One of my favorite places in Shawnee.Definitely favorite coffee shop. From their beginning to where they are now, it’s always been a solid shop.Must try drinks: What the FrapFavorites: Dirty Chai, Honey Latte with Oat milk (Iced or hot)Great pastry’s as well!

Its what it looks like. Another downtown place for great coffee ☕ with good friendly service. They treated me right and although the area wasnt Disneyland, this place stood out. Give them a try if you are in the area.

Coffee was great. There was flies inside the pastry display. Didnt get any after we pointed out the 7 flies inside and on the baked goods. It wasnt packed with customers but there wasnt anywhere to sit. We just got ours to go. Probably last time after the flies and comment from the employee when we mentioned the flys bombing the baked goods. Her what ever, nothing we can do about them comment shows me if they dont care about this what else do they not care about?

Excellent! Im not the normal demographic for The Gathering Place. Im older than the usual clientele, but they treat me the same. I got the pumpkin scone and chai latte today, and they were both phenomenal. ❤

The staff is always friendly and the drinks are always delicious! I love that they always have a new, creative drink to try too! The owners are so great and invested in our community and it truly shows when you walk into this place. It’s always full of people from all walks of life - families, college kids, business meetings, retired folks. This coffee shop is a place that everyone can enjoy!

This coffee shop is awesome. It is a nice, open space that encourages a good community. This is a hot spot for people in Shawnee from young to old, and everyone enjoys it. The owners are present and they care about each person who walks in, which makes the experience even better! They use Messenger Coffee from Kansas City, which is well know and well liked across the Midwest! Give this shop a visit!

The aesthetic and atmosphere at The Gathering Place are perfect for getting together with friends or studying! Theres a variety of tables, couches, and chairs, so you can always find the perfect spot for whatever youre there to do. And, importantly, the shop is spacious enough to allow distance between you and other customers. I wish I lived closer so that I could enjoy The Gathering Place more often!

I’m not a big coffee drinker. But this shop has drinks and baked goods I love. It’s the best meeting spot in Shawnee. The owners are great. And the chocolate chip cookies are the best. Highest recommendation.

Wonderful Main Street Classic Coffee Shop. Beautiful decor, Clean, and a relaxed environment. Wonderully done Mocha and a Coffee Cake. Pet Freindly and Glad we made an adventure here.

New ownership is creating a hospitable atmosphere, moving towards a clean and modern look, and have really done a lot of great work in the excellence of their product. Drinks are crafted to highest standards and baristas are really friendly.

Good place, Good times. I get the tea because caffeine makes me sad, the Teas are great. The Baristas will come and give me my drink if im busy doing work or meeting with someone which is very thoughtful! Great place to meet others who call Shawnee home.

Great place to gather, as the name implies. New owners are so friendly and welcoming and change to serving Messenger Coffee out of Kansas City proves these guys know what they are doing! Im a fan and a regular!

Delightful atmosphere coupled with delicious baked goods make this Main St. experience one you dont want to miss! The scones are a must have, warmed ever so slightly. You really cant go wrong with whatever you select.

I love it here! The coffee is never overly sweet. You can actually enjoy the flavors. Honey lavender is a personal fave. :)

This is easily my favorite place to work, read, and hang out with all my favorite people. They have worked so diligently to create a safe, warm and welcoming environment for all of their guests in the midst of pandemic and I am so grateful!

One of my favorite coffee shops I have ever been to. Not only is their coffee great, but the shop is beautiful, and the employees are always so friendly!

They don’t have coconut milk. If you’re unfortunate enough to be allergic to almonds, are lactose intolerant, and can’t do soy, you’re outta luck.Be careful when it’s raining. They don’t have a rug inside the door and I fell hard coming in from the rain. A week after I told them about my fall and they still don’t have rugs inside the front door.But, the servers are kind, the ambiance is pleasant, and they’re still open during the pandemic... so three stars.

Staff was friendly and helpful, making for a comfortable experience. Their maple spice lattes are the best i have ever tasted.

Cute place. Very cozy and inviting. Im a hot latte kind of girl so I ordered a caramel vanilla for me and a caramel vanilla blended latte for my daughter. My hot latte tasted weird, like an alcohol or sour aftertaste and smell, maybe it was just me. Her blended latte was delicious though and I hate cold coffee. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit.

LOVE this place. Great coffee, great people, great space to just be. Perfect place to get some work done, catch up with a friend, or just hang out. The thing I like best is the responsibility they take in sourcing what they offer. The attention to the details is what sets it apart. Ask about the local farm fresh milk or the apple farmer that makes the cider!

I daydream about this place. So very happy Shawnee has a place with this relaxed yet upbeat atmosphere. Ive never had a bad drink here and my friends and I find an excuse to make it over here. Good for a deep conversation or even animated hang-outs.

The staff are friendly and the coffee isnt bad but you dont really get your moneys worth size-wise. Their largest to-go drink is only a 16 oz cup...Im all about shopping local and supporting local businesses but you get more bang for your buck at Starbucks. They also dont have a customer rewards program which is really a bummer.

The owners and employees are always friendly. They will kindly remake a drink you dont like, though I have never had a drink or any of their delicious treats that I didnt like! They are involved in many wonderful projects that benefit the community. Highly recommend!

I work down the street and always see crowds going in and out of there and today my coffee pot broke this morning so I figured Id give it a try. Now Im not a fancy coffee person and to be honest I dont really know what half of it tastes like, but the lady was super nice and asked me what flavors I like and then recommended some things. Awesome first experience. Tastes good enough that I might not even buy another coffee pot lol.

First time customer and was impressed by the place how peaceful feeling it was, the baristas were so very respectful as well as a daily customer I met which she was super sweet! Their Mocha Latte I ordered was amazing! Ill definitely be back to try something new again!

Beautiful place. Friendly, warm and welcoming staff. The latte I got was expertly crafted, rich and velvety. This is the best coffee and coffee shop in Oklahoma. They also have a yoga studio. I think I found a new home.

Love it here! Its a great place to go when I just need to get out with the kids. The drinks are great and they are happy to accommodate any requests to alter a drink to suit your taste!

Ive been to The Gathering Place four or five times now, and have enjoyed each visit! My favorite are their iced drinks, whether thats a vanilla latte or a lavender lemonade. The space is comfortable and perfect for studying on weekends!

Very cozy, clean place with a great atmosphere. Excellent place to catch up with people or do some studying. Coffee was very good and even the dessert was good... Sugar cookie was the way to go!

Do you LOVE coffee? Me too! Unfortunately, this isnt great coffee. It isnt good coffee, or even mediocre coffee. Its really bad hot beverage....my cappuccino tasted like hot Robitussin. Not only was it incredible untasty, my tiny cup was only half full, so I feel like I got ripped off. I couldnt have choked a whole 8 ounce cup of hot Robitussin down anyway, but I paid for it.

The most tasty LEMON BLUEBERRY donuts ever. Im a diabetic and they were not too sweet at all but oh so DELICIOUS ❗and their lattes are soooooo so DELICIOUS ❗

This place is the coffeeshop that Shawnee had been dreaming of. Its the place to go and just drown yourself in coffee. Also, its Topeca roasters; look it up, its the best. The asthetic is ideal. They are marketing themselves in every perfect way. Its a three in one business (yoga, coffeeshop, bakery). Couches, tabletop seating, kids welcome. Outdoor seating right on Main Street. If the rest of Main Street follows the leadership of this business, downtown Shawnee has the potential to be one of the coolest places ever.

Wandered around Shawnee and came across this swank with a touch of quaintness coffee shop. Met one of the owners next door at the plant store, yes coffee and plants, what gets better. Tried their What the Frappe and throughly enjoyed!
