only did Alpine discover something the last shop failed to do after I paid for a full inspection (air filter was black), but also fast service. The driver was available to drop me off and pick me up. I also appreciated being shown the broken parts (in my case, a mass air flow sensor).Alpine seems like the place to go for a Volvo. The local tow company also pointed me there.. great for the Volvo loving town of Eugene!

Hi,I have owned a couple different Volvos a 740 and a 850 and have been coming to Alpine since with i bought them 6 years ago. They have always performed good work and stood by there service. They back there work and parts and use genuine oem parts or better and have been working with Volvo for years, you might find a place that is cheaper but they do not know Volvos like these guys, so do yourself a favor and forget about going to some sketchy place. I recommend them to anybody who has a Volvo. Support Local Business!

I will definitely not go back.I recently went to Alpine for an oil change. When I arrived, I asked how much it would cost to have the air conditioner recharged, and the very polite woman I was speaking to at the counter said she would ask Pat, the mechanic (owner?) to call me after he looked at the car. Another very nice employee drove me to work promptly. When Pat called some hours later, he told me that there was a leak or a hole in the AC, there was no freon left, and he gave me an estimate for recharging and finding the leak. I thanked him but said that I could do without the AC because I wasnt prepared to spend that much that day. Then he told me I needed a new water pump, all the coolant had leaked out. So I thanked him again and said that I would take it to my regular mechanic for that service.Thats when he started becoming impolite and ended the call in what I can only describe as a huff. When I called back a couple hours later, since he hadnt told me that the car was done, the very nice employee who drove me to work drove again to pick me up and bring me back.At the counter, Pat rang me up. He was visibly irritated and unresponsive, bordering on rude. My bill had a $22.50 charge to diagnose the AC leak. I had not asked for him to do any work on the AC, simply to tell me how much it would cost to recharge.I knew that the charge was unwarranted but felt extremely intimidated by his manner and body language, so I didnt challenge it. The other people at Alpine were great; very polite and very helpful, but I will absolutely not be returning to Alpine.

I wanted to check out a Volvo for sale in the area and I contacted mechanics in the area. I contacted Pat via the website. He got back to me that very day, and even offered to see if he had worked on the vehicle before by running the plate. I was very impressed with his service and set up a time where I could have it inspected. Turns out the car was lousy, and he ended up saving me from a lousy deal.I would highly recommend this company, as the owner goes out of his way to ensure an extraordinary level of service.

They stand by their work and do quality repairs with the right parts. I just spent $3200 on a car that isnt worth $2500.. if you are dumb like me and buy a volvo this is the best place to have one of these pieces of junk fixed.Lesson learned: stick with Toyota.

My family has owned Volvos and only Volvos since 1976. Both my wife and I drive a car that we love and feel safe in. When we moved to Eugene in 1986 a good friend told us about Alpine Import Services (exclusively Volvo) located in Springfield,OR. Thirty years later we still go to Alpine and we wont take our Volvos anywhere else. Why? Because Pat, the owner is personable, funny and tells it like it is. He is always looking out for our safety and tell us what we can wait on to get fixed and what need to get done ASAP. The Mechanics Pat hires are the best Volvo mechanics in the state. I highly recommend taking your Volvo to Alpine Import Services!Curt/Eugene

I own a late 1960s volvo 122 that the previous owner had swapped the engine, transmission and rear end out of a mix of various newer early 1970s Volvo models. I had a weak running engine that I couldnt figure out after weeks of different troubleshooting. On top of that it had original wiring that was spliced and just plain tired with visible wires in a few locations. I took it to Alpine as they are one of the few mechanics that know how to efficiently work on these older Volvos. They called me an a couple of hours and found it was a fuel injector that was malfunctioning. These injectors are hard to find, but they located one and had it installed the next day. To this day, I dont know how Pat and his crew figured out the fuel injector was it, but its ran great everysince. To top this off the wiring was causing issues and after i re-wired it has ran like a top.He knew more in 5 minutes of looking at the car about what parts came from which year/model of different Volvos. This was critical to order the right parts which he did the first time for the injector and rear disc brake rebuild with new e-brake pads too.Did i mention that Pat can find new parts for these classic cars that cannot be found online? He really cares about Volvo and getting all generations of them safely on the road.Overall, Im very impressed with Alpine Volvos crew and how honest they were. We own 3 Volvos right now and although I typically work on my own vehicles...will bring them into Alpine when i need major work done.

Im happy with my experience with these guys. They saved me a bunch of money after another shop, Swedishwest, failed to fix the problem.Swedishwest had charged me $1200 to fix my steering problem but didnt actually fix anything. After that Swedishwest wanted another $1500 to replace the rack and pinion. I took my car to Alpine for a second opinion and they found and fixed the problem for a lot less. Turns out it was the shock tower mounts, and the rack and pinion didnt need replaced.
