Today I was there i got appointment at 10 for get tires price and sales deals,but I got different price with online checking i did last night around 100 $ different i ask paulo why, he said because two different size of tire, I didnt see anywhere wirting that should same size just i saw that 4 pair same brand .And also I am not happy with customer care that he did.P.s I asked him how long does it take for change tire, he said leave car whole of day ......
A store located at the very end of the shopping center, this Pep Boys had staff that helped me in a couple of areas. The first was the need for something that would cosmetically fix the paint on my car. The staff helped me find some rubbing compound, although they did not look at my car parked right out front. In the end, the stuff did not work.The second issue involved a concern I had about my battery. Well, not MY battery - Im not Iron Man or anything - but my cars battery. So I pulled it around the side of the building and Klaus (the Man!) tested it. He advised the battery may be dying, and suggested several options for replacement... all at no charge (get it? Battery, no charge? Sigh... Ill see myself out now.).
Very honest people. I came just after they closed oh, and were helpful enough to steer me to another store without hesitation.
I seriously hate to tell this story because how embarrassing it is for me but long story short, they charged me over $200 to change my headlights... embarrassingly enough, I regrettingly paid for it at the time. The headlights were only $55 for both, and they charged me around $150 for labor...to change my HEADLIGHTS. I got there before they opened because I was in a hurry to get this done which I reiterated to the manager. At least 5 cars were finished before my headlights were fixed. An incredibly quick and easy task. After 60 minutes of waiting in the goodwill next door, I went over to the garage to stand by my car. After standing near my car for 20 minutes waiting for an employee to walk bye, I got the text saying my car is finished and I should come and pay. I have never had a problem with pep boys in general...this was my first time at this location, and definitely my last.
Outstanding service, Crystal went above and beyond helping me resolving my automotive problems. She work hard to keep the prices down, the mechanic, Shawn, explained in detail what was found during the inspection. Thanks again!!

Pet Boys Simi Valley really needs to learn what customer service is. I made an appointment for an oil change for the company van, but when I went in they said they were too busy and did not honor my appointment time. I was told to bring it in the next day, Sunday, and again they said they were busy and since it was a company car they needed to get approval but the company was closed on Sundays. I should have been informed of this on Saturday, or better yet they should have honored my original appointment.
The best Pep Boys ever for real!!!! they have everything you need for your vehicle from parts to detailing supplies. And they have variety to select from. All staff are knowledgeable n friendly. Always welcome you with a great vibe and ask if you need any assistance. And always trynna give their customers a better value or bundle. The even carry chemical guys, Meguiars etc. they always have a good deal on oil n filter as w bundle. And they even reward you with credict. How kool is that!!! Thank u pep boys. And thank you Jay Hernandez (Pep Boys staff) for all your help. Very knowledgeable dude. He knows his parts. I will def recomend to friends n family for all auto parts n detailing supplies. Honest service staff. I came in for tires and rims for my vehicle. Unfortunately, they were unable to beat a price from a competitor. The mechanic told me that the tires at the other competitor were a good price and quality and didnt discourage me from buying them. I have purchased many products from Pep Boys and will continue to do so because the staff is honest and they have integrity. Most their prices are good too.
I bought a battery from pepboys and the battery died. Went back to have it replaced to find the battery had leaked out, which ruined the negative connection. Instead of replacing the wire the decided to not connect the negative wire to the battery. Just a major safety issue. Will never go back would not send any of my friends or family. Go to Walmart instead.Update since posting Pepboys contacted me saying Ill be contacted to resolve this issue. I havent recieved a call back in 2 weeks now. Confirming my rating of 1 star. Would put lower if I could.
Change my Headlight fixed it
I usually take my vehicle here for my vehicle maintenance because they are fast and efficient every time. I dont know what happened to the taller manager but he is no longer there. The new assistant manager is much slower. My first time with him helping me I received notification my car was finished. When I picked it up no one was at the front desk and I waited about 20 min. The assistant manager Edwin parked his car walked in and no apology for the wait. He just muttered something under his breath. The second time he helped me, same thing. Gone from the front desk. Waited 10 min as he was paged. Luckily one of the employees named Brian came in apologized was fast efficient and unlike the assistant manager (Edwin), it felt like he knew the computer system. Was also courteous and personable. If the current assistant manager stays Ill probably take my business somewhere else.
These guys are fantastic and very pleasant.Called up about needing a tire change but after learning that all i needed was a new tire and I hadnt had a spare to bring my vehicle with me, they took the liberty of fitting me in that hour into their busy schedule without any hassle.Drove over with my buddy to get the tire and they were quick about replacing it. Let me know about a dent in the rim and even told me to come back that hour free of charge just to have my tires swapped and filled to ensure my safety.
Lost my familys business.. I made an appointment but was then told that they would prioritize my car but there were lots of cars to work on so to be patient. (was the first appointment of the day) Was told 4 hours plus for 2 tires n a potential alignment. They also refused payment over phone unfortunately or I would have still had my car worked on. Got her fixed cheaper, faster, at a shop with a full bay half the size got her done in an hour or two on a drop in no appointment. And the bay window wasnt blacked out so I could view my car. 🧐🤓

I had my car repaired working with Brett and George. They were both amazing. I had a limited budget, my car ended up needing more and they did absolutely everything they could within reason. I still need to take it back to them for a few more repairs, but Id trust them implicitly. Great guys. I should have written this review last month in fact, but stuff got in the way. But I definitely wanted them to know how much I appreciated all their hard work.
I set an appointment online for changing headlights. I went there at the appointment time and they said it will be a few hours. I said I have an appointment but apparently thats only for dropping off your car and then you have to wait until they finish their other work first. Then he said to change the headlights is more than the 21$ quote standard fee online and talked about taking off the tires etc..! I walked away immediately....Not going there for service again. Thousand Oaks pep boys was more pleasant.
If I can give this place more than five stars I would. For full synthetic oil change I got 25 off of the regular price making it $45. Compared to other shops which average about 85 to $90. After everything was complete they showed me my air filter for my engine needed to be changed because it was dirty and they offered free maintenance on that just with the purchase of the filter for $15. In the end spending under $65 for full synthetic oil change and a new engine filter is amazing. Also the people working there are the best. Eric who I assume is the manager was a lot of help and a very generous person I highly recommend every person to get their maintenance done here
Dont bother take your time and money some where else. The store manager at the time whose name I wont mention(she). No customer service and rude and thats putting it litely. You should also change your service hours since I arrived at 730am and nobody for service arrived until 830pm. Customer service is key for a business and you guys lack it.
My name is Margaret woods, I went to pep boys today in Simi Valley (this was not my first experience with this store) and received assistance from Victor at the service desk and Richard inside the auto parts store. I cannot say enough good things about these young men and this Pep Boys location as a whole, exceptional!! For all of you individuals who are looking for an honest, respectful and knowledgeable team of professionals to work on your automobile, I highly recommend you head to this location immediately! I have recommended this location to several friends and family members and they have all had positive experiences. Please note: today i was looking for tires and stopped at Costco.. was ..quoted $640.00, then went to Mexicali Tires on LA Ave. $180 x 4 for used tires. Thank goodness for Pep Boys who beat them all by a long shot! You guys are amazing.
I called in about 30 minutes ago after my tire became flat and they told me to come in they can put on my spare tire for free. After waiting ten minutes they came to the counter only to tell me they need to charge me ten dollars to put a spare on...way to show loyalty to people who have been coming to this exact location for over 5 years...safe to say they lost my business and anyone else I know. Good job Pep Boys! This is 2017 not 1970...you are responsible for your actions..
Picked up oil and filter for another vehicle also the clerk was efficient and quick.
Dropped the car off at 10am and was told they wouldn’t get to it until 2pm. Received a call at 11:45am that it was done and ready to be picked up. Fast and excellent service! I can feel the difference in the way it’s driving.
Went in because my brake light was out. The service manager, Brett, was so helpful and put the new light in and did not charge me any labor charge... and put my winshield fluid in as well. This is not the first time I’ve had a great experience here. They truly care about their customers. Big 5 stars for them.. and Brett should be promoted!!

Not only did they have the part, but the gentleman working the front desk, showed me how to install it. Saved me at least $100 and helped me fix it in 10 minutes. DISHONEST. They refused to change the oil of my car (conventional oil) affirming that my car only takes synthetic oil (which of course it was more expensive). The owners manual says that even though 0W-20 oil is recommended, “SAE 5W-30 conventional petroleum based oil may be used and meet all specifications and requirements necessary to maintain the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.” This was for a Nissan Rogue 2015. Got the oil changes in the dealership with conventional oil! For reference, I was the customer with appointment at 6:30pm, September 26, 2019.
Came in asking if there was anything I could do for a trunk lock that refused to turn. An amazing employee named Ricardo went out of his way to try multiple different solutions for us like lubricating the lock and making a key for us all for free. Then helped us with what to do next and how to replace said trunk lock. Honestly if I went to the dealership to get it replaced it would be probably around 300-400 dollars. So thank you pepboys for your help specifically Ricardo!

I went in because my car had a misfire and needed new spark plugs put in and a tune-up. Pep Boys did a great job, same day service, fantastic pricing and a quick diagnostic, excellent mechanic!!!! I couldnt ask for more! Thank you Klaus!

Was having issues with my fuel regulator, causing my car to stall or not start at all. I barely made it to the shop as Ive been told they offer free use of their scanner. Couldnt get a reading off my car so I left it overnight. Today I was informed of the issue and they were very professional with work and customer service and straight to the problem. Completely hassle-free; the worse part of this experience was being placed on hold over the phone, which was no longer than 5 minutes. I would definitely recommend their services and will continue to do business with them in the future.

I had at 8 am appointment on Sept. 2, another customer came after me and the attendant took her car first! When I told the guy, he did not explain why. I went there to have my sons car battery replaced on an acura. Not only did it take 4 times longer than it should have .they did it incorrectly. did not seat the battery cables properly. and found all of this out later on 2 days later when we had make further repairs somewhere else. There is no chance I ever return

Came in on a Saturday afternoon for a engine light check. The manager assured me that they could test my July 1995 Nissan Maxima. The manager recommended I bring it in Sunday morning before 9am. After waiting an hour for a test the service tech. Told me that they cant test cars that are 1995 and older. I highly recommend you DO NOT service your car there.
I stop by this place trying to get something that can taking care of my car paint.We were three customers me been the only woman and probably four men working at the store surprisingly every single person working at the store asked the men if they needed some help, completely ignoring me the whole time.Awful customer service,this company should provide more customer service training at they facilities so they can teach your men employees how to treat customers equally.I wouldnt give them not even one start but this app dont allow that.

I would give it less stars if I could! EVERY single time I walk in this store, the Mexican guy on the automotive/ garage side of the desk is always such a pric(k); he rolls his eyes even before I get to the counter, he’s curt, doesn’t make eye contact, and is ALWAYS “too busy” to do something trivial (like rotate the tires or perform an oil change). If one of his cohorts is up there with him, he instigated the b.s and proceeds to snicker away like a 7th grader behind the teacher’s back or something— GROW UP! He’s a manager or assistant manager there; I’m calling corporate tomorrow to get his behind out of there ASAP. Note to the owner, with all do respect, this isn’t the FIRST time people have complained about this dude; all of this apologizing on google seems pointless, when you just keep this guy employed, he is in there every time I come in there (I go in there at least more than a few times a month, from buying upholstery sponges to buying fuel injector cleaner). If you really want to make an impact, start kicking those undesirables to the curb!
Thanks for the 10$ discount without asking for BUT While making the appointment I had asked for things which will be done as part of inspection with oil change. I was told it will be full inspection covering wheel alignment check, brake inspection etc. I waited for 1 hour and what inspection report I got wasnt as expected at all. It was way better done by Firestone guyz earlier. Also lucky I popped up the hood before driving off and found one of the oil cap was lying open, clearly not so careful these guys are. NEVER EVER going back to pepboys.
Took a 1994 Toyota Celica that needed rear drum brakes replaced. I spent several hours on them previously and could not get the drums off. They spent over 3 hours on it, fixed it perfectly, and charged me $100 for the service. I would definitely recommend Marcos and his crew anytime.

Fixed a flat on a Sunday with best pricing I could find in Simi Valley!! We went in at 9:00 we were out by 9:30! The best part is they were open on Sunday.

They did work WITHOUT my authorization...without even giving me an estimate! After they said it was fixed I drove the car home and it broke down. To be fair, they did refund some of my money but the overall experience was horrible.

Went in to get some engine oil and found prices are pretty high.
I ordered a part with them and paid for it. The told me they had the part in stock at another location and that is should take 5 days to come in. Two weeks gone by and they still did not have my part nor had any idea when it would come in. To find out they never actually had my part. The manager did not care and made no attempt to try to find my part. I will never come back nor recommend them to anyone.
