Hi,I wanted to share my fantastic experience having my rare guitar repaired at Silesia Guitars.  When I noticed the bridge on my Larrivee L-10 lifting, I wrote to the manufacturer and asked if there was anybody in the Seattle area that could do the job.  They suggested I take the guitar to Silesia Guitars.I met Dagna, owener/luthier and she told me the guitar would need just a reset of the bridge and recommended a setup and installation of a bone nut.  3 weeks later, I picked up the guitar and I was extremely delighted at the quality of the work.  Dagna had repaired the lifting bridge and the setup had totally improved the sound and playability of the guitar.  The cost was very reasonable and well work it!If your guitar of bass needs any work, I strongly recommend visiting Silesia Guitars, you’ll be amazed!

Silesia Guitars performed a fretless conversion of my Godin A5 bass. I couldnt be more pleased with the results and wont hesitate to take my other guitars there for some much needed TLC. Highly recommended!

Great experience. I got a new nut and some fret levelling done on a Strat. The work was done very well, and the setup was done exactly as we discussed. The guitar was ready for pickup at the time when I was told it would be. Interactions with Dagna were pleasant and professional. My previous local luthier went out of business, but it seems like Ive found my new luthier. Ill definitely be back.

I took my 1976 LP Custom in for the works. New pick-ups, new bridge, fret-leveling, new pots, etc. My guitar came back in perfect working order. Dagna and her team do great work. Dagna was upfront with the pricing and the time it would take to get done. I will be back again.

Took in my old Washburn 6-string bass, they did a great job cleaning it up and fixing the action (which involved shimming the neck). Not very fast or cheap, but excellent quality, and Im loving playing my like-new bass.

I cannot rave enough at the work Silesia did on my acoustic guitar. I was having a buzzing issue so I decided to bring it to them. They thoroughly inspected it on the spot, diagnosed some issues, recommended some upgrades, and went to work on it. When I got it back, the buzzing sound was not only fixed, it sounded and felt a million times better than ever before. Its like a better guitar! I was amazed! Another compliment I need to give is that they have been awesome at the quarantine restrictions, meeting us at the door of the shop instead of risking covid. Honestly, the only small complaint I had is that it took longer than they estimated and I had to call to get an update. But with the pandemic, its odd times and were all effected in one way or the other. I will definitely use their services again. Thanks, Silesia!

I stopped into Silesia Guitars today and Cody really took care of me on my Fender Aerodyne Jazz bass. I was getting no signal output due to a loose wire. Cody patched me up perfectly and also replaced the insert connector for a more robust one at a fair price. Vanna is back in business! Thank you Silesia Guitars!

Dagna is simply the best. Not only is Silesia so close to where I live, the service is amazing. I took my Yamaha APX 600 acoustic electric there to get a long overdue setup. While yes, it did take a few weeks (I dont blame Dagna at all - shes very busy) it was worth it in the end. Not only was it set up perfectly (the action was really high, and she fixed that), my guitar came back clean and shiny, with new strings and in - tune (I am very picky about tuning).Im a pretty young player, and when I got my guitar back, she was asking questions about my musical background, and told me that it was cool that I was playing guitar. Thanks so much Dagna! Keep doing what youre doing - youre awesome at it!

Over the past decade, I’ve taken many acoustic and electric guitars to Silesia Guitars, and have always been very pleased with Dagna’s skilled work on them. I always get a professional setup on any new guitar (used or new), where she adjusts the neck, levels and polishes (and occasionally replaces) frets, lowers the action to my preferred string height, and sets the correct intonation. However, she’s also done many other fixes and improvements, including moving and rewiring switches, knobs and electronics, installing new pickups and tuners, and troubleshooting various minor problems. Recently she created and installed beautiful custom pick guards for my two electric 12 strings, which look amazing! She also specializes in doing gorgeous custom inlay work. Highly recommended.

I took an old Epiphone my dad gave me 30 years ago. It was an inexpensive guitar, but it has sentimental value. It had developed a buzz on the top string at the first fret. The nut had been cut too low. I picked it up a week later and it sounds soooo much better! They fixed the problem, put a new set of strings on and set it up better for $75. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. FYI they prefer cash payments, but also take cards.

So over the summer I purchased a used telecaster. The previous owner had a brass nut on the guitar. I personally put a new one in the guitar myself. Well needless to say I don’t know what I was thinking. So brought the guitar in by word of mouth from a coworker. I got a set up/replaced guitar nut. Only word that describes the tone of the guitar after it was worked on is “Balance.” My guitar has been reborn. Thanks to this guitar shop. Hats off. Action is perfect. Money well spent.

I brought in a 1975 LP lawsuit, I didnt think it would ever play right but wanted to see what they could do. A new bone nut and a proper setup, and it plays amazingly, I enjoy playing this guitar now, as much as my real Gibsons!

Dagna first worked on my guitars in 2005 when she worked at Parsons downtown location. Her work was great then as it is now. Im happy to have a guitar repair expert so close to home! Especially when my cats chew through some pickup wiring :-D

Called up to avoid the Amazon. They were closed but agreed to stay open an extra 10 minutes so I could drive over there. Picked me up some guitar strings. then she noticed one of the strings on the guitar had a big kink on it so recommended I replace that. (Free eval!) Also put on a missing screw on one of the twisty knob things, pegs? Not a word. Just did. We’re done. awesome!

Was hard for me to find someone to trust with my guitar. Luckily “Dagna” is the one! I could sense immediately her integrity and concern for doing the job right. Would and Will recommend her to all my friends and anyone who reads this. When I got my guitar back it was like my fingers had new life and the sound was better than I’d ever heard.Thank You Sooo Much!!!

-The work I originally came to get was done well (routing of top tremolo cavity). Cleanly routed and painted over.-They were quite pushy for me to get a setup and if I didnt get one, they would have given me the guitar back in parts. Because I wanted the guitar to be playable out of the shop, I opted for it. The setup itself was ok but I dont think it was worth $80.-They asked for 2 weeks for the service which I thought was more than enough. And on the day it was due, I drive up 30 minutes to the shop only to hear that they need 1-2 more days and that they were about to call me to tell me. The next day, I decide to just wait until I got their call to drive up. They call me and tell me its ready and I start driving about an hour later only to find out they called me an hour before they close, which happens to be 12pm on Saturdays. So Im now too late to pick up the guitar, and the next day they are open is on Wednesday. Mind you, they dont apologize at all for being late/me driving up.-Apparently when they put the pickguard back onto the guitar, the pickup selector switch doesnt work anymore and they take no responsibility for it since no service was done on it. So the guitar gets a $180 service but suddenly the switch doesnt work, and needs to be taken apart again after getting a setup, and they wont fix it without more charging. Very dissatisfied and I was honestly just glad to get my guitar back only to fix the rest myself.

This is a 1 person operation. She seems to be technically skilled in guitar modification especially in making inlays and bone nuts. I asked her to fix the short in my bass circuitry where my passive worked fine but the active did not. Her first step was to replace the jack which makes no sense since it worked fine in Passive mode. She eventually found the short elsewhere in circuitry. I asked her to make me a bone nut which turned out very nice and demonstrated her skill. The final request I had was to do a pro set up. I gave her my bass with low action and some intonation issues. I asked her to set the action as tight possible. When I got it back the intonation was still off and the neck had noticeably more curve making the upper actions higher. I can fix it myself but for $70 for the set up to be better. The worst part of the interaction was the customer service. It started from the drop off. My wife arrived during posted work hours at the time we said we would earlier that day. She had left for lunch and said she would not be back for over an hour. She was argumentative when I asked her why she replaced the jack. She did not call when it was finished. I called and stopped by during business hours 6 times before I was able to catch her actually there during the posted work hours. When I finally was able to get my bass back, she offered no apologies.I assume she is better with acoustic guitars but it is clear bass is not a strong point for her. For myself though, I will not take anything there again simply because the customer service was so terrible.
