Restas Car Care has been very thorough and conscientious during the three decades that I have used their services. They stand by their work--if anything is wrong with what they have done (which is very rare), they will rectify it immediately at no additional charge. Their customer care far exceeds my expectations, and I would be hard pressed to find any other retail establishment that I like better.

My car broke down on a Sunday morning right at the light, so I pulled into Restas. The gas station attendant was super nice and helpful and made me feel very comfortable about leaving my car there overnight. They called me the next morning with an estimate. Price was fair and the work was completed that day. The repair was done very well. The owner, Frank, is a really great guy.

I dont know how this place can possibly have a 4+ star. Its really a scam rating system on google. People should go to Yelp to see reviews from real users. I sent my car in for a regular oil change. The person whose name is John told me my car is unsafe to drive because the control arm is loose. He said that I could kill myself and others if I continue to drive the car. He also said that the brakes and the suspension system need repair. He gave me a quote of $3000 to repair everything. I was suspicious so he lowered the price to $2500. I brought it to a garage I had known. They told me the loose control arm was not that serious. They fixed everything for $1000. I think this John person tries to rip people off especially women and elderly people. He wouldnt do that to a guy if he thinks you know cars. The owner of the place is an older guy who seemed to be nice. But this younger guy John sitting in the front is hurting his business reputation by ripping people off. Im surprised that they actually have good rating. Thats because people he rips off probably dont go to the internet to report it. I would caution everyone who goes there for service.

Ive been taking my car(s) to Restas for everything from simple thibgs like oil changes, tune-ups, and clutch cables to much more involved problems including transmission work, CV joints and even a broken axle and dropped universal out on Route 287. They have awesome mechanics, extremely reasonable prices and will even give you a ride home after dropping your car off for service. The entire staff there always makes you feel like youre one of their best friends and youll be getting the best of everything, as if youre one of the family. I highly recommend this business. I have and will always send my friends there for service whenever Im asked if I know a good place for car service.

My 80+ year-old sister has been coming to this seemingly neighborhood friendly service for her 1990(!) Toyota Camry. About two years ago she told me about a repair that cost her $1700, perhaps more than double of the cars value. I wanted to dispute through the credit card but gave up because everything they did was “legal”, which means the customer “agreed” to the proposed work. The fact is they never gave her a warning that the car’s value was much below the cost of repairing. I just read the review of Leah Shee about her experience of a much inflated quote and the owner’s response. All I want to say is: Yes they may have been nice to customers in general as we see in many good reviews. But “occasional” rip off of the elderly and vulnerable is still unethical and unacceptable.

I bought a coupon for oil change, I been trying to get an appointment from them but they kept postponing things and felt very irresponsible customer service. After a long await finally for an oil change they asked me to leave the car with them for half day. I don’t think people need half day for oil change. Don’t ever buy coupons to get serviced here. I think reviews are fake here.I just uploaded a screen shot of the coupon in your website. I might use another email I’d, it doesn’t mean my review is fake. If you don’t get my name in your database. I used my friends account to purchase the coupon.

On short notice took my vehicle, did the repair, provided transportation, to and from the station, washed the car. All staffer were friendly. The manager Peter was most knowledgeable and inspired confidence.I was certain that I was going to be pleased and I was.

Just.an oil change and filter but got me in and out with time to spare!

Watch for the upsell. 2 yrs ago I brought my car for an oil change and they told me the radiator hoses feel soft and could be replaced. About 3 months ago I brought my car again for an oil change an they told me the same thing plus a lot of other things. Whats odd about this is during those 2 years I brought my car to a lot of places and no one ever told me the radiator hoses should be replaced. I dont know how this place has gotten all these 5 stars. Fake reviews maybe? Spoke to the owner today and he seemed sincere. Told me it was a safety issue and he was following the manufactures recommendations so I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.
