Get your John Deere equitment here! Also a certified Stihl dealer. Knowledgeable staff that will offer advice and tips.
Great guys here. Rushed here to pick up our airplane tug and even though we arrived right at closing time they were very nice and even loaded into our vehicle for us. Thanks for your awesome service!
I’ve been going there for over 30 years. The staff is very friendly and professional. I really like Jeff in the parts department. Very knowledgeable like all the staff, and he goes out of his way to help explain and help me with any mechanical issues that arise with my equipment. Love the place!!
Very friendly people. Will definitely visit again on next trip. Dealership very clean and displays are very nice. Staff very knowledgeable on products. Stop by and visit them.
I would prefer not to get sexualized when I am trying to purchase lawn equipment. Someone should sue you guys 💯
Went there to look at lawn tractors. This business is geared to commercial customers but they do sell some residential equipment. The people there are very friendly and helpful. The salesman was very knowledgeable and informative. I bought a lawn tractor. They deliver and take away old one N/C. So much better than going to Home Depot or Lowes.
I am in my early 20s and I went in in my outside clothes. I was interested in purchasing a blower and and edger and possibly a pressure washer. When I walked in I didn’t get acknowledged at all. I asked the gentleman and a counter a question he didn’t even look at me in the eyes. He pointed me to the Products in the back and gave me a very brief explanation. I ask him something else and he didn’t come over and the tone of his voice sounded like he didn’t care too much. As I was looking at things Don helped me. In the beginning I don’t think he took me too seriously but towards the end of our interaction he started to treat me like a customer. He was great he oriented me to the product I purchased and was very helpful and took time to answer my questions. He also explain the product very well so I knew what I was buying. When I put my credit card on the table everyone looked at me. They based the service they gave me on the what i looked like. I purchased some fuel and it was not sealed all the way and got all over my car and on my clothes. I didn’t regret my purchase until then. I can go to Home Depot and get subpar service and I don’t mind but when I go into a local business I want them to appreciate my business and treat me like a customer. I probably wont go back and you should be wery as well. I dont leave negative reviews on places but this made me feel like i was invisible.
Keith, gave me great information on a good 0 turn scag 48, I bought it, great payment plan. Very good mower, very happy.
Fantastic business, Service was awesome employees are punctual smart and very helpful, my mower is going to need a tune up and thats the go to place in my book, its worth the 1 hour drive north.
Very professional large selection Ive been going there for years not really the friendliest bunch but probably like me rather be elsewhere purchased a new toro zero turn 7-31-21 for 3,513 you would think it would come with hour meter I wanted to talk alittle more about having one installed but the sales person seemed like he was in a rush only 3 people in the store so I didnt bother ill go on utube and figure it out i will say if your looking for yard equipment this is the place though huge selection
Large display of Stihl outdoor power equipment.
Super nice and helpful staff! Well stocked store. Clean, organized, large showroom. Parking lot is small though.
I recently purchased a John Deere Zero Turn mower and everything about the purchase was amazing! Their staff is great - helpful, knowledgeable, very nice, and more importantly they were patient with a newbie. Better still...The price was the same as it was at Lowes BUT if I had purchased at Lowes I would have had to figure out how to get it home, set it up, etc. These guys prepped it, put fuel in it, delivered it, and then made sure I knew exactly how to work it before they left - ALL AT NO ADDITIONAL COST!! :-D WAY BETTER DEAL THAN I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN FROM ANY BIG BOX STORE :D Thank you!
Just purchased a John Deere X350 and couldnt be happier with South Daytona Tractor and the machine. Randy Smith, my sales and finance specialist, did an excellent job, was knowledgable, courteous and on the ball. He delivered it personally to Orlando and gave A great overview of the tractor. The process itself was smooth and I hope to buy more grown up ‘toys’ in the future from them.
Theyre actually pretty cool and for a big name business are pretty down-to-earth. Ive gone in there to ask for parts for my older version of a riding lawn mower a brand that they dont even sell. The associate always goes on the computer looks it up helps me find the part and orders it whether its under $4 or over $50. Thanks guys. Maybe one day I can get enough greenbacks to buy one of your brand of lawn mowers
Great John Deere Lawn Care Equipment Dealership. Great inventory of Equipment and Attachments in the showroom. Prices are displayed on the equipment. Great parking and close to River.
Nice clean place plenty of employees helpful ordered some parts for my old mower but no body wears a mask disappointed if you are not worried about your safety you are not worried about your customer safety either
Got our Honda power washer repaired here. Great, quick, service at a fair price.
If I could give this company zero stars I would. Very rude and unprofessional. They DO NOT care about their customers and they will lie right through their teeth to gain a customer. They will also say that they are sorry and apologetic but its just not true. I had to call another John deere to fix my problem. Ocala John Deere was very friendly and knowledgeable, I would highly recommend them over this store. It definitely worth the few extra miles. Daytona tractor are scam artist. And as far as John Deere goes if you expect the company to stand up for you; youd be wrong because they wash their hands of the problem and tell you its the dealerships decision because they are individually owned. So you might as well throw your warranty out the window. Extremely disappointed with this business because they lie, lie, lie.
I brought in a chainsaw that wouldn’t start after the second use. It still had its 1 year warranty. So I dropped it off to the shop and when I went to pick it up they wanted to charge me 60 dollars because what was wrong with it wasn’t covered under warranty and they proceeded to do the work without my authorization (they stated I didn’t ask for them to call me) so how am I supposed to know if it’s covered under the warranty or not. Very unprofessional. Also beware if your machine is under warranty they still charge to look at it. So what’s the point of having the warranty when you still have to come out of your pocket. When I asked to speak to the manager of course he wasn’t there and said I will still be charged. They said they replaced the fuel filter so when I looked at it it still had debris all over it. I would not recommend this shop very upset and I will never buy from them again and I will be following up with the manager. It’s honestly bs what’s going on there. Beware if I could rate 0 stars I wouldAs you can see they replied they took man hours to remove what they installed and put the old stuff back on what a terrible company I paid 36 dollars for nothing. I got no confirmation about anything and I still get charged this is a very unprofessional company and I urge you to stay away just by there reply you can see how they treat their customersUpdate also when the chain saw was returned it is now leaking gas so not only did they do a dishonest to the community they also broke a product they sold stay away!!!
They always have what I need and Bill was very helpful save the the parts I need so they were ready for me to pickup
First class service at a fair price.. Helped me even though I didnt have all the numbers.. You know Ill be back when I buy a new deere...
DISHONEST CON ARTISTS! BEWARE! Do not support these crooks! If you need service on a machine save your time and money and go somewhere else. The mechanics will just pretend to fix your products and then try to sell you their stuff when you bring it back still broken 3 times after they claim to have fixed it. Shame on me for trusting people to do the right thing. Oh and they are rude. Cool. Thanks guys. Feeling ripped off...hard
If I could give them less than one star I would. I brought in my Honda mower (which they are a Honda dealer). A counter clerk started to argue with me on I can’t do rear discharge on my mower. I have the the Versamow so I know I can. I walked right out with the mower. I will never go back again. By the way, I was there to get my mower fixed.
This is the most full service carry everything yard tool shop in this area. As far as I know.
I just went to look but couldnt not buy they were so helpful.Lots of nice little touches when doing business here like them filling my new mower with gas and oil ready and then giving me a run down on how it all operates.I highly recommend them.
Horrible customer service. every single time i call for a part or go in for a part. they huff and puff as is im inconveniencing the . if i didnt need stuff same day sometimes trust me i will use Amazon. horrible staff
This is a very friendly atmosphere, just searching on the phone for parts and they went out of their way to help me find parts for an older tractor. Big thank you to Renae for all the help. I will shop here again in the future.
The best mower shop around by far. Staff is great. Selection of machines cant be beat anywhere. In 18 years I have been doing business with them I have never been disappointed, or received bad service in any way.
These guys always helpful and knowledgeable
Sorry that I ever went in the store the people who work there are not very helpful and have attitude issues. Just bought a used lawn tractor needed a few parts. But Ill find them OL and never go back to the store.
Im here for chainsaw parts and chainsaws all the time. They are always a great help and they get me in and out fast, just how I like it. Im very busy, so by them explaining everything to me clearly one time ... the first time ... and finding the parts I need in a nice timely matter helps me get out the door faster and on to my next job. TIME IS MONEY!!! All in all excellent store.
Rude as can be over the phone. Called in to see if they have a part in stock. They needed to know model and serial number. Told them its a 61 Cheetah, serial starts with an f. Person on the phone stated all models start with an f serial number. Not all models starts with an F. Basically she didnt want to spend anytime researching and helping out a customer. Guess thats why I never buy from there and the ratings are only so so.
They clearly dont understand the Stihl Dealer Days specials. Sales folks were not very eager to help. It took almost an hour to purchase a string trimmer/blower set. I traveled quite a distance expecting knowledgeable personnel. Greatly disappointed.
Had exactly what I needed to repair my John Deere mower.Everyone had a great attitude and smiles that made you feel welcome as soon as I walked inside.Lots of Green Machines for getting the job done.
My husband & I visited, wonderful service and we were given a great price for a part my husband needed for his Snapper riding mower. Thanks for your help!!
Randy sold me an $8,000 mower, then never said a word or looked at me again. some of the people at the desk are rude over the phone, and one of my employees even actually overheard them calling me an idiot ( coming out of the bathroom) because i was sitting on mowers getting a feel of the new products.. nice clean place, nice displays.. not too happy with the employees- not friendly at all
Great shop and awesome showroom, but the people that work here are ...well ya know, ... kind of jerks. As many years as Ive been coming here to buy equipment, trim line, parts, and etc., you would think that, by now, I would have developed some type of rapport with these people, but I guess not. Apparently they do not value their repeat customers. Now, I drive all the way over to DeLand to DDD where at least I get treated like a human being. Its out of the way and a much further drive, but sometimes its worth it just to get respect that customers deserve.
I think everything is too expensive so that goes without saying, but Ive bought a mower there, good price, good mower. Ive had stuff repaired there, they do a good job. If you want good help you have to pay them decently, so you have to charge what you have to charge to accomplish that. I try to repair what I can myself but when I cant I have no problem going to South Daytona Tractor.
Been driving by Home Depot, Lowes, and others to do business with these guys since about 2009. While I certainly am not the deepest pockets to walk through the door everything I purchased in the lawn equipment category came from this store. I hit a stump with my mower and could see the blade and the part that holds the blade were bent. I was alone and could not look at the shaft and rotate it to see if it was bent. I drove to My lawn mower shop (South Daytona Tractor and Mower) and ordered the parts I was sure were damaged, had a conversation with the guy that waited on me about how to tell if the shaft was bent (no caution about special orders) paid and left. My Son helped me a few days later confirming to my dismay that the shaft was indeed bent. At my nearest opportunity I returned to the shop, told them I had no need for the parts I had ordered and requested a refund. I was charged a 40% restocking fee. I am no stranger to retail and expected to pay perhaps 10% to 20% or get an offer from them in the way of a store credit towards a new mower. The receipt clearly states 40% is the rule but never hearing of such a thing I assumed (yes I know) this was to ward off habitual returns. I had never returned anything prior. We are not talking an obscure part for an off-brand mower; This is a blade kit for a Honda mower that was purchased from them. I informed them I would take my business elsewhere and was told,Sorry you feel that way sir (did they really think I would be back for more?). Bottom line...If you are not buying thousands of dollars worth of equipment they have no use for you after you walk out the door. Little store with a Big Box attitude!
Just picked up a chainsaw and brush cutters from them. Very helpful and fast. I had no problems with them at all. I would go back and shop there again.
Although theyre a bit out of the way for me I use then for all of my stihl parts and products. Wide selection of anything you need stihl related. Great customer service and ordered parts are usually only a day away.
I am a commercial Lawn and landscape company and I bought a 13k dollar mower from this store. Before I purchased the mower they told me they would have a loaner if it broke down(this was a major selling point for me because when a mower is down for a week it puts us so far behind) it’s been in the shop three times for over a week and every time no loaner they also told me they would pick it up if it broke down well it broke down and they said they couldn’t pick it up for a week and knowing how they work it would take another week for the repair and being out a mower that long puts us to far back. I would Highly recommend if you are looking to buy a mower to take your business down the road to a different shop you don’t want to have to be in the position I’m in stuck having to deal with the only John Deere Shop in the area after purchasing one. Not to mention they look at me and my guys as less than. Maybe because we’re not mower mechanics and don’t know as much as they do or something idk. Also it’s never exciting when We have to stop in this John Deere due to the way they treat us and the demeaning attitudes you get while in there. I am posting this in hopes of change I always am ready to forgive and give another chance but with them as of now they could care less about me my company and customer service.
Rude and unprofessional sales staff and worse parts staff that have no clue. Took my business elsewhere and you should too
They are very professional and every time I bring them something to repair it is perfect.
Sent tractor to have my new belt put on because we didnt want to damage the new one ....stopped when we saw YouTube video on how to....sent to service at South Daytona Tractor and they cut the belt and said I did it and then charged for another new belt. I will never ever use them or refer them to anyone STAY AWAY THEY ARE CHEATERS AND VERY DISHONEST.
Could not be any happier with the service we received from Keith and the rest of the staff at South Daytona Tractor and Mower. We purchased a John Deere D105 for our home, they offered same day delivery, showed my fiancee how to operate it and filled it full of gas! Absolute perfect service. I wasted too much time trying to purchase the same mower from Lowes and after they delivered me a broken used one, I was lucky to find this place. Thanks again, Keith.
This places is super friendly and the employees are good people they try to help you every way they can, my tractor stater damage and i dont have the money right at that minute to buy a new one and the employees went in the back to see if he can find a used one to fix my problem for now WOW, I buy a new one 3 days later, thank you so much for so wonderful detail, Edwin Lopez
He was very nice to do business with your company thank you
Really wanted a part only as big as a min..but they did have one..
Great service and large selection of mowers and yard care equipment
Ive been doing business with South Daytona Tractor for 17 years — until now. Other reviews are very correct, these people are all rude and arrogant and act like they dont give a damn about you unless youre buying one of their overpriced pieces of equipment. They obviously have poor leadership and work environment because none of the staff ever crack a smile, and they’ve obviously never heard of the concept of the lifetime value of a customer or reputation management, as you can see from these many terrible reviews. I suspect the few good reviews are mostly shills.I have had poor service on several occasions but kept coming back because they are the only Stihl dealer within 25 miles of me, but this last visit was the last time. After spending over $15K with them over the years, I brought a brand new Toro ZTR mower in for warranty repair since they are the only authorized Toro repair shop within many miles. My mower had an intermittent valve timing problem. These bozos couldnt fix the problem despite the obvious signs of black soot around the valve cover, etc. Bad enough, but when I came to pick it up, they told me they couldn’t find any problem with the mower and wanted to charge me $110. I told them it was under warranty and that Toro should pay them. They said Toro wouldn’t because they couldn’t find the problem. I told them I’ve been shopping there for 17 years and have spent over $15K there. The service manager acted like he couldn’t care less, and offered to knock $40 off the price. I tried to explain to him that even if he lost an hour of his mechanic’s time in his actual cost, my past and future business have it covered, but his simple mind couldn’t grasp the logic and insisted on charging me. The money is not an issue, it’s the principle. I’ll never darken the doorstep of this place again, and I’ll be sure to warn my local email list of 1,500 people to avoid these a-holes.These guys are living in the past in a backwards area, thinking they have no competition since they’re the only purveyor of proprietary Stihl and John Deere products (both of which are living on past reputations as well). You can see from the various bad Google reviews that South Daytona Tractor has never tried to respond to or address their many bad reviews. I’ll go out of my way from now on to avoid them and warn others of their sh*tty customer service.
Great inventory, thanks Keith for helping me purchase my new John Deere
Horrible customer service, went in twice on the same day to buy a generator and send it to Puerto Rico. Didnt even got acknowledged. Sat on a lawn mower for about 20 minutes and ordered one online. I can give them 5 stars on laziness and rudeness.
Buyer beware: their website states that they service all major brands of lawn and garden equipment however they would not service the trimmer that I brought in which is one of the major brands. No offer was made to point me in the right direction or help me find a local service shop. Disappointed as I drove 30 minutes to their location based on their website and was turned away.
Just talked themselves out of a blower sale. I was on the fence about whether to buy a $3200 tractor until I tried to turn my truck and trailer around at which point the guys in the back were kind a rude and so I decided to just take my business elsewhere.
Knowledgeable staff, prices in line with brick and mortar dealer. Much information available.
They have a lot of equipment but the people at the parts and service desk are very rude and arrogant. Go spend your money at a dealer that actually cares about more than just emptying your wallet.
Max, Keith,Jeff, and Randy are top in bus. Ive been a very happy customer for 20yrs
I have no clue what these other people are talking about but I couldnt be happier with the treatment I received when I had my mower repaired here. They were very courteous, explained everything to me, and helped me load it in the back of my pickup too.
Outstanding been dealing with him for several years
I always here people saying the people here are lazy and rude but I have never got nothing but awesome service and eveyone asks if I need anything always there to help with questions whether its the answer I wanna here or not awesome people awesome sales and great knowledge they have my business for as long as grass is growing!

Not the most overly friendly bunch.
Great service and sales
Kieth is awesome and john Deere is the best!!
Best products and service every visit
Great place. Great people.
Very unhappy with not only the unfriendly staff but the ability to take your money and not fix the problem.mower has been there twice for repairs and still does not work.and who closes for an entire week of Xmas.
Good people and good products
2-3 month return service. Also told me it was under warranty just to charge me at the end.
Great expert service and advice
A waste of my time. Employee said he had my parts in stock when I called. I drive down there only to find he only had 1 out of 4 of the parts I needed.
Typical salesman, no useful information
Knowledgeable service
Awesome place
Really expensive
A grate place
