Ben and Bob have both been very helpful in my long-time search for the perfect boat. They took the time to listen and understand my requirements, and have been on top of recommending boats both that theyre selling and also boats that competitive/colleague brokers are selling. They want to see people connected with the right situation, and I cant recommend Sail Northwest enough.
Bought a boat through Sail Northwest. Bob Ross insisted everything was fine, the work would be easy to do myself, anything I asked about (I.e. rigging and sails were in great shape.)Turns out to not be the case. Bob was then unresponsive to any emails for help afterwards until I threatened legal action. He then blamed me and claimed if I had asked for help, he would have given it, but now that Ive threatened legal action he would not help.Goes further - Ben Braden, the other broker, who always acted like a friend to me, sent a buddy style email to me privately which the independent surveyor I hired (from their recommended list) later referenced. This leads me to question when and how much they coordinated.During the boat refit I got in way over my head, both due to their recommendations and the failures of the surveyor (who failed the photograph any evidence of the largest damage on the boat) I used from their list. I have been beyond stressed and ended up losing my job.Buyer beware.
