I am so glad I found this place. Its hard to find a great hobby store, much less one thats semi close.This place had everything I needed and as a tremendous bonus, someone who taught me how to do something. As oppose to just doing it. He taught me so I learned something new.A truly amazing place if you are looking for anything r/c. Highly recommended to all.

I myself am not into RC. However my husband is relatively new to RC planes, he got his son and new son in law involved when they recently came for a family visit. Billy and Cindy where incredibly helpful, they have a nice inventory of Rcs both new and slightly used items. We live nearly hour and a half away but worth the drive!!!

Great place, I live in Nashville and they were the closest place to me that had Traxxas parts. The owners were incredibly helpful and nice. They have a great selection of parts and R/C cars, planes, models etc. We will definitely be going back.

Great selection of hobby products from planes to helicopters to rockets. Very well organized and has almost everything you could need. Wish they had plastic cement and other products for rockets but thats alright. For sure will be back to support a local hobby shop!

Family Hobbies is a great place to shop and Billy has been super nice every time that I have gone into the store. He has helped me out with RC car issues that I have had on my own personal stuff that I have bought before I ever knew about Family Hobbies. I waited there for 20 minutes with my r.c cars. All for the lady to tell me my car was older and they knew nothing about it. that makes sense your in the business for years and you cant find one part for my car. and my other car I was trying to get built all they could say I was 2/3 done. captain obvious. I wouldnt recommend this place to a ten year old with $10,000 gift certificate. I guess my car wasnt good enough 🤮🤮🤢🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

This family owned business is great. They are always friendly and willing to help. The store has all your hobby parts for helicopters, airplanes, and card/trucks. If they dont, they are usually able to order the part. The only downside is the store is a little chaotic with parts, so trying to find what you need on your own can be a little troublesome at times. Overall, I am glad we have a place like this, as I have purchased several helicopters and a drone from here already, along with misc. parts.

I really like the atmosphere of the shop. There arent many like it left. Good people that fly, drive, and float rc. I havent been going there long but i already love them.

Plenty of good used stuff, too, with competitive pricing, help that genuinely knows what theyre talking about and enjoys what they do...it really is a great hobby shop! What all hobby shops should aspire to be.They even have Real Flight 8 set up in the corner ready for anyone to have a go at!

I have never seen someone take advantage of my son then the owners of this store. I am very unhappy and the man knew what he was getting and the price he could sell it for. I would not recommend this place at all!! I wish I could give them 0 stars!!!

Honestly I went in looking for another car or drone and came out with a simulator. I didnt catch the guys name but he was very friendly, explained everything, and had a competitive price. Too bad I dont live close because Id shop there for all my RC needs.

Im very pro local hobby shop especially locally owned and not associated with a chain so thats why I go here as much as possible. They have fair prices and good selection for main rc cars. Family owned and the whole family works there. The problem is they dont seem to be enjoying themselves. Billy the expert knows planes not cars and acts very annoyed when you need his time to explain something or just basic help. He just wants to sell you something and get you out the door. He is obviously overwhelmed. He has given both good advice and also led me down the wrong road. If you have a question or problem with your car then he leads you to believe it was totally your fault and couldnt be a manufacturer issue but if hes selling you something he leads you to believe you cant hurt the thing and if you do it will be a manufacturer issue. Hes not built for retail. His wife tries to be more helpful but doesnt have the knowledge. The kids seem more happy and try to be as helpful as possible. They sometimes have friends working to fill in and they are the most helpful. They will actually look at your vehicle and come from behind the counter and have a discussion with you about whats going on and help you troubleshoot. They are not burned out. I will get advice and buy straight from the manufacturer but I hate that amazon is take over the world so thats about the only reason I support this local family owned business. Good Luck!

Used to like this Hobby Shop,not anymore! The owners are nice to you as long as you spend a bunch of $ on every visit. If your a just buying parts(build supplys,fuel,etc) they act like they can care less if they get your business or not. Their return policy is a joke! All sales final? Not even so much as a store credit! Only 14 day exchange policy? With that being said make sure your 100% sure you get your purchase EXACTLY right every time people. I have shopped here since they opened,and not once have they honored their so called price match policy! I understand say a Hobby King price,but another local store give me a break.As of August 2017,my days off shopping and supporting this business is over. With the web nowadays better offering better prices,free or 1.99 super saver shipping,I would rather just purchase what I need that way. This place used to have the personal shopping experience but for the last two years at least,nothing but bad attitudes.....You walk in no hi,hello,how ya doing or anything. One owner always sitting by the front door at the counter too busy on her laptop to help you. Lord forbid ask her for help and you get a Billy(other owner)can you help him response. Their son is a know it all which would be fine if he actually knew something?All three of them argue and bicker back and forth in front of customers. Hey Mom just smack him in the chops please :) What disrespect for your mom dude. Take my advice dont sign up for there so called Rewards Program they just want your personal info,and spam your inbox! If you do spend $20 or more opt out. Six years still havent been rewarded folks.... Go too any local flying Field or RC club anywhere in Middle TN enough, and you will find one of them there always with a Family Hobbies logo shirt on only to try to promote their business,and not for the fun and promotion of the hobby,only themselves.That should tell you everything you need to know right there.Bye Bye Non Family Hobbies!!!!!!!

They have everything you would need or want that is rc related. From rc cars/trucks to airplanes and drones, they were also very nice and knowledgeable. I believe theyre family owned too!

The family was very nice, knowledgeable, and informative. Never felt pressured to buy anything. They are happy to show you everything.

Mostly an RC shop but they have some models and model supplies in the back room, which is what drew me in. They mostly carry basic supplies like glue, brushes, and tools. Id love for them to have a wider variety of model stuff but I was excited to find that they have a decent selection of Tamiya and Testors/Model Master paints, as well as Tamiya masking tape. They have a fair number of model kits on the shelves but its an odd mix and theres only one of each thing, so dont count on finding any particular kit or plane, tank, ship, or car. Weve been there twice so far - the first time they were very friendly and the second time seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else. Still nice to find a local hobby place. Its my first stop in town when I need something for a project.

My first,and last visit to this business. The owners didnt once ask me if I needed any help finding anything,no customer service at all! When I did ask for some help I was told to Give me a minute? I was one of two customers in the store and he wasnt taking up any of there attention. There are three people that work there. One lady who didnt even look up for her computer as I walked in the door. The older gentleman with the grey hair Im assuming is her husband and the owner was just moping around the front counter, acting like he would rather be somewhere else. Im only assuming theyre Son the dark haired guy with the funny goatee and glasses, who is kind of strange,breezed right on by me yelling across the store to his mother Im going to get something to eat, and proceeded to storm out of the store.Dont waste your time at this store anyway, they hardly have any parts inventory and what they do have they have only one of. Theyre used collection of cosine models are either overpriced or not even worth selling. I noticed a FMS Texan hanging from the ceiling with a sign on it that said used $200 blah blah blah, including the rips? In other words it had a patched-up foamy fuselage with tape on it that was in fact a ripped. At least theyre signage on it was being honest. Why even hang something from like that from your ceiling.I also noticed a mid 90s model used motor for sale it was a 2 stroke 40 size made in Japan ASP I think,priced at 50 bucks, are you joking me.Look like it had been crashed it had broken fins and look older than Methuselah. You can buy a brand new K&B 40 size now manufactured in the good old USA brand new for $79!I have run into the owner at a few events and local RC clubs, as one previous reviewer stated,but he wasnt supporting anything but promotion of his business, as he asked me if I had visited his store, while wearing his family Hobby Polo tee.That has How I Learned of this shabby place. Overpriced, no inventory, no customer service, I would give this place no stars if I could. Note to the owners take down those smiley pictures that you posted of yourself because none of you smiled when I was there.

They dont abide by there return policy.Even tho its days 14 days The owner wanted to only give half my money back. I was going to buy another one of there qauds,that didnt matter..They act like your best friend when buying.then dont wont anything to do with you..

Good people with a pretty cool store. Id really love some RC car and truck parts that are NOT Traxxas. Maybe some more Arrma, generic dog bone shapes and sizes, etc... best place in town.

I had a pleasant experience with this hobby store. I called them in the morning to see if they had a Traxxas Slash 4x4 ultimate in stock. They had one and they held it for me until I arrived.

Very very polite staff. Prices are great. Im one of those annoying customers who kind of looks at everything three times just to look and then leaves with a couple of props, so I can testify to the fact that they arent against looky-loo types. Lol. (That said, Im polite enough to only ask questions about things I want to actually buy).In an era where hobby shops are dying off, this one is still here and theres a good reason for that. I live 40 min away, and Ill gladly drive down from Nashville for even the smallest parts.
