This is our go-to place for a lot of sports/play related things and the associates are always kind and helpful.

This Academy is always really well maintained and organized. They have a lot of great products and decent prices. I always come here to buy new sneakers for walking and running.

Odd set up.Clean store.Most staff was nice a few acted if you where not welcome to be there.Prices ok and fair. Shop the sales rack for good deals.

Make sure to look at shoes when you buy them. I got excited about some boots I found for my 8 year old daughter.. Only to be disappointed to realize they are both left side shoes now Im going to have to drive 40 miles to swap them or they may not have any more.. I will change this review to 5 stars because a employee found my daughter boot in back. And she loves her boots. Out of 8 pair of shoes she wears then the most.

I am a fish and hunt kind of guy. They usually have everything you need in those when it comes to those 2 things. I had been looking everywhere for a 100% polyester shirts for my business and found them here. If you need croc they got plenty. Shoe selection is good but no great. This is the best all-around sporting good store.

They had the shoes I was looking for at a reasonable price

I recently had spinal surgery, so I needed new shoes; of course when we got there, we found other stuff to get. Upon check out, the clerk noticed that the shoes were two different sizes. Thankfully, my wife was able to find a pair that were the same. I hate to think if we had gone to another store, like Walmart, that I would have went home with a pair that was unequal. Way to service Academy, good show.

They dont over charge for gun related items like a lot of other places have started doing.

Always clean and organized. They have what Im looking for and more. I was returning an item on my last visit but forgot my receipt. They looked it up by my card I paid with and I got my refund super fast. Staff is always willing to help. My go to sporting goods store and I dont even live in the same town.

Good selection of everything I could tell. Went in for some fishing gear and they had a decent selection of everything. Recommended over the Cool Springs TN store as far as fishing gear is concerned.

They have a lot of stuff, sporting and not sporting. Prices are pretty decent. Store is generally orderly and clean, except when customers are busy destroying the bike section.

Went in looking for ear plugs and a gun cleaning kit. Found them no problem. Store was a little bare cause it was July 4th long weekend. But I still got what I needed. Cashier was super friendly.

Great! Chad was very helpful and went beyond to find out if a grill was in stock let us know that we could have yall to put it together for us and I picked it up the next day and was able to cook burgers for dinner cant get any easier than that. Thanks Chad 🤗

Terrible customer service. There was clearly no management team member on site at the front. This is why Amazon is doing so well because nobody wants to come to a store to receive such bad customer service. If a manager see this, please review the camera at the cashier areas about 5:30-5:45pm today and see why you were lacking. Meanwhile Amazon will continue getting my business.

Staff at the gun dept is amazing and super personable... They are great, so are the cashiers. Staff located in the section when you buy online could have been more observant of customers waiting to be helped.

Great prices, the sale isle was unbelievable

Its a great sports and outdoor store, IMO its better than anything else in a 30 miles radius even BPS. There is always great sale items and they carry everything that I have ever needed so far including this wood baseball bat that I customized for home defense just in case the stun gun or real gun isnt easy to reach.

Jeff started helping us and turned us right over to Clif for all our lineman needs. I am forever grateful. If he ever attempts to leave tell him he has to stay until Teagan makes it to the NFL

Ive been in this store several times and it always looks like its going out of business. Terrible merchandising for sure, empty shelves. Very disorganized shoe department that I have never been able to find a size because the boxes are all scrambled. Bottom line is that it would be a great place to open a sporting goods store if they had a clue how to organize it.

Went for a backpack they had it.. I bought it. And a couple of other item they had on sale!

I bought a $119 fishing pole and $150 reel from Academy Sports for a birthday gift upon the first use the pole snapped. I took it back to exchange it but they didnt have another one and they refused to give me another pole of the same value or my money back with the receipt basically they sold me a defective item with no way to get my money back or another item.

Academy Sports is like the place to go when you know your activities are going to take you outdoors.

First experience here. Pickup order took 15min with an empty store and tons of employees. They stock a lot of products, but not enough of the essentials.

We shopped at this location earlier, everyones shopping for the Christmas holiday, the store was clean, staff were very helpful, polite and Id definitely recommend shopping here!!

I found things I could were and try on there.

Customer service was excellent but the clearance section was an absolute mess, I was just trying to pick up a quick donation gift and ended up with a full priced pair because it was in such dissoray. Most of the shoes were in mixmatch boxes with mixatched sizes, and mixatched brands, and almost every top had been cut off. Theres got to be a better system.

Customer service is pathetic. Not willing to help in any way to fix an issue in a defected item they sold. Always be sure to inspect your item before you take it home.

Purchased a rifle and they got it setup with a new scope for super cheap.
