Don’t go here go to Salinas. Had a clank in the rear and basically they did filter/fluids and gave it back. Maybe not even a week later it was still there. Waste of $300. That was a year or two ago. Making this post now because a friend is using them and they haven’t even opened his transmission and it’s been weeks. Just excuses and bad practices here. Go anywhere else your car will thank you.

Drove my daughters car to her from Indiana. Transmission started acting funny around Utah. Made it into Monterey and tried to find an open shop. None open on Saturday. Long story short, I choose Quality because of the reviews on Google. I dont know if they are having personnel problems or what their deal is but it should NOT take 5 weeks to rebuild a transmission. Excuse after excuse. I would definitely not recommend this place. I feel that they tried to take advantage of my daughter. They didnt offer any discount and in fact took 2 days longer than promised. The only reason I think they finally got it finished was because she had to change duty stations. She got it virtually hours before she left. So far so good, but Id recommend some other place.

We have been on the road from Florida and ended up here in CA. Quality Transmission rebuild the Transmission. The price was good, and on Top we were given a car to move around for FREE.If someone is looking for a personal professional service with warranty, this is the place to go.Gery, thanks to you and the crew!

Had an pan exam on Thursday. Was asked to pay $150 with no report of what they observed. Friday found my car in my car port with the entirety of the transmission fluid on the ground. Not stoked.

I should have went to AAMCO! Simple transmission rebuild. These guys wanted $1900 for the same thing AAMCO wanted $1100 for. Then, when I refused the service they wanted to charge me this ridiculous $600 diagnostic fee. Should have taken about an hour on the bench to determine whats wrong. When I refused to pay that they just kept the transmission. I never signed any paperwork, never saw any written estimate, it was all made up on the fly by these shady businessmen, please avoid!

I took a transmission out of a car and took it to them. Supposedly the guy was going to do me a favor by reviewing my work. After five weeks i came back realizing this will not get done. I found the transmission in one place, the bucket with the valve body and harness in another and the owner said he lost the transaxles and hed have to buy me new ones. One of the workers says: I think I know where they are and walks through the shop to the back door and we find my axles on the ground outside in some garbage pile. I came back and did some research and put it back together to find that six of the oil pan screws are missing. There was debris all over my transmission. Had I not gone back my parts would have been missing and my car would never get put back together. So i have nothing more to say about them except quality transmissions my ass!!!

Shop is full of cars that look like they have been there for a while. I inquired about a trans rebuild vs trans replacement and got mostly arrogance. Estimates were very ambiguous with unclear fees and they even questioned the quality of a new replacement transmission from the dealership when it seemed to be less than their services. Not one local recommended this shop, but I decided to see for myself. Lesson learned: listen to the locals.
