Carlos is one of the most professional mechanics in the area..Honesty and knowing the trade being a master ASE certified technician for the past 30 years....I have personally been going to Carlos for repair since 2000..Sure, I have gone to other techs because of location or emergency situations...But, I have always steered back to Carlos..Im very hard to please, Carlos is patient and seriously tries to find the best solution for his customers, who most by the way are like family to him...One bad experience does not defy a business..So in short, CMP Auto Repair is #1 on my list...

The previous review is not an accurate description of this business. My family has used CMP Auto repair for over 6 years for oil changes, tires, transmission change. And not one problem. Carlos is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. His prices are very reasonable. Do not hesitate to take your car to CMP.

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!Absolute crook. The owner, Carlos, promised me who could fix my car. The thermostat blew, and the engine overheated, and needed to be replaced. I was ready to junk it, but he said he could find another engine and have us up and running in no time. Well, he did get us up and running, but the car stalled 3x the first month, and never sounded the same. Finally, after the 4th stall, I went to a different mechanic, who said the engine he put in had over 200,000 miles and was basically trash. Which is where my car is now. The only difference is that Im $2,000 poorer. But, I did find a trustworthy mechanic in Bob at RCM in Bound Brook. Go there, and boycott this crook at CMP.
