Maybe not my _sine qua non_ of bagels in the area but Id put these bagels up against anything NY, PA, DE, MD, or even CT (bless their collective heart) have to offer.At the time of my visit they were out of salt bagels but the Pork Roll, Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich on an Everything did not disappoint! Fast, prompt, friendly, thrifty and awesome! Ill be back. 5/5, definitely recommend.

Have not been here since they opened under new management. This time they seem more polite and customer oriented versus when the new management took over. Would go back great selection of bagels

Custormer service sucks. The lady is so rude. Will not be returning. They need to treat there customers better after all that’s how they get paid.

The food here is good but they rush EVERYTHING! The customer service could be better if they would take their time. The lady that answers the phone rush’s the order so much so that she doesn’t even listen to what you’re trying to say, instead she tries to guess ahead. Today I ordered a regular turkey sub no extra complications & the order was incorrect! this isn’t the first time they’ve done this but instead of being accommodated for their mistake i was easily rushed off the phone a given a simple “ sorry “… The lady ( Amy ) said it was her mistake for the misunderstanding but yet did nothing, she went completely silent when I even mentioned that what i received is not something i even eat and made it seem as if they wouldn’t be able to make another sandwich. moral of this story is i will not continue business with you’ll and i’ve been coming here for YEARS!

I got a french toast bagel with cream cheese. Bagel was perfect (crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside) and excellent service. The lady at the counter was super nice and welcoming. My coworkers were also very satisfied with their bacon egg and cheese on croissants. Definitely will go back again!

I just walked out without being able to order. I walked in there 10 minutes ago just wanting to order two bagels and a sandwich. I stood by the bagel display with the “order here sign”. There were a few people walking back and forth behind the counter trying to take phone orders, but apparently I was invisible to them. Two other women walked in and stood behind me. An employee by the cash register called over to us to ask if anyone is picking up. The two women behind me proceeded to walk over there to “ask a question” then began placing their order with her. I waited another 2 minutes to realize no one here has any interest in taking my order, so I’ll just never come back.

The Owner opens the Deli up for me at 5:50am whenever I come early just so I can get my order and be on time for work in the morning, Great People,Great Food!!!

Great food. Bagels and platters are always excellent. Service could be better, but I think a lot of the customers are just too harsh to leave negative reviews because of the lady at the counter. Yes, english does not appear to be her first language but that doesnt mean you should scold her for that. Ive had some very kind conversations with her and I feel as though many of us just dont know how hard she works. She works 6-7 days a week with her husband, getting up at 5 AM everyday to come help set up the bagel shop. From there, she works from 6 AM to 3 PM taking orders, working at the register, and cleaning before they close. Trust me on this, I come here VERY frequently and she is ALWAYS there. So the next time you come, please be patient with her. If she cant understand you clearly, kindly explain in a respectful tone. And if she looks tired or out of it, remember that she works 9-10 hours everyday for you. She is one of the kindest and most hard working people Ive ever met.

Really cozy breakfast atmosphere! Great selection—croissants, muffins, pastries, and plenty different types of bagels. Plus a menu for more breakfast and lunch foods. Quick service, good food, friendly staff, reasonable to cheap prices. The only slight things were: they don’t serve water free of charge, and they put too much cream cheese on the bagels, so next time we’ll ask for about half the amount.

The eggs are really overcooked and gross, potatoes had a freezer burn taste to them and so did the turkey sausage. After a couple of bites I threw my food in the garbage. Stick to the sandwiches I heard they are actually good. Do not waste your money on any of the breakfast platters.

If you thought bagel places cant be anything except a bagel place, you are wrong. This place is fantastic. Not only do they have a wide variety of bagel flavors, they have an even more impressive selection of spreads (most of which they make right there). They also feature Philadelphia cream cheeses for the more typical flavors.Dude, I hate coffee, and their coffee is amazing. The workers there are so nice! Always a smile, always so prompt, speedy, and attentive. I love how mom-and-pop this is, and I swear if this place is geographically an option for me at a given time that Im hungry, I wont choose any other breakfast or bagel place. The bagels are so fluffy, fresh, and chewy. They use the PERFECT amount of cream cheese, and actually bother to spread it neatly so there isnt a gigantic lump of cream cheese in the hole (Im looking at you, DD).Plenty of room to sit down, and sit down comfortably. Its decorated enough to be cozy and pleasant, but roomy enough for plenty of guests.Listen, just dont bother getting bagels anywhere else. I know you didnt think sub-par existed for something as mundane as bagels, but here...bagels are anything but mundane and ordinary. They are so good, everything else is sub-par when you didnt even realize there was a par. These guys are the bagel equivalent of the Asian in your lecture that ruins the curve.

Ordered three of the same sandwiches. Something told me to check my bag. 1 of the sandwiches had double meat and cheese, which I didnt order. I took the sandwich back inside making the cashier aware that the sandwich was made wrong. I didnt have time to wait so I asked for a refund for the one sandwich. The cashier then turns around to the cook to ask him how much the sandwich was. I asked her why are toy asking him how much the sandwich was and your the one who charged me at the register? She obviously got caught over charging me and all of a sudden didnt have a clue what i was trying to say. I left the sandwich and that place without getting a refund because I was so pissed off with what just happened.

Great food. Fresh bagels. Super awesome staff! And the coffee, oh my god! The coffee is absolutely heavenly. Place is packed on weekends but service is quick! Been here so many times now, dont feel the need to try another place :)

Great food but their attitude is absolutely unnecessary. I was trying to order an egg sandwich and one lady was explaining to me that I was ordering it wrong. So she was explaining to me the type of sandwiches I was probably trying to order. And my boyfriend was helping me out and tried to order it for me but then the lady came out of nowhere and said honey, Im talking to her. Not you. I know how to do my job. And my boyfriend was taken aback and told her after she was done explaining that he was just trying to help me and that her attitude was completely unnecessary. And she said Well I was just trying to do my job by explaining to her. And dont tell me how to do my job. I know what Im doing! And that made my boyfriend fired up so he said Excuse me! And she said youre excused. And at this point he got angry and I had to pull him away from her. He is a manager at CVS so he was telling her that from a customer service point of view, her attitude and service were extremely poor. And she said honey, thats your problem. Not mine!

This place has had ups and downs - 4 years ago started going here and the food was fast, done well, and no issues. Then I believe there was a management change - food took forever, the orders were always incorrect and the prices went up. Been going again in the last few months - they have a ticketing system now where they write your order and you show to cashier this seems to keep everything in order - the cashier ringing you up, getting out orders quickly, and the cooks not messing up orders. Overall - there has been an improvement. They dont have a great variety of bagels - they also dont have the same quality bagels Kettlemans has, but they have ample space to sit and are very fast. Overall not a bad place for bagels or a deli sandwich.

This is my Breakfast spot. Great food & staff but the prices always vary for the 2 same orders I get for the last year. Its annoying & feel cheated, hence only 2 stars. When I ask the cashiers why the different price, they always have a lame reason followed with ask the owner. I dont mind paying a price that is higher but then update your menu board to be more clear & tell us the hidden charges. Gonna have to find another spot as this is getting old.Update: 8/2017Have not been here for months. Decided to give them another try. New lady behind register, same issue as before. They quietly add additional charges here and there. She did apologize for the error when I called her out. Left the same money she over charged me in the tip jar. Hope she gets the point, dont cheat people just because they dont pay attention to small overcharging here n there. They have not won my business back, thats roughly $100 a month that goes to a competitor. The cooking/serving staff are A+. Sad the bagels are awesome but the owners dont seem to have integrity. They need to fix the over pricing practice.

We had bagels from here this morning at a breakfast meeting and they were fantastic. Ariel from TheOneBagelNJ brought them and they did not disappoint. They also have a great deal on Wednesdays when you buy a dozen.

Other than making the trip into Brooklyn ( I reside in NEPA now ) where I grew up, my bagel/bialy craving gets satiated when I travel into central New Jersey to see family and friends. Although finding a quality bagel in NJ is a fairly simple quest, the closest to Brooklyn bagel goes hands down to the bagel market & deli in Somerset off Easton Ave. Boiled and baked the way its supposed to be with the everything bagel being crowned king. The toppings are abundantly plentiful, the outside crust perfect, and the inside doughy and delicious. A toasted everything bagel with a shmear of scallion cream cheese and a cup of coffee or a yoo-hoo... whichever makes you smile is a guarantee that your day will be a good one. Cant ask for anything more than that. Enjoy!!!

New owners clearly dont know how to run a business. Wait times have increased, they clearly do not know their product and will constantly hold you up for charging the wrong price. With plenty of other places in the area, I will not be returning here.

On the fence here, because the employees are great and the food is actually very good; I just cant stand the owner anymore. It was off-putting watching her treat her employees disrespectfully (yes, customers notice that), but then she went out of her way to charge me extra for something I explicitly said I didnt want to pay extra for...after she had already rung me up. For context, I ordered an egg/meat/cheese sandwich on a bagel, a bagel with cream cheese, and a triple decker sandwich for lunch (my usual on a work from home day, and a fairly large order for 1 person). Should have seen it coming, because whats included in the Triple Decker sandwich changed every time I went in there (price didnt and menu description didnt). Apparently a triple decker doesnt come with lettuce and tomato, news to me, and they cost $.50 extra each. I had already paid, and I said leave it off if it costs extra, but apparently it had already been put on (note, I never requested it either way when I ordered), so now I had to break a $20 to pay an extra $1.07 (with tax) after she was running back and forth behind the counter like I was trying to pull a fast one on her. Guess what lady, it was a dollar...hope it was worth losing a regular customer over. Now I go to Bagel Peddler, just as good, more friendly, and I noticed the employee who was the biggest victim of the disrespect that I mentioned seems to be doing quite well there too.

Love this place. Everyone is very friendly and the prices are great. One time they messed up my order and quickly took it back, fixed it no questions asked.

My coworkers ordered omelets and French toast, the toast was a little burnt on the edges tasted bitter. The eggs in the omelet was over cooked had a brown color and order was missing the home fries. The service was VERY VERY slow.

I would give zero stars if that was an option. .Ordered a platter which when picked up was told that I had to pay a higher price than the amount on my order receipt. The owner -“Annie” said she made a mistake and needed to charge me more for HER miscalculated mistake. Unbelievable ! There are tons of other bagel stores around - forget this one with shady business practices and really bad customer service .

Great food, great value, great service. The place is always packed and that is a testament to their quality and even when there are so many people the quality is still excellent and they serve you quickly and with friendly service.

Thank God this place is under new management. But there still are some kinks sometimes when you order they get it wrong and when you mention it they get frustrated. I also noticed when the new owner is not there the employees focus more on their morning conversation than the customers. Some of the employees are rude if they see you order something different than the usual because now they have and communicate it to the cook. Food is ok but customer service lacking

The bagel place has gone down over the last few years. Its like the soup kitchen you dont get a cup until you pay where in the old days you just took your coffee and paid when you paid for your bill. The service is very slow and its always a cluster f*** when trying to pay your bill. It also seems that they changed the cooks who made the eggs and sandwiches.

Only had their bagels, dont know how lunch is.

I would give more stars but the lady at the counter think its the owners wife if horrible no customer service what so ever. And you have to check the amounts she charges because they almost never match the price you see.
