Five star all around for their staff! From Awa The owner, Zanab, The other hairstylist whose name I did not get. They are so friendly here its worth the drive for me. I love that they answer their phones, they are super professional and timely. They dont book multiple appointments at once. Best of all she is fast! I could not believe how fast Awa finished my sewin. I was planning on spending half the day there and in an hour and a half she was done. Its a bummer they dont offer hair maintenance, but their prices are reasonable enough to make it worth it. Thank you so much!

I’ve been doing business with Awa for a few years now. I’ve had Braiding and weaves installs by her team. Her work is amazing! They have good quality with reasonable prices, which is hard to find in Washington. I almost feel like family now…lol. I definitely recommend this establishment.

Awas is a great place for African American hair. I am a white woman with African kids, and they have always been very kind to me and helped me with buying products, understanding how to install beads onto braids, everything. Their braiding prices are reasonable and they can usually get you in in a reasonable time.

I do not recommend this solan. The staff seems friendly, however their skill level seems to be very limited when it comes to doing most hair styles

Over priced for “OK” work. Got a sew in they put cover up or something on my hairline so it looks natural smh that sew in looked at hot mess it looked like they just slapped a wig on my head.

I came there a couple days ago and bought a wig and asked for it to be applied to my head. I regretted the wig I bought so thats my fault. When I walked in and called the day before the wig was applied I told the store owner it would be my first time getting a wig on my hair. I ended up taking the wig off the next day after it was applied because I wasnt happy with it. When I took my braids out I realized that she chopped my hair a couple inches and didnt inform me that she was going to do that. I barely had alot of hair as is and am completely upset that I wasnt made aware that she had to cut my hair. The price and the selection they have is amazing. But I really wish she wouldve told me she was going to cut my hair.

Awa is so sweet and helpful, and the staff was very kind. I needed a wig and I was able to try them on before buying. I was even given help getting everything on and brushed nicely. Awa trimmed the lace on my wig (major anxiety relief) and I was out the door with two excellent price/quality wigs!

Unprofessional. I called to make a hair appointment and text to confirm the appointment. The lady wasn’t there on arrival and then accused me of not responding to her text. There is one thing to be unprofessional, but to accuse a customer of lying when you are in the wrong, is unacceptable. No accountability and no apology.

From the moment I walked in the girls were friendly and helpful, I asked a question and ended up with a head full of long twists on my super short hair!! Aiesha was fabulous, she listened to every detail and surpassed my hope and expectation for the end result of my hair. The store is unique and has such a great variety of wigs, hair, and things that sparkle!! Definitely going back, love my hair and my whole experience there!! A fantastic store with an awesome owner. Shes so helpful ever time we come here, and the prices are very reasonable, in spite of them being the only option for the products in the area. I think weve found what we were looking for 9/10 trips (which is really impressive, if youve ever shopped for hair products for women). Plus, its always awesome to support small businesses.

Awa is quick and professional in removing and replacing weaves. Every time I have my hair done I get compliments. People dont know that I have a weave. I highly recommend her services!

It look like they had a large variety of hair things I didnt really get a chance to look because when I walked in the lady ask me what I was looking for and directed me to the area where she stood kind of impatiently waiting for me to choose as they were closing soon. Then she was very nice and happy as I was walking out the door. I understand wanting to get off work but they werent closed yet I just didnt want to feel or be mean to feel like Im in the way. Im going to try again and look hopefully I will get to actually look without feeling the need to hurry and get out. But I do like the selections they have that I was able to glance at. I will leave a review after I do.

These ladies are so sweet and friendly! This was my first time having my hair done here and I was very pleased! At times, there were three ladies all at once working on my head. We all chatted and laughed; I enjoyed myself. I will be back and Ill also be passing the word around about where to go for their hair care needs!

Ive purchased hair before from Awas and it lasted awhile. I went in the beginning of December looking for hair and pricing installs. They were friendly through the whole process and booked me an appointment. My install has lasted this whole time and it looks just like my hair.
