Ive lived in Smyrna for 19 year and this evening I stopped for the first time at Par Mart to get some kerosene. It was starting to get dark, I pulled up to the pump, got out and turned on the pump but the pump never reset. After waiting a few minutes I went in to see what I needed to do to get the pump turned on. I was informed I must prepay, which is ok but I stated to the clerk there were no signs posted. I pulled out my credit card to pay and he informed me, that it was dark and that he didnt know me. I told him forget it, there was no way I was going to be insulted and also purchase there product.When did it become a prerequisite to know the clerk before getting gas or kerosene??? Im fine with rules but how about posting them and how about clerks that are a little less condescending.
