Everything was fine till going to the self check out. At the register we had everything scanned and was about to pay, put a bill in and it automatically jams up. The girl that was watching over the self checkout had to contact the only associate that had the key to the registers and was already busy with someone. Instead of having given the key to another worker, we had to stand there for over 30 minutes while we had to hurry out to go home. We should have not had to stand there for over half an hour to fix a jammed bill! Absolutely never going to this location again.

Decided to try the order online and use a pickup where they bring it out to my vehicle. I specifically ordered a dog flea treatment and Air duster in a can. They marked the air duster as unavailable, and instead of giving me the dog flea treatment that I ordered and showed them that I ordered, they substituted the item for cat flea treatment. I have no cats. Told them to take it back, went into the store myself even though Ive been feeling sick, though I wore a mask, and bam. BOTH ITEMS STOCKED ON THE SHELVES. Pretty annoying. Will not order pickup again.

It was close to closing when I arrived at Walmart. The store had the usual stocking going on but the employees where very friendly with me., getting out of the way asking if they could help me find anything.,etc... then I prepared myself for the one registrar checkout that had become the norm. To my surprise ALL of the self check out lines were open.... made it quick and easy.

Above average Walmart. Has really nice staff that are always happy to help if you need it. Always clean and well organized. Staff has always been knowledgeable when looking for something. Definitely a better experience than normal.

I give this place no stars whatsoever. To start off I call the bakery and they tell me to call back in 5 minutes. Me being the generous person that I am, I wait for 25. Just wanted to give them some time to get situated and recollect thoughts. I call back and I get no answer. That is fine... I can just call back in 10 minutes. So I call back and let it ring for 2 minutes with no answer. I then call back 5 minutes later and still no answer. I just called back 2 minutes ago, let it ring, and still no answer..... I understand with covid, and people not wanting to work. You all could have answered that phone!

I cant even talk to anyone at Walmart they dont even pick up the phone .. so how do the get any business.. I was on hold for n hour no one helps.. or they just hang up on you what the heck is going on in Walmart.. they need to do their jobs or just quit. N go home .. period,,

On this visit I went to the pharmacy. Franklin is always amazing to help me out and today we shared a laugh. I get all my meds here, friendly and convenient.

Too much to choose from lol. Nice and clean store and everything was stocked.

What can you say about Walmart. So many items and the service is unbeatable. Isles and Isles of merchandise. A wonderland of utopia of happiness and fulfillment. Friendly staff, funny customers and spacious and well stocked departments.

Got a cake special ordered a month in advance, the icing was horrible, the writing was even worse. I only kept the cake because it had been paid for in advance. The box was moist as if it were wet so the box collapsed on the inside to the sides of the cake. It didnt matter after I tasted the icing because it was disgusting. Im sorry but whoever wrote the message on the cake also needs to pick another gig. If they couldnt write it neatly they should have either printed it off and laid it on or had someone else do it. Highly do NOT recommend the bakery for any special occasion cakes. We ended up swinging by baskin robins thankfully and getting a replacement they had on hand ready made for the same price and tasted great - wasnt a bite left.

I love love Walmart, but you better be careful this shelf fell and his the side of my sons knee. Just a few more inches it would have hit his head.

Only rating a 3 because of your hours. Wishing it would be open till like 2am. My work hours pretty much give me no time to shop here anymore.

Disappointed in the lack of halloween stuff this year due to shipment delays. Otherwise a clean store and nice people.

Once again went through the self checkout and was treated like a thief. Paid almost 100 dollars for a new cooler to be asked if they could look inside it. Really . I guess the cameras are for looks. Hell maybe next time they will ask to see whats in my pockets. Great customer service. Top notch

Did a pickup. There is a lot of spots to park as well as alot of time spots to pick from. The walmart employees were kind. Went inside for a sec as well and seemed like a lot of people were about however everything went smoothly and checkout was fast. Will shop/ use pickup again.

Love the size of this Walmart! It isn’t your normal massive size, but larger than a a neighborhood mart. Everyone was friendly. Some of the isles were a little messy but nothing crazy. Overall, a great experience.

Really like the wide selection but I feel like they are putting people out of work with self checkouts people need jobs they dont have many lanes open that has a cashier and you wait forever to be checked out kinda sad

Walmart has good prices but lacking stock. Issue with app to store. App show items in stock at store. Then when arrive not in stock. This particular visit I purchase a roll of fabric. Molasses moves faster than the associate working the fabric table.

Look I understand being cheap. But come on. How about more than 2 lanes for cash purchases. We rung up all our stuff and had to go stand in line. 2 lanes backed out to the walk lane. Walmart supercenter in Charleston WV is a great place to shop for anything that you need or something you just want an great prices on kid clothes.

Its almost never packed here. And if you go through self check out it all goes pretty smoothly and quickly. Ive found exactly the things Ive looked for in multiple stores now in Walmart where thereve been nowhere else. Im extremely satisfied with this experience.

Theres no such thing as calling to speak to a person unless theyre in ther deli. Nobody else will pick up the phone except to put you on hold and never come back.

Their online store inventory is pretty much a joke. A twenty minute drive just to find out that what I went after wasnt in stock.

Didnt have what I wanted which was frog legs. I bought the same item in Fl. two weeks ago in the frozen food department.

The lady at the fitting room this evening, and one of the ladies on the floor, were the nicest two Walmart employees I have spoken to in a very, VERY long time. I usually go to nitro market place Walmart because it is closer to me, however, I dont even ask for help from their employees anymore. If you are lucky enough to catch one thats trying to avoid you, and you get to ask them a question, they act like they are so put out by you that it literally makes me uncomfortable. I would rather spend the extra 20 minutes driving to Southridge Walmart and back which is exactly what Im going to start doing

South Charleston Walmart is a lot better than the Nitro Walmart more friendly, and well stocked.

This store is amazing. It is always very clean and tidy. The associated are super friendly and helpful. In fact, on my last visit, an associate went out of their way to not only find the brand of products I was looking for but they also found me outside of their department to let me know that they carried the brand but not the flavor. Made my day!

It was busy that everybody was friendly met some friends got some good stuff that I needed for the house and it was quick

No cash accepted at the self checkout machines and I had to wait in line for an hour waiting to check out with a cashier. Also, the products on shelf were limited. Help was hard to find when searching for axe shampoo.

I love going to Walmart even tho I always leave with everything irrelevant to the things I went in for & not to mention broke as well lol. But Im a evening/late night person & I wish Walmart would stay open 24 hrs already or at least later than 10 & 11. Theres been so many times Ive needed an item only sold at stores like Walmart & it would have made my life a little easier if I could have drove to Walmart & taken care of it. With the majority of everything going back to normal somewhat, I am trying to find out what the hold up is on why the hours of operation arent going back to 24hrs??

Just a quick in and out. Parking lot was packed but there were no lines. They have recently moved things around and I think its much better and roomier.

Decent Walmart. Cleaner than the last few I have been to. Like many other Walmarts there are no registers open and the handful of self check out systems were backed up the isles including express.

Always good service, and friendly atmosphere. Pet friendly and the employees always offer their help and go beyond to satisfy your needs. Always able to get in and get what I want and get out fast.

Walmart is starting to look like Kmart looked before it went out of business. Empty shelves, aisles filled with boxes, dirty floors and shelves, employees chatting with each other blocking the aisles and ignoring customers. Its still convenient for a lot of items but its getting harder and harder to find items actually stocked.

Walked in and said hello to the walmart greeter and was told rudely and abruptly I needed to wear a mask. I was maskless due to the mandate being lifted and being vaccinated. Anyways regardless of what’s mandated or not it’s ironic to be told to wear a mask when the employees aren’t wearing them. let’s pick a lane walmart.

They don’t answer the phone at all. I’ve called over 10 times to speak to someone about a delivery I placed with them and never got ahold of anyone to speak about the changes that were made to my order. I get the items were out of stock but all I wanted to do was swap them for other items but I couldn’t even do that CAUSE THEY DONT ANSWER THE PHONE

What can you say.........it’s always a madhouse at Walmart. Sorry........just being honest. However, my cashier was very friendly and polite and warned me of the horrible storm that was heading our way. She was nice and that’s always a huge bonus

Stock was way down though Easter is great for them all things considered. The selection/ variety is dwindling. Prices still good.

They do not have a cash register open in the late evening! Not ONE! I am disabled and cant take twice as long to self check out and finding help is like pulling teeth!!!! Would not recommend this store at all!!!! Also had appliances tagged for 1 penny on the shelf and would not sell it to me. I had two picked out. They said it was a mistake made by an employee. I call it false advertising!!!! I am disgusted w our store!!! If I could give it a zero I would! They need more employees and COMPETENT ONES AT THAT! False advertising. REALLY???

Better than most Wal Marts. Wider selection of most everything. CLEAN store. Only downfall i seen was all the aisles seem to be bunched together to get all the extra different stuff in there.

I ordered groceries online. I was supposed to get them at 12 pm.. I waited home all day they never came. I called the department one 12 had passed all day not one person answered. I called the next day explained to the lady what happened she tried to make it seems as if it were my fault. By the time I got my food the delivery people literally tossed my groceries onto my doorstep not to mention I waited until 5 pm the next day to receive them. I am a single mother of three little ones. As I’m putting away my groceries I notice all my frozen food is melted my kids popsicles were melted. All my frozen food that were in Cardboard containers were flimsy from defrosting. And the best part yet I received “Watermelon WHITE CLAW” alcohol I did not even purchase but didn’t receive my kids kool aid. Me bing of African descent made me feel very uncomfortable. I’m seriously debating on finding a lawyer horrible customer service absolutely horrible I will never order again !!

The only issue I ever had was when I would call and nobody would answer the phone. I called every department for my one question and nobody answered. Im calling Cross Lanes Walmart instead.

Sometimes I know you have to put somebody in another department that they dont work but when you do that you should make sure that they have the proper stuff to work in the department I tried to get free medicine for my dog the gentleman that was stacking dog food in the aisle I asked him if I could get some flea stuff because its locked up he said he didnt have the special key thing to give it off of there for me so he would call somebody to come and help me stood there for 20 minutes nobody came I asked the gentleman if somebody was coming he said he didnt know

Store is very neat and organized, they had a really small stationary selection and the funko pops selection was minimal. Other than that I did not come in to look at any other products, but what I saw it seemed decent.

Only 2 lines open and all self check out was closed. Stood in line for over 20 min just to pay.

Alex was awsome today! He helped me get some dog food off the shelf even though thats wasnt his department. Also bought some new seat cushions for my breakfast nook.

Easy to find what you are looking for

Once again I want to appreciate loudly and give thanks to the self checkouts that Walmart has added to their store. Makes things a lot easier and quicker to just have an arm load or so but dont let that stop you Ive seen people using extra buggies to self check their grocery items. And of course we all know how well stocked and organized they are thank you Walmart for adding more of the self checkout registers
