I visited the warehouse to pick up a new glass plate that had been ordered for my microwave. I had gotten instructions from the staff on how to find their place. Everyone there was extremely helpful, and I was able to easily pick up my item.

Repairman came out July 2nd for my upright freezer, I was given estimate and a timeline of a week fir the part to come in . I called the first part of this week to check status since I received no call from them . The first woman I talked to told me the technician never dropped the ticket for the part to be ordered, She would get a hold of him . I asked for a call back . Once again no call so I decided to check again today 07/23 . This call went the same ticket not dropped no part ordered yet, no record of my call earlier this week . This woman told me the technician had been gone on vacation and she would get the ticket from the technician so part can be ordered. Where is the fast repair service they advertise?? If I had not paid for the service call my business would be going some where else . Very bad customer service definitely not fast .

Ordered a new washer and dryer from them. Waited 2 months for it to arrive. When they installed it the dryer did not work. The guy installing found out the cord had been cut. He did not have a way to fix it. He then cut the cord and taped it back togther to work. He told us of they ask to tell them we did it. He also said they would call us on Monday to schedule getting the cord repaired. That never happened. We left after the install and came back the following day to a flooded laundry room and the cord that had been cut and taped lauing in the water. I fixed the water leak myself as they had not tightened the connection tight enough. I later contacted the company and was told since there were no pictures it didnt happen. Nothing they could do. My children were the first in the house that day. They could have been electrocuted.

Service used to be great, but our washer broke on 3/12/21. DVD ordered the part and it is still on back order. After multiple calls and promises of callbacks with status that we never received we are still waiting for DVD to receive the replacement part. It has been a month now and they are still telling us that they are “calling” Maytag to see what the status of the replacement part is. They continue to tell us that they can’t do anything and that they have to “open a file” (which apparently does nothing). The service department and parts department are separate and don’t communicate very well. They both insisted that they had to “open a file”. It has been over a month now and we’ve spent almost $200 at the laundromat. DVD has gone from a great company to a pile of excuses and mismanagement with no concern for the customer.

Absolutely atrocious! Bought a brand new washer, never worked. Had to endure 3 visits from service department and two weeks time to end up with a machine that never worked. Finally got my money back minus the 60$ for delivery, cause they “DELIVERED” a machine that never worked. Took the machine back myself, cause it was going to take another week for them to come get the machine that never worked. What a deal! Suggest you go anywhere else. Know I will never shop there again.

The worst service I have ever dealt with. Very rood they have been to my mom 3 separate times trying to fix a brand new machine takes forever to get them there then never has the right parts still not fixed it should qualify as a lemon but they refuse to replace it delivered the dryer and the door was bent just plain horrible and they must bot read these cause there eating is 2.6 which is very poor for says there service is great they just don’t care

Horrible business ethics had an appointment date set that they said they would be available which was over a week long wait (I get it) but the day of the appointment I got a text saying the tech had an emergency (not my problem) I set the date that best suited there availability now instead of getting me asap beings the cancellation was on them they told me I have to wait until july instead of pushing some one on the list back beings I had my date set first the lady then proceeded to tell me to call some one else cause thats just not how they do business so thats what I did and there on there way now after I told them how this placed said its not how they do business lmao imagine that

Oh my god!!! Run really fast!!! My dad had serious problems with them and I have too. I bought a fridge and it came after 4 months!! Then it was even screwed up and leaking. Ive called numerous times and after months NOBODY HAS DONE NOTHING!!! NOW my hardwood floor is damaged and ice maker still doesnt work after almost 4 months!!! Now when I call i go straight to voice mail!!

Had a very bad experience with DVD in Springfield after purchasing many appliances for our home and for our rentals. Was sorely disappointed in their response to my situation. They delivered me an inoperative microwave and due to finishing the house rehab and the Covid pandemic it was many months before we realized the microwave did not work. We called for service as it has the guarantee and the repairman said not fixable. So we thought we would be covered and after multitude of calls and in person visits to the service department and to the sales floor we are accused of dropping the microwave which we did not. Owner installed it who is a contractor along with another helper. No dropping and no abuse on our part. We received no compensation and pretty much they just shrugged their shoulders there is nothing they can do since the manufacturer said looked like it had been dropped. I ask you since it was transported to DVD and used as a floor model at DVD and put into storage for us at DVD then transported to us I wonder where it was knocked around or dropped???? We are disgusted at their lack of caring, their lack of response to us except saying we dropped it and manufacturer wont cover it. So they do nothing. Too bad as we need more appliances but will not be going to DVD now for them.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever had. I bought a new washer and the water level sensor did not work right. No shoe covers so dirt was tracked into my house. After a two week wait for the part and two weeks for service, I signed the papers but put them next to me on the dryer, I did not hand them to the service tech. I was trying to check to see if it had been fixed by throwing some cloths in the washer and letting it fill. The service person reached around me, took the paper work and separated the two parts and walked out the door as I was taking to him. His report from his truck said water level normal but he was not inside the house to see if the water even start to fill. How do you walk out on a service call and then lie about it? I called right away to stop him and try to get him back. 5 hours later and no word. I went to the champaign store to see if he went there to get parts and all they did was stick up for him. Any appliance has to have 4 problems in a year for them to replace it even though this was bad from the get go. The service comes from Springfield not champaign. Oh the good part is their papers say same day repair. What a joke.

Asked for repair because my ice from my ice maker tasted funny and thought it was the line. Charged me $60 to do absolutely nothing. Tested nothing, unhooked nothing. Said he doubted it was the line but he could replace the one I have with the exact same one but doubted it would fix it and didnt advise it. Said i could buy one at the hardware store cheap. Thats a BS answer and no solution at all. He didnt even attempt to find the problem. Saying he could take the line off and put the same one on with highly doubtful positive results is NOT looking at the unit or offering legitimate estimates. His estimate was for him to admittedly do something pointless. That is NOT what a service call is for. That was a complete and total abuse of the definition of a service call. It was pathetic and disgraceful and I will make sure MY experience is shared often.

Buyer Beware! We had good experiences until recently with service! They are not FAST by any means!!! A week to a week and a half before they come and usually have to come back twice to get things repaired because they dont carry many parts! Total false advertising so if you think you are saving money by not having to buy a service agreement, think again...

Our dishwasher we bought had water in it on it in the instruction bag so the warranty paperwork and the cardboard box was wet. The plastic wrap you pull off the Stainless had water behind it. Not horrible but wasnt expecting it to be covered with water.

My dryer stopped working in December 2019. I called and requested a service call the day after I noticed the problem. My dryer appeared to be overheating. It would run for anywhere from 5-18 minutes and then shut off. The dryer would, then, not allow me to restart it until a short period of time had passed and then...repeat. My husband and I determined that the overheating may be caused from the vent between the dryer and the outside. Before the service appointment, we pulled out the dryer, removed the vent and cleaned it out as best we could, using the pressure from an air compressor. The dryer was still shutting off after about 5 minutes, required a cool down period and…repeat…even after the vent was cleaned. It was also providing an error code that indicated the reason for the shutdown was because the door was open. 5 days later, a service tech by the name of Jim, who has 30 years of service with the company spent a whole 5 minutes in my home diagnosing the dryer problem. He stated that this issue was a vent problem. He never pulled out my dryer to examine the vent, he never stepped into my basement to assess the vent that coiled through my basement ceiling, he never stepped outside to check the air flow at the vent on the side of my house. After I told him that my husband and I cleaned out the vent and the pretty thorough job I felt like we did, he said “well you didn’t do it good enough”. Since this diagnosis was not related to my 5-year, full service warranty, I was required to pay a $60 service fee and purchase, at Jim’s suggestion, a $40 part from Amazon to appropriately clean the vent. A week later, $100 in service and parts and $150 at the laundry mat, we cleaned out the vent, again, according to Jim’s instructions and the instructions that came with the equipment we purchased from Amazon. I turned my dryer on to begin my laundry, at home, for the first time in 2 weeks and BAM…the dryer shut off after 5 minutes and the dryer flashed an open-door error code. I called DVD the next day, had to schedule another service call and wait another 5 days to see a service technician. Jim came back to my house. He was there less than 10 minutes this time. He did peer onto the back of my dryer. He said he was satisfied with the way the dryer was vented. He also stepped into my basement and viewed the vent coiled through the ceiling. And he also stepped outside to physically view the amount of air coming from the vent. He said that though he still felt it was vent issue, he would order a thermostat to “make me(you) happy”. Over the next 4 weeks I was provided with 4 potential delivery dates of my thermostat. During this time, DVD never contacted me to see if anything changed, they never reached out of attempt to rectify the situation in a different manner, they never called me with an update to the delivery delay with my part. The ONLY reason I knew the status of this part was due to my constant phone calls to them. Finally, the part was delivered, 6 weeks after my initial phone call, DVD had the part put on within 3 days. (SIDE NOTE: Also, during this waiting period, we moved, and the dryer went with us, to a new home and received A BRAND-NEW VENT. The problem was not resolved with the new vent however the dryer that was installed in our previous home is working just fine with no problems from the dryer or the vent) After the service tech installed the new thermostat, he ran the dryer for approximately 3 minutes. He stated he was satisfied with the part and the machine and left. As I returned home later that evening to do a load of laundry, after 5 minutes in the dryer…ERROR CODE DOOR OPEN! I contacted Deanna, the Service Manager. She apologized that I have been without my dryer for 6 weeks, have spent over $300 at the laundry mat, and that I spent $60 on a service call (which they have refused to refund) and $40 on an unnecessary vent cleaning tool from Amazon. The only option she could offer me was a service call…3 days later. So, 6 weeks without a dryer and over $400 in the hole, I continue to wait…

Sold my parents a faulty refrigerator then wanted to charge them for delivery and pick up of said faulty refrigerator. Impossible to get ahold of. Whenever you call, you get their voicemail. Would never let my dad talk to a supervisor, even though they constantly had to consult with the “supervisor”. After offering a replacement they could never give my dad a date for delivery of the replacement. Technician marred their hardwood floors, plus they won’t honor their “spoiled food” policy. Needless to say my dad went somewhere else, and he will never do business with them again. Buyer beware!!

Not impressed with Dick Van Dyke appliance world. Bought a $3100 refrigerator, ice make and water dispenser quit working. Call them and told them what was going on and wanted someone to come out and look at the fridge. Thats when they told us we didnt have the 5/10 year warranty. WOW!!!!! We were under the assumption since we bought this brand new that it came with the warranty, evidently not!!!! So we have a $3100 fridge with an ice maker and water dispenser that doesnt work. Maybe we should also discuss how badly they treat their blue collar employees. Delivery/installers work an average of 12-14 hour days. Newer employees get paid more than employees that have been there twice as long. They say the owner is a Christian, I think he needs to look in his own back yard (his business) and get things straightened up before the labor board and or OSHA get involved

We bought a refrigerator, range and dishwasher about 4 years ago. We called for a repair (the great warranty they brag about) and wastold $60 to come to the house and because we are out of town $40 and because we are nearing the end of warranty we would have to pay for some parts. It has not been any where near 10 years.If you live out of town. Buy local. Their 10 year warranty is a lie.

They misrepresented a $100 rebate and as I was signing the receipt they told me the washer dryer combo I chose was not eligible for the rebate even though it was a selling point when the salesman sold it to me. Then I told them to cancel the order and they said they would charge me a restock fee even though it hadn’t been shipped yet. When I said to go ahead and cancel anyway, they said they would go ahead and credit me the gift card after all. I never did receive the rebate credit, and there is nothing they will do about it now, go figure. They said what they needed to in order to keep the sale from falling though. 💯 do NOT recommend!

In August we purchased a brand new refrigerator and the guy came out today and said the compressor is bad. Although we are still under warranty he said it would be three to five days before the compressor comes in and then they will set an appointment to come out. So when I asked what we do with our food in the mean time, the guy said, I wish it was colder for you outside, and then he chuckled. I mean we spent over 1000.00 for this fridge and they seem to not really care. Im not sure I would ever purchase an item from them again I realize we are not a priority for them, but we should be.

We had a horrible experience last week. The delivery/installation guy didnt know what he was doing, couldnt shut off the water or electricity, left behind a mess, didnt turn the water back on, left packing material in the dishwasher, and proceeded to tear out half a 15 year old Bradford pear tree, destroying a light post in the process. Instead of admitting fault and moving forward, they denied it. I will never use them again, and dont recommend them to anyone.

Bought all new appliances for our new home. Long store short I have been dealing with their horrible service department for over 3 months trying to get resolved the scratched and defective refrigerator that they sent me. After sending them pictures and detailing what was scratched and needing repaired and the technician has now been here a few times I still dont have the right parts and still a defective refrigerator. I would never purchase from DVD again!

I would give 0 stars the service sucks I have been without a washer for three weeks they said they order the wrong parts, how does that happen if your in the service industry and sell appliances and Monday of this week I was promised to get a call from service to let me know if my parts has come in wow what a surprise no call, if I had to do it over I sure wouldnt buy anything from them, please people go somewhere else to buy your appliance.

Purchased GE washer and dryer. Husband had them try the dryer after installed. Made a horrific noise had Nic technician come out and fix it. Something from manufacturer. When I used the washer it rattled and vibrated so bad and very noisy. Vibrated against wall and then against dryer. This washer has an agitator. Called service technician came back the next week. He said sorry but thats what you get with this machine. I do not like it! Dont buy GE! Have 30 days to return it for refund but they charge 20% of purchase price to restock it. Called to talk to salesman who sold it to us. He said he sold a lot of these sets no complaints. I dont believe it. He told me to talk to service manager. When I was given the service dept I asked to speak to manager. Apparently she did not want to speak to me, not until I insisted that I speak to manager. Rude service department! No help. Too bad you cant try them out before purchase like a car. We have bought refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer they love it if everything is ok, but if things arent right for you they dont care, they got your money, tuff luck. Wont go back to DVD! Be sure to read anything they want you to sign. Dont just sign it so delivery man can leave. Sit down and read the whole thing!

We had a service call for our dishwasher. The technician allowed water to get under our laminate flooring and cause damage. Dick Van Dyke admits the technician left the 1st service call while there was water still leaking and by the time he came for the 2nd call with the replacement part the pan had overflowed thereby causing leakage and damaging our flooring. They told us to use our homeowners insurance. I would suggest not having them do a service call or if you call them you should video the entire experience.

Terrible customer service. Tech harassed us on the phone for more payment before even looking at the washing machine. Then he couldn’t drain water out of standing machine because he didn’t bring the correct equipment. Took four phone calls to find out “it could be the timer or the transmission”. Complete waste of money and time and unbelievably rude and unprofessional.
