Stopped in for dinner and the staff recommended beef stew pie with mashed potatoes, peas, and lamb gravy floater on top was awesome! Delicious food, pretty filling, friendly staff, and nice patio setting on an October evening made for a nice experience. Maybe a little more than I expected on price after the floater, but I recommend, and plan to come back next time I’m in town. Good spot

Stopped in during a heat wave for something cold to drink in the afternoon. Saw this place and got a jasmine green tea - hit the spot! The pastries and scones looked delicious...didn’t have one, but they looked like 5 stars so I’ll go ahead leave that (also because the staff was super nice and chill).

Great little neighborhood spot. I was heartbroken when their former location had to close but so excited to see them pop back up in Bow Market in Somerville which is another favorite of mine! They have a lovely little setup sharing space with a nicely stocked co-op. Their current prix fixe brunch offerings are tasty (especially the frittata and the smoked salmon open faced croissant). All their stuff (pastries, breakfast food) is super fresh and absolutely a labor of love. Cant wait to try a loaf of their bread sometime soon!

I went here and got a take out order of the pressed vegan sandwich and some of the baked goods. The food was nothing special here and my biggest qualm was the portions were incredibly small. You have the option of ordering a half or whole sandwich. I had to do a double take when I got my order as I thought they gave me the wrong size (I ordered the whole). There were indeed two halves in there, albeit very small halves. The vegan chocolate muffin was very good, I would recommend getting that.

A delightful little bakery in Union Square with some of the best baked goods around. Now that Ive had their focaccia Im not sure I can buy any other bread in the area. The service is also amazing. I totally missed their note saying that online orders are for the next day and went just an hour later for pick up. They were nice about it and gave me my order anyway. This is the neighbourhood bakery Ive always wanted!

The Biscuit is a great, cozy cafe; one of the few independent cafes left in Boston. Run by a couple for the last 15 years, the baked goods and breads are made fresh everyday. The environment is comfortable, great for studying or for chatting. The food is also quite delicious. The daily soup is especially noteworthy. A well balanced menu with vegan options. Definitely recommend a visit to this cafe!!

I’ve been coming to this place since I moved to Somerville mainly because of lack of options within the area. After a while, I began to realize how overpriced it is and how bad their lattes taste. I’m not sure if it has to do with the paper straws or just the ingredients they used but it’s pretty disappointing to order a latte that’s overpriced then not be able to drink it because of how bad it tastes. Their pastries are good and I would give them an 8/10. Coffee is about a 3/10. Prices are a 2/10. Customer service 8/10.

The lemon scones are famous for a reason. I love the savory scones, and the soup here is healthy and so delicious. Many folks overlook the fresh baked bread. Dont miss out. Potato dill bread is my favorite. Theres nothing like sharing fresh baked bread over the dinner table after a long day.The atmosphere has character. This place is unpretentious, the staff is friendly, and the place is kept clean. In warm weather they open their deck, which is a lovely setting to enjoy.

Great place to stop by and get coffee and baked goods. :) Would recommend their lattes during the cold months, and iced Vietnamese coffee during the summer. Their sandwiches (I often get the smoked salmon) are also quite delicious if youre looking for someplace to get a light lunch. Just a note: the sandwiches are made to order, so might take a while to come out if the place is busy.

Ive lived down the street from the Biscuit for 4 years and frankly I am a fan. They have some seriously great baked goods (Banana bread brioche and any of their savory squares are top of my list). This isnt your typical starbucks fare, these goods are solid. I aspire to bake goods as good as the Biscuit. They have a wide variety of drinks and the coffee aint half bad. But I digress. The baked goods are why you should be there. Its worth noting that the service can be hit or miss. Ive had a few friends who have worked at the biscuits and have noted the owner is very hard to work for.Once when I brought my own mug they measured out how much would fit into it. And told me to make sure I remembered for next time. odd.

Good pastries, thoughtful sandwiches. Though the one I ordered (the egg and salmon caper) was made on a fairly disappointing piece of bread, I saw far more high quality rolls and things for sale around the counter, and it seemed there were diverse options on the menu as well depending on what sandwich you order. Good selection of cold drinks, nice interior, very friendly staff. I noticed the music they had playing and got into a very genuine and pleasant conversation with the cashiers about it. Ryan introduced himself, shook my hand, and invited me back warmly. For the interaction, the prices, and my experience with the food, I probably will take him up on that.

Get a savory scone. Or any other baked good. Fruit squares are to die for. Pies, pizza, cookies, they do everything top notch. I have never had a bad experience here. Excellent and friendly staff. Im picky about coffee and I think the cold brew is great. On the entrees/sandwich and salad menu - the portion sizes are a bit small for the prices, but all of Somerville has been becoming increasingly unaffordable and I believe this simply is a reflection of that.

The four stars are for the environment. Super cozy, lovely employees. Its a popular work place and can be a battle for the outlets during peak hours. For the food, Id give it 3 stars. The pastries tend to be dense and overcooked. The sandwiches are sort of strange compositions - like mush on mush on mush for the veggie goats gruff, etc. I still kind of like them, though, so I suppose they must be getting something right. But theres hardly a piece on that menu that couldnt be improved upon in some way.The coffee is too sour for my taste but not objectively bad in my opinion (lol) so Ill let you decide for yourself whether its phenomenal or meh 😇

The baked goods at the Biscuit are fresh and delicious, with options such as cheddar and onion savory scones, tomato and feta squares, banana bread, and more.
