Nice, spacious store with two levels. They continue to carry media items such as music and movies, but only about half the floor space as even a couple years ago. Theyve also cut back on the amount of non-cafe seating. They removed the huge Nook section for more books, which is great. It is a huge store with a lot of books in stock, a great game area and regular in-store events.
Great beach with plenty of space and beautiful views. The only bummer is the rail road track that separates the rest of the park from the beach but if you can handle stairs this is a great place to spend the afternoon. Honestly the track makes it feel more isolated, calm and probably keeps the popularity of the park down which makes it a great place to be in Seattle. ❤️
So much bigger, than my local Barnes and Noble store. The staff was great, and I will definitely be visiting again!
I was looking for some business books and was having a hard time finding them so I asked a employee that was putting books away if she could help me. Jordan went above and beyond, I only had the name of the book and first name of the author but regardless she found all the books i was looking for and was very patient with me the whole time. Great attitude and customer service skills! Thank you Jordan!
Its very cool, relaxing and quiet book store Very good customer service.
This B&N is consistent with the others, so its what youd expect. Its clean, and they had the book we were looking for. We were bored and walked around for 30 minutes and enjoyed it.
It would have been great if the WEBSITE allowed to sort based on what is available in stock. I mean, physical copies. Perhaps that could be a feature to include within the website for better CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.
I love this place! The selection is amazing, and the elevator is accessible. I love reading at the cafe and getting to find new books.
They have everything that Ive ever looked for and more. Not a local mom and pop shop but I dont think small shops would carry the volume of books they have. The selection of books and the way they lay out their store is well thought out
Clean fresh decently position speakers werent affecting any book searching I really enjoyed that felt like a bookstore and not a restaurant like everywhere I shop Starbucks is clean everybody was nice lots of Barnes & Nobles workers to help very kind people fast no their staff know where everything is was very impressed please give everybody a five dollar raise immediately and keep them on staff
Last time I shopped for preschool age books you were the only branch that had them. I appreciate the kid section that we all helped out with for the younger children to learn to pick books based off the kid section in the mall which also was added due to the school age children in the area. I hope that the co striction and spider issue is over with as a medical professional it has been frustrating for professionals all over. I havent been able to return to my womens health care location as well after my car being stolen. But I appreciate you location my son likes choosing stories based off all of the class discussions remotely and using quiet voices in the kid section. His books were alot cleaner ordered from Barnes and noble!
A clean and quiet environment to relax and enjoy a good read or snack while shopping for holiday gifts.
So nice to still be able to enjoy a fully stocked brick & mortar store. If they dont have it, they can get it. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.
I went in for some books on coins and found those and plenty of other titles that i was interested in...
Great location with a lot of selection. They are very helpful with finding what you need or ordering it for you. Good games section as well, though my experience was that they werent really knowledgeable about recommending games.
Awesome place to hang out and look for a good book the staff are very friendly
Staff helped me locating a book I was looking for really quick.
Staff are amazing and so helpful. They have a great selection of books as well!
I love coming here. Staff is friendly and store is spacious and bright. I always walk out with finds I didnt anticipate.
Reader friendly atmosphere, clean and organized genre placement, nice coffee shop with great pastries
Super friendly helpful staff here, good collection on hand at all times
Great selection of books. Bigger than the one in Lynnwood. Only problem I had was finding someone to help me find a book. I had to go to the cashier on the bottom floor to call for help. The guy who came to help almost gave up looking for the book then he found another section where they had it.
Now one of my favorites spots to buy and read books.
Employees always have bad attitudes at this location 🙄
Good collection of anime books.
Cant wait to drink our Starbucks drinks Inside of the store again!
Two story store kinda was in a rush will review again in the future. I liked that theyre willing to help me attitude was great. Think I may have to go back.
Picked up my online order today. Book looks like they pulled out of an attic. Banged up. Scratched up. Cover looks like this book was laying in a pile of garbage and they just pulled it out and filled my order. No shame whatsoever. Definitely retuning it and never ordering for pick up from this location again.
Great environment.with a HUGE selection of genres and sub genres..if there is.a.book, or piece of media that you are looking for and they dont have it in stock they can order it for you and have it to you very quickly I was very impressed with this service in the past
Dude it was two floors of awesome and lots of great deals
Amazing, we need more real book stores!
This place is pretty big and the staff here are super friendly.
Nice, fully stocked bookstore in a large comfortable setting. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Books are organized well and easy to find. The cafe is also well appointed. The large two-floor store makes it easy to shop and linger at the shelves without feeling crowded by other shoppers. Also has a large accessible parking lot.
Love I can find black books there.
They have an array of books, magazines, self help journals and everything in between. The Starbucks inside this store is awesome as well. Actually the Starbucks is much better than most Starbucks around. Very pleased 😊
What a Blessing a Place Read!!
Spacious and clean, helpful staff, and has a great collection of titles. If you like bookstores, youll like this one.
The library has tape on books and books on tape. B&N only has the latter.
Great book store still standing at the mall
Books books and more books nice and clean place
Was missing an item i ordered online for pickup. Retail need to get their online game together these days. 4 stars because stuff like this happens everywhere and i understand.
Nice size b&n, good selection.
If your brown skinned you get like 8 ppl to help you and hover around its great.
The customer service was amazing they offered to give me pleasure in the horror section, now I have never gotten a BJ while reading Steven King horror . But it does sounds temptin I will definitly take his offer up next time.
Great, except they didnt have the item I was looking for.
Nice people working there. The coffee shop has amazing baked goods
They didnt have the particular language book on hand but the customer service was excellent both in the approach and in her suggestions to see if I liked the style of book in a different language and she would order me that same series in mine.
One of the nicer Barnes and Noble I have been in however because of Seattle I couldnt find sit anywhere in it unlike th other B&N around East Side and North Side. So I ended up not staying, spending far less than planned. I couldnt take the time to find the books I wanted to buy. So now I am off to another one to buy what I want. Sad.
I dont like how the workers harass you when youre just trying to look around the store
Great book selection, & manga section has good variety as well!
Nice inventory and unique childrens toys.
Other than (the-maze)to get there if youre busing it due to construction...it was(5-stars).
Its ok! Staff will judge if youre homeless
Neighborhood under construction and will only get better when the Kraken practice facility opens.
I finally found the Jodi Picoult book I was waiting for!
Havent been to a book story for ages! But since we are expecting snow, my other half needs his Sat. New York times crosswords. So I bought a book of them for safe measure.Very nice staff for some who just does circle a word.Very clean as well
Friendly employees, Excellent service😁
A cool place to go for a coffee and sandwich, especially if you like to read.
Its always a great time shopping in this store. Even if you just window shop, so much to enjoy
Make better coffee than any other Starbucks!
Always a blast for me. The membership is super worth it if you read a lot, prefer physical books and don’t want to support Amazon. 😊
Convenient spot right off I-5. Friendly staff
Very beautifully organized and stable places, you can get any book of book here
Helpful staff, eager to make recommendations, practicing safe distancing even in a retail environment. The store is relatively full on a mid-morning Saturday, but everyone is being serviced in a timely manner.
The staff here always give great recommendations & are super helpful and willing to answer any questions I have.
Love this book store. Greatly dislike a couple of the employees.
The store is a pretty good size, and has a great selection of books, and games! Also a great place to find a cool, interesting (in a good way), original gift! Not 5 stars because the staff couldnt figure out whether or not they had what I wanted... even said they didnt they think had any (scratch art) and even though they didnt have the books of art I prefer, they had a HUGE selection of scratch art upstairs... lol Im glad I looked!
Always clean and has lots of room. I’ve never not found a book that I need. Friendly and helpful staff plus it has a big parking lot.
Really great place. Good selection and workers who check in on you u buy are willing to leave you alone if you need it. Ive had a few experiences with the cafe area being messy and the cafe workers being a little rude. Overall really great though! Love browsing books there and reading the recommendations from the staff! Theres a great kid area too.
It had a great manga selection
Great place. Love to go and browse.
Wuz peace and quiet
I really liked the layout of this Barnes &Noble. With two floors, it doesnt feel cramped or overfilled with books. That being said, there is a great deal of space taken up by the Fiction section on the first floor and the Childrens section on the second floor. The Arts and Craft sections are decent. But the Religious section leaves much to be desired. I saw this because with so many stand alone Religious bookstores that have closed in the last few years, I am surprised B&N has not picked up the slack in that area. Especially since most people buying religious material still prefer to touch and feel before they buy. Having the Starbucks inside is always a delight. And this is not your average Starbucks. This one is fully stocked with soups, sandwiches, cookies and other delightful treats. You could easily spend hours in here exploring the shelves while sipping on your favorite drink. I recommend this place, especially if you have kids or teens. Their infant to teen book selection is outstanding. And for anyone into Manga, you have a whole section that will not disappoint.
Great selection and helpful staff
The book im looking for isnt available at this location specifically i have to find out if other locations yet.
Great Customer Services & Selection of Books.
This store has a vast selection of books and has a great Criterion film selection (which was my main objective during their sale)!
I selected a load of poetry, a couple of mysteries & a magazine. It was great being back in a book store! The employees were great, as always.
Its great to support this company. I would hate to see a world where there were no bookstores to go to and browse. We have to support the businesses that we love even if we only go there once a year.
Online purchase...go pick it up...easy!
Such a large variety of books, has a cafe and tables there so you can study if needed
Good place for books and coffee.
Barnes and Noble is one of those national brick and mortar chains that I just didnt care for when I moved here in Seattle because theres Amazon and plenty of local bookstores. I live conveniently close by Third Place Books for one.But the revelation for me when my hubby strung me along (he didnt want to go to Macys where I was headed, of course) was the cafe. A display shelf of yummy pastries matched with the heavenly sweet smell of dessert lured me to the counter. There I discovered individual slices of cheesecakes and other goodies from The Cheesecake Factory! I never knew I could just go in the B&N and get myself a nice sweet little serving of dessert! Coffee and other beverages are from Starbucks. Theres sandwiches and soup too.And the best part? Its open until 11pm! Dont judge =)Note that you cant pay for your drink with your Starbucks card. Also, 10% discount given to B&N members.Pictures to follow!
Glad to see a real bookstore is alive. I remember when B&N was criticized for destroying small quirky bookstores and now online sales are bleeding B&N pale. Life is fair if youre the biggest fish it seems - all others are just their food or competition to be destroyed. Things change, maybe not always for the best.
Great service. Large book options
Love it! Cozy place
Somewhat sparser selection and slightly less polite staff than the Alderwood branch, though that could be attributed to the holiday season.
Best place to go for books and gifts. With a lot of the mall shutdown parking is very available even during peak hours. Like all B&N the cafe has really yummy food and treat options. I love coming here with my young kids because its fun for them and mommy.
Best book store in seattle! Nuff said...
Love a real bookstore
The clerk was very helpful in guidance to some very sought after/ hard to find titles.
Great! They have arranged the bookshelves so there is more room. They have a sign saying they are limiting the number of customers and ask for all customers to honor the 30 minute shopping time.
I was surprised to see Barnes and Noble was open during all the construction at Northgate. Then, I was surprised to see that the Starbucks had been converted to a Barnes and Noble coffee shop. I havent been in Barnes and Noble for a couple of years, but it is still a great place to be to explore real books. I ordered a great Mocha and got 2 for 1 cookies, bought a book and got a chance to really relax. This visit encouraged me to visit Barnes and Noble more often.
I needed books for quarantine, and I thought that maybe I would go to Northgate to find some but when I saw the sign that said we are open on Barnes and Nobles I was like oh yeah lets go here perfect. But its a total scam I really am upset that they made you think you could just go and buy books but it was a total scam!! You have to get online even though the sign says that you can get it there. Anyway after I order online and then pick my books up and had a good experience with that, but I really just would have preferred if they didnt have that sign up it really gets your head twisted in a way that I dont appreciate.
