They replaced the tire and performed other needed services. Ive been taking my 2013 Volvo C30 to Swedish Automotive since I first purchased my car. Always professional and knowledgeable with excellent customer service. I would not take my car to any other place. I really like that you can schedule an appointment online, receive text updates, and a full repair report with pictures to your e-mail.

Swedish Automotive is a great place for my 2009 Mini Cooper Clubman. Communication regarding the condition of my car from the service reps and what needs to be done is clear, concise and timely. I love that they are in t neighborhood. I can even take a bus to and from if there are no loaner cars available! It was a great day when the sign went up that they were certified to service Minis!

Run (okay, drive!), dont walk to European Auto. I have had German cars for years and never, ever have I found their combination of knowledge, experience, credible-expert advice, and genuine friendliness anywhere else. They handled a routine service on my C300 but after talking w/them I opted to also do tires (they were overdue): they provided exceptionally good information helping me clear the fog of tire information and misinformation out there. They were also good enough to flag a few other small things and were quick to work them into the schedule. In a word, amazing!

Ive been going to Swedish Automotive for many years, both under the prior owner (for my MINI Cooper) and now the newer owners (for my Volvo). The staff at Swedish take the time to explain the issues, they dont upsell for unnecessary services, and have a great texting/email service that provides service summaries with photos. Very affordable car rental if you need to leave your car for a few days. Knowledgeable, courteous, efficient service.

I heard of this Swedish Automotive from one of my relatives; as for someone who recently bought a car and has very little knowledge of it, I decided to get some advice on where to go for a good place to fix the a/c as well as the moisture coming inside the car. They were very professional at what they do, giving me a detailed report of all the parts that have been examined, leaving me satisfied to be included in the progress. But I didnt know how much can be relied on, so I asked my relatives for the final say on it, but I didnt have to worry much as they were pretty much in sync with one another. The end progress was gratifying, and they even fixed the driver handle free of charge. Thank you so much for all you guys did! :)

My 2017 died in an intersection in west seattle on a Sunday. I had it towed to Swedish and left keys in their overnight box and a voicemail. The team there got my car in as fast as they could, were beyond detailed with their repair and communications. They provided me a loaner car which saved me a ton of time and $ vs renting from a car firm. Working with Sean was such a pleasant and professional experience. The car issue turned out to be related to an error made during an oil change 2 days prior at a jiffy lube. Swedish prepared the details needed to assist with the claim. Cannot recommend Swedish enough!

I got a flat tire and even though I didn’t have an appointment & had never used their services before, the coworkers at Swedish automotive were amazing. They were courteous, professional and totally accommodating. I thought I was going to be stranded and they quickly responded to my situation in a helpful and empathetic way. My father brought all of his vehicles here for years while he lived in Seattle, so I didnt hesitate to do the same. Service was done in a timely fashion, and communication between the shop and I was consistent and helpful throughout. They are not cheap, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I bought a car from auction that needed the head removed in order to repair a few dropped valve seats. I noticed the oil change sticker was from this business. Assuming they did the final work to determine it needed major work, the technician put all the parts he had removed to diagnose the issue neatly in the trunk so when I went to put it all back together I had all the parts! Thanks, as a Master mechanic of 20 years I appreciate when work is done professionally.

Swedish Automotive has been servicing my car for more than 20 years. I would not take it to any other shop. They are caring, professional, competively priced, and really know Volvos, obviously. Mine is an older model (1983) but they keep my car happily running.

I had some routine maintainence and AC issue with my BMW. The experience was pretty good, staff was friendly, good pricing and delivers on time. There’s a bus stop one block away that goes to downtown Seattle(route 21) which is convenient.

These guys saved me. I had a very full work week ahead of me that required a long drive and my car decided (at 3pm on Monday) it was not up for the challenge. They diagnosed the problem, got me a quote with a short term and long term solution, and put me in a reliable loaner. I finished out my work week without a hitch. This is my second Volvo, and while maintenance is not always cheap - I always get them pre-owned, I feel like it is worth it and I get what I pay for here. My car works hard so I need reliable service. We road trip for long distances, my kid is in every sport, we have a big dog who hangs out the window . . . it is nice to know we are taken care of.

European Auto Repair treated me right, and as far as I can tell they treated my Subaru right, too. We live a few blocks away, and when wed walk past the shop I was always impressed with how clean and neat everything looked inside.They initially thought that both my front and rear brakes needed replacing, but after getting things opened up, it turns out only the front needed replacing. Its always a good sign when a shop tells you that they need to do less work than they initially thought. Honesty is sadly not the norm in auto shops.Im happy to have a great shop that is within walking distance to our house. They are perhaps a bit on the more expensive side, but for the super friendly service, honesty, and (what seems to be) top quality work Id say its definitely worth it. Highly recommended.

Was very honest in their assessment of the Subaru engine repairs needed and the cost vs. gain balance. They gave us a good explination of the issues and did not pressure us to have any of the services performed. Even emailed a great link to a site that had step by step explanation of one of the proposed repairs. Very affordable rate for the diagnostic work performed.

Hello.. To all of the automotive owners in Washington State. First of all I normally dont write reviews. Because I believe that reviews only serve as a guideline. That said, I was always taught to give credit where credit is due. I really hope that I will have enough room to tell a portion of my story. I met Swedish Automotive by calling them one day.. and I believe that Todd answered the phone. I asked the question can you bring a car back to life ..Todd replied .. sure we can ..we do it all the time .. My 2003 A6 Quattro was involved in a flood.. not as in water but as in snow.. In February 2019 when Washington State received .. the foots of snow (Snowmegedon ). When the snow decided to melt. It found its way into my car.. All of the electrical components were destroy ..the carpet and the padding was ruined .. there was mold in the car among other things ..you get the picture the car was DEAD..I mean NOTHING was working .. furthermore it looked as though that it never would work again. I probably cried enough to start another flood. But with Todds guidance he was very through & specific of what his shop could do. I personally was ready to send the car to the junkyard..My insurance company wanted to total the car. But Todd kept reassuring me that it will be okay .. trust me .. Trust him !! I was scared as hell .. but I did.. Although the pandemic .. and the awaiting on my finances setback the delivery date of picking up the vehicle ..Today .. March 11, 2021,, Todd delivered my vehicle to me ..it was almost like new on the inside .. everything works and it is fixed.. I immediately jumped in the car and drove it for hours looking for something to be wrong .. Honestly the car drove better than it did before the problem occurred ...Today ...I have been crying ALL day !! but these are tears of JOY !!! You see I even took it to Audi .. the people who manufactured the car .. they even told me that the car is DEAD.. because of the damage ..Todd and his team at Swedish Automotive ..said Yes when others said NO.. I have worked in the automotive industry for almost 20 years ..so I am VERY familiar with the auto industry.. and shade tree mechanics..I am very impressed with the quality of workmanship that was performed on my vehicle..I HAVE NOW FOUND MY OWN PERSONAL AUTO REPAIR SHOP..that I can trust .. Honest and expert service at a reasonable price. We started going to Swedish Auto over 15 years ago. We had a Volvo with a problem that had stumped other mechanics for months. Swedish identified and repaired the problem on our first visit. Now we trust them with our Subaru. Excellent COVID precautions.

After reading so many positive reviews I was excited to make this my new go-to mechanic for my Volvo. I called and spoke to Sean to inquire about a Volvo-specific software system and see if they are able to disable my alarm for me. This was after hours of reading forums and speaking to Volvo directly, who explained to me they are unable to disable the alarm due to safety reasons but privately-owned shops do it frequently. I was surprised when Sean started laughing at my question on the other end of the line and continued to mock me throughout our conversation. He said it was very unusual for a woman to call in with such a question and that he had never heard of using the Volvo software to disable the alarm but would look into it and get back to me. This is the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. He did in fact call me back but said he couldnt find anything on the matter even though I was able to locate the answer with a quick Google search. And that Volvo had explained the simple process to me as well. He continued to be very degrading on the phone and when I said I was waiting to hear back from some other shops before scheduling an appointment he sarcastically said good luck with that before hanging up on me. Obviously, I did not take my car there and never will so I cant speak to the quality of their work but customer service needs an upgrade! I was able to get in contact with other European auto specialists who were friendly, helpful, and got the job done. So if youre searching for a new mechanic, know that there are other ones around who wont make you feel like an idiot in the process.

I had this shop recommended to me a while back when I had a flooding convertible (thanks rain!), and Im glad I called them.That was my first encounter, but wasnt my last - time after time Swedish has helped me out in emergencies. For example the latest was today, while interstate, all it took was a phone call and the staff did their best to help me out, even to go so far to provide in depth details and photos (!!!) of work (Porsche dealer didnt want to believe something) that occurred months prior.To put it bluntly they care, are incredibly customer focused and knowledgeable and it doesnt go unnoticed. Hands down the best auto repair shop out there. Everyone here truly does honest work. Every detail was discussed with me, all charges were explained to me and presented as options at times, and every question I asked was treated as a valid one (even if I felt dumb asking). I was blown away by the amount of care and attention I was given. Communication was great — they actually answer the phone (unlike other places I’ve tried). Highly recommend!

I really wanted to like these guys. Id heard good things about them and I love their (new) building. Plus its in my neighborhood, so very convenient! But it was a less than pleasant experience from the start. The hatch on my 2013 Volvo was working intermittently. So I took it in to see what it would cost to repair it. They charged me over $200. for diagnostics and it took them 2 days to come up with an issue. The module was bad and needed replacing to the tune of $900. A lot more than I wanted to spend, but I thought I would go ahead and do it. 3 days later, and several inquiries, they said the struts also needed replacing to the tune of another $900. By this time, it was the weekend, and the car would need to stay in until Monday. They did give me an old beater for a loaner, which I appreciated. My car was finally ready to go at the end of the day Monday, a full week after I dropped it off. The final cost to repair my hatch - over $2300.! I asked for the cost of the diagnostics to be taken out of the final bill, since in my mind, they didnt diagnose the issue from the start. Had I known it would cost me over $2000. I would have lived with a hatch that worked intermittently. They did agree to remove that cost from the final bill, but it was still over $2000. It was too much and took way too long. I will not go back and would not recommend them. I will say they were very pleasant and always professional. And 2 weeks later, the hatch is working well. But they are overpriced and take much too long for me to be a satisfied customer.

Took my Subaru in to figure out if it was worth it to fix up or if I should just find a new car (I’ll be getting a new car lol.) Sean was very thorough, great at staying in contact while my car was in, and very patient with my lack of knowledge about cars... I’ll for sure be coming back with my new car!

Swedish has always been awesome. I’ve had two oil changes there, and on the first one, Sean let me know that my tires were snow tires (I wasn’t told this when I bought my used car). He was able to explain to me how to order new tires to the shop and they installed them for me no problem. Great guys and great service!

I couldn’t figure out why ALL of my control panel lights started flashing at once. The Subaru shop could only get me in after 30 days and I find it hard to trust them. They keep my car for a week and then forget to do all maintenance required. I tried this shop in desperation ( and saw many great reviews) . They checked my car in same day of call. Communicated clearly during the whole process and accomplished the difficult job of figuring out which wires mice has eaten. Yes, mice. Who knew? I was able to pick up my car the next day, given the extent of the damage and yuck Factor, the bill was fair.Highly recommend. I will never take my car anywhere else.

Awesome service, and made my car feel brand new again. Nice new windshield and tune up for half the cost of the dealership. I’ll definitely be going back!

Ive been taking my Volvo to Swedish Automotive for 17 years now. First it was an S-70 4-door sedan, for which Swedish Automotive was a life-saver many times as that car had been stolen, wrecked and had more done wrong to it by others than one can imagine. Swedish Automotive took extremely good care of that car until it died at over 270K miles. I replaced it with an used Volvo C-30 and after getting the car I asked Swedish Automotive to take a look and fix or replace items which needed it. Ive now had the C-30 for 3 years now and the same superb service has been to the C-30 as was done to my S-70.I should also point out that the staff and owners are incredibly reliable, friendly, remember your name and car and generally are exceptional neighbors and an exceptional neighborhood business.

I have been going to Swedish Automotive for years. This most recent service was to prepare for taking my 1989 Volvo 740 Turbo to California to give it to my son. It needed the air conditioning re-activated; cruise control restored, and check the timing belt. The Swedish Automotive team got all that done, and found some other things for me to consider prior to the long trip: the rear brakes were almost expired, and the timing belt needed to be changed. Both would have big problems to have failed on the trip, and not what I wanted to pass on to my son. Sean did an excellent job keeping me up to speed. The repairs took a long time, but I wasnt in a hurry. I will miss the work quality of the technicians at Swedish Automotive (I have just bought a new 2020 XC60 under factory warranty) and the professional, yet personal way I was treated. I hope my son can find someone equally competent in Southern California.

Technicians were able to identify problem with power steering. And make necessary repairs. Work was completed on time and explained in detail. A loaner car was provided. Very pleased with the work. And care with regard to COVID-19 was appreciated.

They are no more expensive than a jiffy lube or other quick stop service station. I should have come to these guys earlier! I had a break light out and just swung by a few minutes before closing. They pulled the panel and popped in a new bulb in about 5 minutes and I was on my way. I asked them what owed them and they just said to remind them to charge me for a bulb the next time I come in. In the world of Covid I was able to completely service my car and never be face to face with another person.
