Workers seem nice, but this store literally has nothing good. Im pretty sure the workers get first pick on every clothing shipment, too. The selection is very limited, old, and the prices are expensive for a Goodwill. If you can, just go somewhere else.

Wow! The most unfriendly, unhelpful people working here, theyd just as well not have you come in at all. Well, News Flash-you have a Job because people come in and buy things! Its very small, mostly clothes, which seems unnecessary since there are at least two other thrift or vintage clothing stores right next to this store. And their prices are way high.Dont waste your time!If youre up for a 15 minute drive, The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Shoreline is really great, good prices, helpful friendly team, and they usually have 50% off everything in the store the last weekend of each month!

This goodwill is a bit different than the ones I have been to before. They have days where all of one colored tag is 1.79 or something along those lines. Id go every time and get something like a pan, french press, blender etc. I didnt really buy clothing, but GREAT to find stuff for the kitchen or to furnish on a whim.

Ca

Pretty good selection, clean. Organization is a little strange, seems to be organized with better quality items in some areas but it is inconsistent. Staff is helpful and you can try on clothes in the back. I know its for charity, but prices are pretty high, sometimes more expensive than what it would be new. I feel like they are trying to match prices of the nearby consignment shops who have a different model of buying clothes from customers.

Goodwill Seattle is so corrupt it’s unbelievable. The prices and selection here are ridiculous. They are praised for being non profit, but the people at the top know their workers are being harassed, and collect money and get a raise anyway. This store is no different. Picking donated clothing from the underprivileged and selling it just as high as curated vintage stores in the area is not helping the economy of our city. Goodwill is the next wal Mart masked under the umbrella of service “giving people jobs”. If you’re heard they’re a sham, you’re right. So much power at the top it’s disgusting.

A fantastic Goodwill where you can find a ton of great stuff that presumably has been left behind by UW students moving out of their apartments. I’ve found tons of great stuff ranging from electronics, to kitchenware, to Mariners sports paraphernalia.

Curated to the 5th degree. Don’t expect regular goodwill prices. Insider staff pick over everything and ship it out to sell it online. A good place to find gently used items I guess, but don’t expect this thrift store for bargains.

Review №27

Its a boutique style goodwill due to the limited square footage inside. This means many of their items are hand picked for higher quality or aimed toward college students since its on the Ave and the prices reflect that. Sometimes there are good finds, but it wont be as cheap as some other goodwill locations in the area.

Ma

The Goodwill U-District tends to have really nice clothes. I think it has something to do with all the students living there. It can get a little crowded at times - especially on the weekend. And it definitely lacks in the furniture department. But overall its a well run Goodwill with an EXCELLENT vintage section on the second floor.

I didnt do anything here other than drop off some donations. But the donation experience was very quick and easy. The donation bin is right inside the front door to your right. We just brought in our stuff, dropped it in the bin and they gave us a donation receipt. In and out. Great setup.

Really good selection of stuff. They need more dressing rooms -- they were full the entire time I was there (I was able to make it in once, but you can only bring 5 items in with you and I had more I wanted to try on) and I ended up trying on shirts over my own shirt because the dressing rooms had such long lines. The staff is friendly and the items they have for sale and the prices are great, though!

Ma
Review №31

Very convenient location, but its incredibly overpriced for a thrift store and will always be picked over due to its location. Staff seems nice enough and its clean but good luck finding a reason to buy anything that is left. More often than not its still worth your time to head to a further out location for not only better prices, but items you dont have to settle for.Note: if you have a large backpack they will ask you to take it off and they will hold it behind the counter, that doesnt negativly impact my rating but just a heads up

I’m sure that Good Will dies some good-somewhere. Their coorperate image suggests otherwise. I tried to donate items recently and was turned away because they were “not good enough”. Really? I’m supposed to donate new stuff? This is especially true of the Capitol Hill location. I’ve found more worthy-less picky places to donate.

Review №39

Do not waste your time here. They have complete junk compared to what they used to carry and prices are higher then in the dept stores. The management is horrendous, they do not bother actually talking to customers when you have a problem but call from the office upstairs, guess the long walk down the stairs is too much effort for a customer that is looking to drop a lot of money. This store has gone way down hill. They have lost a good repeat customer that spends a ton of money.

Go here if you wanna be harassed by some wannabe hipsters into giving up your bag. Not to mention the employees look like extras from orange is the new black. It has a good selection of decent clothing and the back has odds and ends of home and bath and such. Really small, tight aisles, a lady was walking right next to me and staring at me to move out of the way so she could look at something... Or she worked there and thought I was trying to steal a T-shir, and if thats the case then they need to hire new security.

Probally the smallest and most expensively priced good will I have ever been to. This goodwill gives you the impression that whoever it is that is marking the prices are not aware that majority of their inventory is donated. There is no reason to mark at retail prices, there are several neighboring thrift exchange stores that use the platos cloest business model that are much more accommodate in their pricing.

This Goodwill U District feels like a second home. The highlight of the store is definitely the staff. Employees are always quick to answer a question or show you a funny thing thats come in that day. Ive found a solid portion of my wardrobe at this Goodwill and at really reasonable prices. Some of my favorite finds come from the vintage section, which is very cheap compared to Red Light or other nearby vintage stores.I love shopping at Goodwill U District because the prices are consistently lower than Buffalo Exchange when many of the items are comparable. I have seen really high quality stuff like Chrome, Timbuk2, and Alchemy Goods bags for really cheap, and stuff from Lululemon, Free People, and Anthropologie regularly. I have also found awesome vintage Pyrex bowls and super super cheap art supplies. There are occasions where a price seems a bit off, but when youre pricing items from literally every other store that exists, I get that sometimes youll miss a stain or not be familiar enough with a brand to price it accurately. Thats when you ask a staff member and if they agree the price is a mistake, they will work with you.Their annual designer accessory sale is the main place Ive amassed my giant and unnecessary collection of vintage Dooney and Bourke and Coach purses. It happens every March and has some really cool stuff.Overall, a great store with great staff and amazing deals.

And a fractional cost compared to its ebay used sister-item. Amazing fun nice trendy cool people that dont mind helping or if they do, isure couldnt tell. I bought 2items yesterday and went back this morning to buy 2more. Treasures galore! !! Thank you Goodwill U-district.
