I purchased a built-in microwave back in July and it was just delivered and installed last week after numerous calls trying to get an appointment schedules. It was in stock when I purchased it and paid $100.00 for delivery and installation. I would probably never buy from them and pay for installation again.After my review Christy did call and refund me the installation fee and apologize. I do appreciate that and may give them another try if the need arises.
OMG the BEST service. I ordered a washer/dryer set from Lowes and they damaged it then refused to honor the sale price for the replacement. WORSE they continued to charge my credit card for 9 additional sets. I called Morgan at Metro and she got me the same exact set. It cost a little more, and by this time GE had them on back order but Morgan called me regularly and updated me. When the set arrived they worked with me for a specific date since I work over the road as a truck driver. The day before I got stuck in Houston and was delayed and Morgan said no problem... I could be their last stop of the day. Brian and John delivered and were awesome! They were careful with my set and extremely polite. Never going anywhere else!
I helped my Mom purchase a dishwasher here. They were very nice and helpful. My husband picked it up. Everything went smoothly.Edited because some way my Pennys statement wound up here at Metro. So sorry for that. We were very pleased with Metro!

I just had the BEST experience with Metro Appliances. There was a specific gas range that I was looking for so I called to see if they had it in stock. The lady I spoke to was so kind. She personally went to check and confirm that they had one left in stock for me and arranged to have it delivered and installed for me as well. (The price of the range and installation was significantly cheaper than the other stores here in town.) Thank you, Metro! That was so easy!
The sales associate was very friendly and attempted to assist us. I had visited the website while searching for a Bosch dishwasher. We went to the store because the website indicated they handled Bosch. When we arrived at the store we were informed they had none in stock. The sales associate went to speak with her supervisor to see if they could locate one for us. She returned and said it would take 16-20 weeks to get one. I bought one the next day online at Lowes and picked it up 6 days later.
The customer service here is really mixed. I’ve gone into the showroom and haven’t been greeted or asked if I need help by one person. I’ve emailed with an associate who was very helpful but then actually placing an order has proven difficult because they won’t call or email me back.
Disappointed at best. We bought a $500 light fixture from them about two years ago. Because of a defect we have had to replace one of the globes a couple times.One broke (again) last weekend and I called to order yet another replacement.I was told they no longer sell light fixtures and I would have to order one from the manufacturer.They have no records of what I bought, the manufacturer or the information on the previous replacements that were ordered for me.

I was at the Orange, Blue and Green big home improvement stores, but came back to Metro! Honest, knowledgeable sales people. The big home improvement stores are not always cheaper than Metro. Got a better dishwasher for the same price as a cheaper, low end one at one at on one of the other national stores. Metro you will always get my business!
Saddle up for a long review! Our experience with Metro was a complete disappointment, to say the very least. We ordered a refrigerator on June 4th. It said it wouldn’t arrive until August 4th, which was fine because we aren’t moving in until August 20th. After ordering, I didn’t hear anything when the expected arrival date was coming up, so I called for an update. I was told it would be arriving the following week (a week late - still no big deal) and that she’d call me. The following week, I didn’t hear anything again, so I called and was told it was delayed another week, and that she’d call me on Wednesday (8/18) to set up deliver for the following day. This morning, on 8/18 I got a call that they were 10 minutes away from my house with our refrigerator, even though no one called me to set up delivery. We don’t live at the house yet, so I had to leave work unexpectedly to go meet them. Annoying, but not the end of the world.The delivery was the real kicker. And man, what a doozy! We bought a small house in our favorite Springfield neighborhood and have been remodeling for three months. (And it’s lookin’ so cute!) The delivery man walked in and said, “Wow, this is so small. This house would fit in the living room of the last house we were in. If you saw the usual houses we deliver to, you’d understand.” After asking how big it was, he said, “Oh, three bedrooms? That’s alright I guess.” Weird, considering I didn’t ask you to approve or disapprove of the size of our house, my dude. I told him it was a good thing we weren’t asking him to live there, since he had so many opinions about it. Then, after realizing that we weren’t flipping the house, and we were remodeling it to live there, he said, “Oh I thought it was a Flip or Flop situation. I apologize. I wasn’t saying anything bad.” If you weren’t saying anything bad, why apologize? He said a number of other rude things, but I’m spicy so I let him know I was annoyed and moved on. I was sure to remind him not to disparage the next house he delivered to. He’s in his mid-50s, so you’d think he’d already know, but I digress. We’re pretty stoked on our little Brentwood house, sir!As a side note, we visited the store about a month ago to order an oven, washer, and dryer. We tried for 45 minutes to get someone to help us place our order, and after that long, we left and went to Lowe’s. It was an awesome experience, the salesperson (at Lowe’s) was knowledgeable, so helpful, and we were in & out within 20 minutes. Our appliances were delivered a week later and we’ll be ordering anything else we need from them. I prefer to stay local, but bad service can only be excused for so long.
Wonderful customer service! I have been having a bad time trying to buy a new fridge in these weird times of chip shortages. Metro, specifically Nick and Sydney were so helpful and caring, in one phone call and visit to the showroom, we were able to find one that works for our space and we’ll have it delivered in a week.

Good selection and great prices.However the following has happened since I paid for a refrigerator and gas oven: well into my 3rd lunar cycle. Spring has started and almost over. The average daily temp has went up 56 degrees. The model I ordered has been discontinued. Ive gained 17 lbs due to eating out because I dont have applinaces. Ive had to get 3 hair cuts. The entirety of Lent has come and gone. 3-4 weeks has happened 3- 4 times. Oh...and my brother has received his appliances (same models) that he ordered AFTER me from Lowes.
Bought a back order stove March 20th. Was told to expect 2-3 mos. Ok, fine. Its now 5mos. and everytime i call they say, oh yeah itll be here in 2 days. They are rude when i call(granted never called until 4 mos. out) and i now have no stove because my old one officially died today. Next time Ill go somewhere else FOR SURE.
Today was my first visit. I called beforehand to ask a few questions and talked to Dalton. He was full of information on the phone and was willing to save me a trip in and offered to help me order over the phone. I prefer to be in-store. When I arrived at the store, no salesperson breathed down my neck, I strolled around the store and then asked for Dalton. He was just as great in person! Very personable, helpful, and knowledgeable. We got my items ordered and I was on my way, easy as pie! Ill update once my items are in and the transactions complete. I am very happy with this experience so far. ETA: I forgot to mention that they also BEAT Lowes prices on item and delivery/install! ETA2: Both deliveries went very well. Install was efficient and perfect. All the people Ive dealt with from the store were very friendlyand helpful! We will 100% be checking with Metro first for future purchases.
The prices are tough to beat. The selection is as good as you would find anywhere. Delivery drivers were prompt, professional, and courteous. To cap it off, our sales associate, Sydney, was amazing! She kept us updated on our appliance order during the major disruptions due to COVID, welcomed our calls/questions, and maintained the highest levels of professionalism in a very stressful time for the building industry. Sydney is the main reason we will be lifetime customers of Metro.
The Sprinfgfield office has really gone down hill. Bought from them for many yrs and now Amber will not follow up or return phone calls. Have an awesome day everyone.
Visited store & spoke with Jay about a speed Queen top load washer on Tuesday April 13th. He told me none were available etc and said hed call me back with more info. Never heard back on Tuesday. I left a voicemail on his mailbox via phone with my name & number and what it was in reference to. No call still. So I went to Cooks Appliances and they put me on their order list. The worst experience at Metro. Ill never do business.there.
Got a fairly good deal on an oven and a microwave and dishwasher. Due to Covid I could not have it right away the oven and dishwasher were installed on April 1 the microwave is still on the floor of my garage waiting to be installed due to having an electrical outlet put in my cabinet which I’m still waiting on the electrician to call me back. Not real impressed with the service I got outside of the show room .

Bought a W/D 2 months ago. Washer was in stock but dryer had to be ordered. They tagged the washer so the could be delivered once the dryer came in. When the dryer came in, the washer was not there They sold my washer and made up stories blaming Speed Queen. I received a refund. Liars

We have purchased a washer and dryer about 1.5 years apart. The washer sale went fine, with dryer there was a drop off in communication that left us frustrated and without a dryer for 3 weeks. They did a great job communicating once I was in touch with Kristie (management) Delivery and installation went smooth. I would recommend Metro and the Speed Queen products.

Avoid at all costs Ive be lied to so many times about repairs I lost count. End of October and two broken appliances delivered mid August. Joplin location is worst with springfield a close second. I bet they dont even respond to this review. Really disgusted with them.UpdateOne fixed one to go . So. I thought customer service was making the customer satisfied with a purchase instead of counseling employees about poor performance. You have still offered nothing to make it right. I do understand parts availability is an issue but that makes communication that much more important. I am asking you to prove my current opinion wrong.

I want to previce this that I am in the service industry and I totally understand this time of COVID and how busy everyone is. However, I called during Aprils quarantine as our ice maker quit consistently making ice and would not dispense the ice. I was told that this was considered non-essential (sorry, ice is essential for us) and that someone from the company they outsource the services to would contact me after the city opened back up.Fast forward to the end of May. I have not heard from anyone and have to call again (I can understand they were busy so I remained positive). Finally in mid to late June we got someone out to the house. Not sure what they did but the ice will not dispense. So I called back at the end of June. Did not get a call back. So I called about a week ago. Explained what is going on to a man there, he promised to follow-up.So...if my company were to respond this way, I guarantee there would be negative posts and such.I do not want to be that person but I am beyond frustrated that this $4000 refrigerator purchase wont let me get ice.I will try to call them again but am beyond frustrated.

We went in on Tuesday July 28 and purchased a new washer and dryer and refrigerator for our new home. We were closing on Friday July 31 and paid for delivery on that day. We made it very clear that it needed to be that day and why. It is Friday afternoon at 4. They called to tell us they were running behind and could we wait until Monday. We explained that we could not go all weekend without a refrigerator. The floor manager got very defensive on the phone and said that because of the light rain today they couldn’t. When we argued that we could not wait until Monday and explained why again he simply said “ it will be there” and hung up on us. I would never buy anything again from a company that treats people that why when it is their mistake for committing to something and not following through. Especially a service they charge extra for.
We bought several appliances from them in the last few months. 2 weeks ago when they delivered a washer and dryer and we had them put upstairs. We did change our mind 2 weeks later and want them moved downstairs to that laundry room. When I called and asked them to move them since we just purchased them and offered to pay they told me they could not do that. I was very disappointed and would not shop there again. I did not complain when everything we ordered came in late.
This business is very unorganized. We needed a product and none were in stock. They found a returned one in back and it took days and days to get it delivered. Through their mix-up they couldnt install it and they got a third party to install it. Parts were missing in the delivery and we had to run to Lowes. Just poor service overall. I will not go back.Meanwhile, Metro App fixed the problem and gave a refund for the missing parts. I appreciate the follow-through.
Purchasing my dishwasher was the easy part. However, I was NOT INFORMED that it could not be installed here in Ash Grove! If I wouldve know that in the beginning I would have spent my money elsewhere! Thats just bad business!
Purchased a freezer from Metro Appliances & More. Was told I needed to wait one week for delivery. The day before delivery, I saw a refrigerator on their website showing in-stock. Went in to purchase the refrigerator. Salesperson said she would check the warehouse. Came back, said it wasnt in stock. Salesperson then tried to upsell me on a more expensive unit I had not yet researched. I said I would need to do the research. Salesperson called later to say my freezer order was over-ridden and that it was sold to another customer. Salesperson didnt want to refund the credit card.

I have had two bad experiences with Metro, first was when I purchased my washing machine and dryer. I was foolish enough to give them a second chance when needing to purchase a range and refrigerator. The fridge was delivered along with range, the range they sold me was ‘discontinued’ and wanted me to downgrade a model, WITHOUT notifying me before delivery and wanted charge me the upgraded price. They refunded my money for the range, and I kept the fridge. Wish I had returned the whole lot. I would have liked giving my money to a regional/local business but went to a big box store instead.I emailed the sales manager my concerns, with no reply.
Have gotten appliances from them twice now. Great staff and salespeople. Very knowledgeable and they delivered to use an hour away for $20. And took away old stove. You cant beat that delivery charge! You get great deals too.
My husband and I needed an entire house, inside and out, of lighting fixtures. Jean and Jay were amazing to work with!! Jean is absolutely the most knowledgeable lighting person we have ever dealt with! She knew exactly what we needed and was a whiz with her stock knowledge. And fast!!! We live in an apartment complex with refrigerators supplied by metro appliance. Ours has made an awful noise since the day we moved in 5 months ago and we cant get them to do anything. This refrigerator was brand new and under warranty. There is obviously something wrong with it but they refuse to do anything about it. We are in the process of buying our own because we cant sleep with the noise this one makes...... It is under warranty and we have contacted the manager multiple times.We even sent a video of the noise. They told us that you said there was nothing could be done about it.
I wanted to share why it is good to buy local or use a local company for buying appliances. Metro Appliances & More in Springfield is my wife and Is hero this week!! This is exactly why we always buy all of our appliances from Metro. They go above and beyond.Last week, our washing machine started making a horrible noise. It sounded like a rocket was about to take off when it got to the spin cycle. It was so scary that we stopped using it and we called the warranty company. They sent someone out to look at it and found a service note about a part on our particular make/model of GE washing machine that was starting to see reports of breaking. We were told not to use the washer and they would have the replacement part in 4-5 days.Yesterday, when we hadn’t heard anything from the warranty company and it had been over 4-5 days, we called the warranty company. At first they told us the part we needed was backordered until the end of March. My wife started to freak out a little knowing how much dirty laundry we already had and also knowing we really didn’t want to have to spend all our free time at a laundromat.Since we had bought the washing machine from Metro Appliances & More in Springfield (it’s where we have always bought all of our appliances), we talked to Judy with Metro and she put us in contact with the sales team. From there, we had a number to call with GE to find out if there was a way to get the part or what we could do. GE told us that the part was actually backordered until June 12, 2020! My wife freaked out a little more. Then they said if we wanted to replace the washer, GE could make a deal with us. Basically, they would sell us a new machine for a little over $750! To replace a machine that is about 3 years old and is under warranty. GE said since it was a fixable solution, they couldn’t do anything else…even if it was June or later before the part came in.I called Dustin with Metro back and told them what we found out. It was close to 5 p.m. at that point. He said they were going to see if there was anything else that could be done.Do you want to know what that anything else was??? Dustin called this morning and said they had a machine for us to use and would have it out within an hour or so from the call. They delivered us a washing machine as a loaner until our washing machine can be fixed. They took our machine back and will store it for us in the mean time.I don’t think we would have received this same wonderful customer service if we had bought from a big box store. This is just another reason to shop local and I will always highly recommend Metro to anyone who needs appliances.Thank you to the entire Metro Appliance & More team!

We live at the Lake of the Ozarks and I have purchased from the local Sears Home Store in the past. I am an educated buyer and know what I want when I walk in the door. Yesterday, I went back into the Sears store with my laptop and all of the manufacturers model numbers, so ordering the appliances should have been easy. Nope. We walked out because the sales person was either clueless or didnt care.Did some online research and saw all the great reviews for Metro, so I decided to call to see if we could make the purchases over the phone. Our sales person, Seth, was great and he QUICKLY found all of the appliances in their system. Gave him our credit card information and finished the transaction in about 30 minutes. (It would have been less than that, but we found out our Discover card had a daily limit on it that we apparently exceeded.)Appliances are scheduled for delivery and I will update this review after the delivery, but so far Metro and their staff deserves FIVE STARS.
Bought a new stove. The stove was eventually replaced because of a defective mother board (not Metros fault). A new stove was delivered, but they did not install the propane kit and reconnect the propane (which needs to be done by a pro). We will be without a stove for nearly two weeks before someone will be here to install. I can only eat so much cereal, Metro.....Other than that, they have been a pleasure to work with!UPDATE : They installed and it work great!

I hope your appliances work properly because if they don’t, this company is no help. My dishwasher purchased for my new house has been serviced twice now. When looking into swapping out my “lemon”, this company could not or would not help me. I have a brand new house and am sitting on my second week of no dishwasher because this company and the company that does their service contracts are dragging their feet to fix it and they won’t swap me out a new one. I will not use this company in the future and I advise you to do the same.**Update after response to my review.The service contract company told me the part came in today (day after my review and Metro response) and they won’t be out until tomorrow. I never received a call yesterday from Mid America and Mid America said no service was EVER scheduled for today as you have “claimed” in your reply. I have to make arrangements to be home again tomorrow after already making arrangements to be home today based off you telling me service was scheduled today! This is not acceptable!

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased all new appliances from Metro. The appliances are great.We thought we were purchasing a decorative stainless steele hood for the exhaust fan but what was ordered was a trim piece that wasn’t even stainless steele. We took it back and could not get our money back even though it wasn’t what we wanted. We should not have to pay for their mistake.As a follow up on our experience yesterday with Metro: we were contacted by the manager of Metro Appliance Springfield and our issue was quickly and graciously resolved by allowing to make the return of the merchandise. I will gladly update my review to a five star rating. Customer service is appreciated😊
A few months ago I purchased my appliances through Metro for the first time. Everything was price matched and I feel I got a good deal. The most impressive thing happened after all my appliances were dropped off at my home. I ordered all stainless steel and was immediately disappointed with all the smudges. After talking to my salesman (Matthew) new appliances were ordered in a different finish. In my opinion that is great customer service. Will go back when its time to purchase new appliances.
