No open registers with cashiers. All the self checkout full. Long lines waiting. Instead of so many unmanned registers why not get rid of them and add more self checkout? So finally our time and we had alcohol so we just knew wed have an issue. Scan it and asks for assistance. We ask the cashier and she doesnt look up from her phone. The people next to us say good luck. So my friend gets her attention and she comes over. But she cant seem to figure it out. So she looks for another employee and they cant figure it out. So they think the machine might not be working. So we have to wait for people to leave one and then switch machines. After about 10 minutes we finally start walking towards door. Then the little door guy who watched the checkout area most the time we were waiting wants us to let him check our recite. Thats a no dude we wasted enough time in your store walked around him and left.
I have had to start driving to Shakopee if I want to get anything AT ALL on my shopping list! Eden Prairie just cannot seem to get their act together and keep things stocked! The workers at the Shakopee Wal-Mart are usually ALL VERY FRIENDLY and helpful!!
It use to love shopping there.. BUT now they only have 1 lane open in the morning!! 🙄 I no longer will be doing all my grocery shopping at Walmart. Only to pick up a few things I move and Im over to Cub Foods.
I signed up for Walmart Plus about a month ago. I have placed five orders now for delivery. All five orders have had errors including three orders that were not delivered at all and had to be canceled and reordered wasting valuable time I dont have. You would think Walmart would have tested Walmart plus before rolling it out. This is the biggest failure I have ever seen of any business. Why would you schedule delivery times if youre not going to be able to deliver on time or at all for that matter. Im now waiting for my 6th order to show up it is now 35 minutes late with no contact from Walmart at all. Failure failure failure
Please explain to me why there is only one cash register open that is not a self check out? Then also explain to me why I was in this line for 25 minutes to finally be able to put my things up on the register just in time for a manager to come by and out a lane closed sign up without saying a word to any of the people in line including me?!!!
I told myself I would never go back, but I did last night and had a cart load. Then I saw it was only self checkout. I asked someone to open up and here comes a wonderful young man. His name was Mike!!!! Very good!!! His boss was Karen. These two deserve a pat on the back. Very good people!!!!!! I will come back and hope I have Mike as my checkout guy!!!!!
They never have enough cashier and the lines are always long even self check out and alot of people do not care for it.
The staff here is usually less than helpful and the store needs a deep clean. The prices are good of course
Standard Walmart experience. Most employees are less than friendly, under trained, and annoyed by your existence or your asking for help. The one positive was I did see 1 check out land open.
Walmart is great! I like the people that work there always helpful. A lot of stuff to choose from and great prices always happy to come back and shop.
Ok. It was fun finds with roll over pricing. It kept rolling back. I wonder if they ever reach the point and pay us...
Pharmacy was close to right time for my pick up. Only had to wait a short time from estimated pick up time. Price was very good, less then expected.
Not like the typical Walmart. Not dirty but not clean. Not enough open registers, no associates to be found for help. No ice at all. Rather scary in the daylight so not a place I would feel comfortable in at night.
Deli closed on Saturday at 1. I was told the person scheduled didnt show up but there were people there, just no one to help. They need to pay better to get reliable workers.
Always enjoy being followed around a store by their loss prevention people like Im some kind of criminal. They were not very inconspicuous, and I seriously felt like I was being singled out. I paid for my items, and left. 1st and last time going there.
Very low stock. 2 checkout lanes open. Few carts when we first walked in. Not a good experience this time around. Better off paying a little more and going down the road to Target.
Great store of the players huge to get lots of stuff everything in need sometimes it just really terrible customer service late at night I was literally think trying to cash a cheque for 14 bucks in 1 for 27 and guys like well the only lane thats open this 15 and there was on the other side of the store and guess what there wasnt anybody working the single register. And the comeback to see him standing there with his face on his closed fist about default sleep like you couldnt come cash my track my check yet Lazy bastard🤣🤣🤣
Awesome I experienced very good customer service and well return and well recommend a friend to Walmart
The lube express men were polite, professional and friendly. They were able to get to my car quickly. We always use Walmart for oil changes and have never been disappointed.
I usually do pick up at this location i love the convenience of the service and the staff they have are friendly and helpful although my one gripe is sometimes smaller items are missing from my pick up.
Nice, clean, helpful staff best of all its got a FedEx drop off site inside.
I tried to return a computer monitor at the customer service return area. It had only been 20 days and the receipt said electronics could be returned for 30 days after purchase right on the bottom of the reciept. I pointed this out to the person in charge, and he said that the computer monitor could only be returned within 15 days and declined to give me a refund on the purchase. I stood in line for 45 minutes to get this answer. The next day I took the monitor to the electronics department, asked if I could return that monitor seeing as if it was only 21 days since I purchased it. He said sure and I received my refund and was out of there in less than 10 minutes. This purchase was made at the Shakopee MN. store.
I’m not sure if it’s just this store or all Walmarts, but there are serious supply chain issues as a handful of things on my list are out of stock every time I visit…it’s always something different. Also, stuff here is frequently not on the right shelf and price tags don’t match the item. Lastly, open more self checkout lines. There is always a line and probably 30+ unused lanes in the middle that could be put to better and more efficient use.
Walmart is Walmart but the service/help is always/consistently a 1 star unfortunately. It just doesnt exist really. If you are okay with being on your own if you cant find something then this is the place for you. I dont expect a smile or a genuine hello from an employee and that is okay. Understand that cashier count will always be 1/4 of the actual need. Even self checkout has a oddly long line as well. I know what Im getting into when I enter the store, so if you can let all that go things seem to be a bit cheaper than other places.
I was on hold for an hour. Half trying to get ahold of grocery pickup, and half waiting for a manager because pick up never answered. I understand the world is understaffed right now, and I would even expect some wait, but an hour is completely ridiculous. Somebody should be paying attention.
Hands down this is the worst Walmart around. Not because of the store itself but because of the employees. Not once have I ever been treated with respect here. The most recent visit I needed to return a few things but apparently the customer service desk was closed on a week night at 7:15pm due to the “registers acting up.” I would say a lot more because I know most customers feel the same about this place. They make their own rules here and such so many other things that the store manager needs to be more involved with
Would be cool if youd have more than 1 lane open instead of having employees standing in the check out area talking
Usually my husbands gets the groceries and I shop for everything else. All the employees were friendly and helpful. The store was clean and organized well.
Apples varieties are great! Better than in local orchard
Shakopee Walmart isnt my favorite, but it is a nice store. They just usually dont have everything I go in for on their shelves 🙄
Honestly I’ve had a few issues with the pick up service they provide. Didn’t get a lot of the things I had purchased although I was definitely charged for it. And today I went to pick up my groceries and yes I was running 5 minutes late due to just moving to the area and got lost. I get there and they sent my groceries with someone else. They proceeded to ask my what I wanted to do. Stating it would only be 15 minutes to gather what I had asked for. Instead they were trying to contact then door day service because that’s who had my groceries. after re-assuring me it’ll be 15 minutes to run and grab the items. About an hour later they tell me that they weren’t able to contact doordash. What frustrates me the most was why tell me your gonna grab them if that wasn’t the case. I will never be returning there again !!
On a Sunday afternoon, the womans bathroom was a garbage pit. There was toilet paper all over the floor, a toilet was backed up, the handicapped stall was locked up with a plastic bag, assumingly out of order. The paper towel dispenser was out. In addition, there was literally not one single cashier on duty. The only way to check out was self check. The lines were super long because of it. This place is deteriorating rapidly.
Doesnt always have yugioh but when they do its juicy
Great selection. Good prices. This Wal-Mart is cleaner than most.
I love Walmart supercenter you can find everything
No shoes No shirt no service more like clothing optional. There was a homeless man wearing nothing asking for a ride home. I could not even check out because EVERY STAFF MEMBER CLAIMED TO BE ON BREAK. If i could rate 0 stars i would. Worst Walmart yet.
Always better value if you stop yourself staring at the freak shows of human depravity. I mean its pretty bad. I take a deep breath and repeat dont look, dont have that look
I cant stand Walmart, theres absolutely no one to help with questions. Also they never have more than 2 check out stations open. I cant tell you how many times I left my items in a cart and left due to excessive lines. Ill never go to this store again.
Pretty Walmarty. I walked in and was like yep, Walmart is this if you wanna go to a Walmart go here, you wont be disappointed.
Their shelves are rarely stocked. For several weeks now, they have been out of several items on GM side as well as grocery which has been frustrating.. They need to hold accountable their Department and zone managers ensuring their areas are reordering product, then actually putting out all the freight and not keep it binned up in IMS.
Isse was amazing! He was patient and helpful. Checkout lines were extremely long and the store was slow to add additional checkout lines. Selection of produce was okay, but they were out of some staples and the arrangement was odd (tomatoes were sporadically interspersed throughout the other produce, for example). All in all probably what you expect going to Walmart. Didnt blow you away but was okay.
Online shopping with pickup is so quick and efficient. Only drawback is if I want to pick up my wifes orders or vice versa, we have to bring each others phones or log into the app with each others credentials. Even though it says you can call, when I did that I was scolded because they are too busy to be answering the phone.
Dont bother shelves are always empty, especially in frozen area. Incompetent staff. Why have 20 register and only have 1 going. Why have everyone self checkout? There could be 15-20 deep in line and do they open a register, NO!! The only place where I can walk in grab 1 thing and wait in line for 30 minutes to check out
I picked up a large grocery order. It was put in my trunk efficiently & quickly. Order was for 2-3p.m. pickup. I arrived at 1:57, informed them I was there & drove away at 2:03.
Poorly ran store. There are about 3 people that show up to work there and they hide when the store opens. No one has keys to open anything in the cases and they have one cashier working everyday so when people check out they are forced to spend 30 minutes in line(self checkout only at times). Customer service is a Jerry springer show and unsafe for the public and kids. FIX YOUR STORE PLEASE..
My favorite Walmart. Even though its not the closest. It has great electronics Dept. Self checkout is almost always fast.
Wal mart has always been our place to get what we need from auto to clothe and food we love this stores
Needed a pick up a shirt my other one had gotten dirty got in and out in 20 minutes and under $20. Only disappointing thing was the lines were very long for checkout. Spent about 15 of those minutes in line.
Shakopee Walmart is the most disorganized place Ive ever had the displeasure of shopping. As a secret-shopper, I work late sometimes and its extremely unnerving to have [the same]people follow you around the store because they think you are a shoplifter. Unfrickinbelievable.
Very clean store found everything I needed for a great price.
Great Walmart but they need to hire more workers or something because it seems most of their registers are always closed which is so annoying, waiting in line when theres so many registers that could be used
Store is so disorganized. I have to walk around obstacles to get across the isles. Prices are reasonable but not every thing is available. There were also many mismatched items on the shelves.
In out .Bought some T shirts. Good price.
CleanPersonnel very helpfulGood prices
It was good they had low stock on some items however. I also saw my ugly friend
Bought a tv and was told it was 90 day return policy, 60 days on tv. Came to return it 45 days later and customer service manager was just being rude, asked for a manager and she called Karen and then Ann. Karen left right away and didn’t want to deal with it, Ann was rude and unprofessional, said we change rules whenever and whatever we want, it’s up to the consumer to be educated on changes. They went to the extent to flip their name tags over and not speak at all once the camera came out.. be careful where you bring your business, big business don’t give a damn about your business
Hate walmart stores. I dread walking into any one except New Ulm MN. That store is awesome. Its NEVER busy. My sanity is worth the extra 30 minute drive.
Clean store .... Tons of inventory!! Way better than the Fridley location by my house...
The Shakopee Walmart is probably not my first pick of Walmart’s. It is dirty (the floors look as though they haven’t been wash in over a month) and there is clutter all over. Carts filled with merchandise that was being removed from shelves, dead plants, expired (I assume/hope) groceries. Staff there seems very in happy and not willing to help, just there for the check.I would recommend driving to the Apple Valley Walmart for a much better experience!
They stay stocked and the staff are very knowledgeable of the products.
Most of the employees dont know where anything is, your better of not asking and just find what you need yourself.
I love this Walmart favorite place to shop
Bakery goods were actually we stocked and looked delicious. Other isles tend to be picked over and disheveled by the end of the day. Price on Great Value bacon was very good.
Walmart is simply the store i go to because of the low prices. They have one set of doors locked/shut at 8pm, why? Then there were hardly any carts to use, were they all at the other door which we were not allowed to use? There was only ONE cashier working so you had to use self checkout if you did not want to wait forever to leave. Thankfully there was a self check out option. The aisles are cluttered with stuff. If they dont want to staff the store with cashiers dont order so much stuff that clutter the aisles.
Its Walmart, they have great deals and theyre open later which helps too
Its a Walmart. It does the job Conveniently located.
A very RUDE Employee. Very nasty getting very personal.....not a Friend a Stranger...appalling
I dont like that they have less cashiers. I will not put people out of work. I dont do self check outs!
I absolutely hate coming here to shop, but sometimes it’s a necessity to have to shop here
Found lots of good stuff and it was convenient.
The service isnt great as many of the employees do not speak English. The pharmacy was terribly rude and I switched to another. Good variety and prices though.
This is the most unprofessional organized store I have done business with
7:30 PM on a Monday night and not one of the 20 or so cashier lanes is occupied by a person with the training to be a cashier. So were all left to use the 15 or so self-checkout machines that are in working order. I always use them but some people would rather not and thats why theres 20 lanesl that are supposed to be for those people to do their transactions. But nobodys their to do that job at 7:30 pm on a weeknight so were in 2 little single file lines on opposite ends of these 20 lanes waiting to scan our own stuff and hope we dont die before we can because that would suck to die in line to pay at a Walmart.
Two checkout lines were open on a busy Saturday. I waited more than 15mins to checkout. This is one of the worst managed chains and stores I know. Avoid at busy times.
It was a great day every thing was good.
This is one of the better Walmarts that Ive been to. I actually found somebody to help me find things.
Dont get me wrong I love this location its very convenient where I live. everything here is organized but only issue is with one of employees was watching me all the time when purchasing items like some sort of thief Ive had never had any problems with this Walmart is why I rate it so high but with only one employee kind of not making feel comfortable shopping here sometime. but will not put anyones job in jeopardy
The HR or training DEPT need to show a movie of Mr. Walton (the founder) because he’s the embodiment of customer service. The employees at the Service Desk (Returns/Money Gram) don’t understand customer service at all. I had the worst experience this morning w/Carmen and Amanda appeared to be her superior. Nonetheless, Carmen is a Christian from the Philippines and she doesn’t understand the concept of treat others like you wanted to be treated. She’s violated the social distancing rule by helping another customer while she made me filled out the money gram paperwork that I’ve never had to do w/all other experiences.
Good place to do your oil change
Walmart is supposed to be the same layout no matter which store you visit. This one wasnt, it was very confusing. We even had to ask for assistance finding the front of the store.
This store has a nice selection of products. It was clean. I didnt give 5 stars because not one associate said hello to me or asked if I needed help.
Item that is in stock online cannot be found in the store, even with a managers help. Get home and it still shows as in stock. Fourth time this has happened.
Very cluttered and dirty store!! Went to purchase a laptop, i went to electronics and waited 10 minutes before i went to find an employee(strange to leave most expensive area unattended) finally found an employee after several minutes! They went to check on the stock of laptops and upon return was informed they were out!! The site says 6 in stock and offers to let do in store pickup, apparently she said they add stock that is coming on truck into inventory!! Poorly run overall wouldnt recommend this store!!
I would say that Walmart in Shakopee needs improvement; staff wise and service.
It has good help and the prices are very good.
Need to have more checkouts. Keep shelves stocked.
Its Walmart does it get any better than a two star rating?
Absolutely horrible customer service. Every person I asked for help seemed just annoyed and bothered by the fact that I’m asking for assistance. While I was asking one employee at customer service a question another employee comes up and just interrupts me .
It looks like Black Friday was this morning. The store is a mess and half the shelves are out of product.
They need more help shelves very bear
Out if all Walmarts Ive been to, Shakopee one is the best overall, except they closed money services there, and Eden Prairie location is closed too.
Im sorry but you guys need more workers, your company is declining and I dont see the point in staying in open as a store if you have no workers in electronics. I stood there with my significant other for 40 minutes just waiting to get a game, I actually went to ask a worker if they could get someone down there but they didnt speak English very well and just said oh Im sorry, so I waited some more until finnaly a woman walked by and said, and we need someone down here, and so someone came walking down and then said just a minute and didnt come back for 10 minutes. Finnaly we get to check out and the machine starts to have problems and extended our stay some more. A total of 1 1/2 hours. For 1 game. And milk.
Store is a mess, the people shopping are rude, the employees are nowhere to be found, the order pickup process is slow... No reason to ever go there unless you have literally no other option.
I actually like this Walmart location and usually find almost everything I need. I just noticed how shorthanded they can be many times and when calling for help one time. Nobody even answered or came over. Maybe thats why theyre just hiring almost anybody nowadays. I still appreciate them doing their best to keep everything stocked though. It would also help if they can get most of their stocking done overnight so theyre not in the customers way during the day.
OMG, invest in some more cashiers please! It took me 30 minutes to reach the register!
Found what I needed. Big store. Employee working the video game section was really nice!
Shelves are still unfilled with products blocking isles.
There was only 2 self serve registers open and two lines a mile long workers everywhere but noone to help customers ..
