Ordered appliances in early May and finally delivered in August. With the pandemic shortages this is to be expected.Unfortunately the good vibes stopped there. It took three different installation crews to get our microwave installed. So many excuses...Home Depot never delivered any of the accessories on the order and we ended up installing the range ourselves. None of the Home Depot crews were willing to level the fridge or align the side by side fridge doors. We ended up paying an independent contractor who had other work to do in the house take care of this.Emily, the Home Depot Manager, only approved a partial refund. Why? Chuck the very helpful appliance sales clerk wrote a message to Emily and to Heather, the Customer Service Manager, in the Home Depot internal communication system asking why only a partial refund was given. That was over two weeks ago. No one has reached out to us.Unless you are willing to deal with appliance delivery crews that are not reliable, dont bring any tools to do the installation on the work order and have to come to your house at least three times to get some of the work done that you paid for, you should probably buy appliances elsewhere.On the positive side, the GE appliances that were delivered all work and look good. We are happy with our new kitchen appliances.

My parents had terrible service from this store this past week. This Home Depot pretty much stole $1200 from my parents. They tried to tell my parents that there was no record of there purchase wile at the same time taking their money out of there account. They were treated horribly and refused to give them our money back. Will recommend not doing business at this location.

Great service here, the young man greeted me and asked me I needed any help. I just asked him to point me to the chainsaws. He walked me over to them and handed me the one I was looking for. I really appreciate that as a customer, I was in and out in ten minutes. Keep up the great customer service and Ill keep coming back.

HOME DEPOT IS PRO MONEY WITH OUT REGARD TO YOUR HEALTH!!! I love their products and services. However they do not enforce safety. I asked an associate, why not deny these people service ?!?! The answer, “Corporate won’t let us, and they are regulars.” Many don’t believe COVID is real, but I almost lost my wife to it. Selfish people with a “I’m above it all” attitude and corporations with the same attitude are the reason for COVID is spreading.Also drywall delivery fiasco.... Anyone one need 1/2” 4x12 sheets of drywall? I have 60 of them they gave me for free!!!!

Im working on several projects. I needed assistance in a couple of departments. The employees went out of their way to answer my questions with no hesitation. Check out was a little slow but the store was very busy. Which is a good thing.😄

I came into the store with a broken toy of my grandson’s. It was a plastic lawn blower with a broken hose. I found Dan & Steve working in an aisle and asked if they could help this grandma out. They could not have been nice and more accommodating and fixed it to working condition again. Dan put two couplers on it and a new hose and my grandson is back to using it outside in the yard again. They went way above and beyond what they needed to and I can’t tell you how much appreciated that is. That’s why Home Depot is my favorite hardware store!! WHATEVER YOU DO, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE HOME DEPOT SCHERERVILLE, IN. TOOL RENTAL DEPARTMENT IS SCAMMING PEOPLE!!!! First off, the damage protection plan is an optional charge that they are supposed to ask you, if YOU want it or not, I was never asked if I wanted it or not. Second, their equipment is unsafe and absolute garbage! A man lift w a 500lb capacity can’t even lift 250lbs. Dangerous equipment is poorly maintained and is made even more dangerous! Now how many people have they scammed into paying for damages when the person pays for the damage protection and they still have to pay? Also, Chris in the Tool Rental department at the Home Depot in Schererville, IN is extremely rude and condescending, he even tried getting lippy with the Schererville Police Officer that I requested for a civil standby. He was rude to my wife, rude to me and he honestly should NOT work in customer service or necessarily at Home Depot.

Customer Service was excellent found what I was looking for in no time. Self checkout was a breeze. I was in and out in no time.

I hate lifting heavy stuff. I have also been doing large landscaping projects this summer. Lots of soil bags, sand, papers and stuff I cant remember. So I love curbside pick up. I work in Schererville close to Lowes Menards and home depot. Lowes is chaos. Menards honestly I didnt check out curbside because I know from experience you can bot buy at register and request help. You have to go to a whole different desk and get it written up. So I had low expectations. Didnt bother. I have done curbside at Home Depot all summer. You dont need to download the app you can let them know your arrival from text or email. Never waited longer than 10 minutes. I love it

John set us up with a cub cadet lawn tractor within 15 minutes. The double bagger for it.. paid, loaded up & headed home. Fast, knowledgeable, phone ahead, love the mower. It’s bad to the bone 🦴Thanks John for the help! Much appreciated! 😁

I didnt know home depot carried fabric spray paint I usually have to special order it works well when doing a stencil on a chair or pillow. There shelves were very well stocked I found what I went for and some more.

Home Depot is one of two home improvement stores that I usually visit. If I really want something inexpensive I go to Menards because their selection is a bit more in-depth when it comes to hardware and I can buy things like that and one or two pieces versus a box. But home Depot has much better tools and I think a much more customer focused appliance center with people helping who know what theyre doing. Theyre both good places. My thing is if Menards doesnt have it I know home Depot will and vice versa

We ordered on line white vinyl fence panels and paid for it. A couple of hours after, a store rep called and said that they were out of stock of panels!What type of inventory system a big company like Home Depot have??The ordered was consequently cancelled and we ve sitting down for the last several days waiting for a REFUND.

On May 24th, 2021, at the Schereville, IN Home Depot, I went in to make a few purchases. A few days later, I noticed on my bank statement that I had been double charged for that purchase. I called them immediately and was told that I had to come in to THAT particular store, where I made my purchase, not a closer store, to get the issue resolved. I was instructed to bring in my receipt and the bank statement, which I did. I also told them I wasnt close to the store and wanted to ensure that I had everything I would need before making the trip.When I got there, a manager was called. That manager didnt bother to even come to the service desk, he just told his staff there was nothing he could do. He didnt even take the time to discuss this issue with me personally. I was told they couldnt do anything, and that I should take it up with my bank.I did then contact my bank who requested I come in and sign paperwork with them and was told it could take up to 30 DAYS for them to be able to resolve the duplicate charge.First, Home Depot could have told me all of this on the phone but obviously didnt want to be bothered to try to resolve it and advise me to contact my bank before running over to them. They said I needed to come in to that specific store personally with my information to ensure I wasnt committing fraud. Second, if I wasnt diligent about checking my bank information, I could have potentially bounced a check or overdrawn my account, resulting in additional charges. That extra charge could have put me in a financial bind which fortunately was not the case.I wonder why they felt it necessary to make me waste MY gas and MY time for absolutely nothing. I will NEVER shop at the Schereville, IN store again and will give some hard thought to shopping at any Home Depot if this is their policy. I vote with my dollars and am not likely to vote for them in the near future or after.

I would like to say what an outstanding store the Schererville, IN Home Depot is in regards to customer service. My daughter purchased a Samsung fridge there in Sept/2020 and the unit went out and could not be fix. Samsung refused to replace the unit and only wanted to give her a fraction of the cost to replace it with the exact same model. After hours and hours of frustrating calls to Samsung, Home Depot stepped in and was going to make up the difference in the cost of the fridge. They also sent out a loaner fridge for my daughter to use. Both Heather in appliances and the manager should be commended for looking out for their customers. 5 stars in not a enough rating for them.

Cashier was so rude she gave us a debate on senior discount. As if we were trying to avoid paying regular price. My husband just turned 66 and i did not remember and she told me rudely you dont know his age. Like really !! She claimed to be the manager so professional. So sorry !! This post is not for Homedepot!!

Found all the items I was looking for, using the Home Depot app (then looking for the location and quantity in stock of the items in the store). Was also helped by a worker at the store who was more than helpful (asking if I had any questions while finding items). Very refreshing having people in a large retail place like this helping you without you having to search for someone!!

Yesterday I called The Home Depots lumber department to inquire about a piece of 4×4 plywood my son could throw against to practice pitching against for his baseball team.I asked the lumber departments manager Les to please spray paint a strike zone for my son to hone his skills as he is very enthusiastic about pitching and I cant be there as I live in Washington D.C.Les was unbelievably understanding and helpful. He went above and beyond creating a masterpiece far exceeding my expectations.Thanks Les and The Home Depot this means the world to my son. Awesome job!

Dont buy an appliance from Home Depot.Home Depot outsources the install and delivery and will not hold their contractors responsible for damage done to your new home or appliance.I had a gas valve broken. It wasnt expensive to replace, so I can absorb the cost if I have to.But, one poor woman had her basement flooded and neither Home Depot nor the contractor took responsibility.You dont have to risk a flooded basement. Just buy your appliance somewhere else.

Home Depot has a large supply of most everything. The self checkout is helpful with an employee nearby if you need help.I needed three different types of light bulbs and they had all three.Through the years Ive gotten used to using Home Depot as my big box store for home fix-it supplies and know where most things are.

Their website they had two of what I wanted to buy. It took customer service 25 minutes and 3 phone calls to find item in store. Paid in full to be assembled and delivered. They called a week later to schedule delivery and told to call the day before to get time of delivery. I called to find out what time, I was told anywhere from 6AM to 8PM? Now told to call day of delivery to get time? Contacted manager and worked out delivery that day by Home Depot employees, not an outside contractor.

The people in the paint department are the best.I always trust Home Depot to get best paint and paint products.Behr is my go to fir a professional finish.I didnt get her name but the lady at the paint department is so helpful.I appreciate her services today around noon.Service with kindness and professionalism! Had an order I had waited the better part of a week for, needed at the job site I was working. Tracking showed that it was at store, store was unable to locate the order, then Home Depot help desk wanted me to contact 3rd party shipper to work on finding order; told them, not my job, cancel order and ship another one to my house, not the end of the world, but definitely aggravating.

Have been here at least a dozen times. Very unorganized staff, long wait lines, never have items in stock and dont bother ordering, youll be lucky to receive most of the order if any at all within a month. Menards and Lowes are nearby and I would recommend trying them first any day. Also dont trust the app. Said an item was in stock with quantity 18, at store only one and employee claimed he couldnt find more.

Original review (approximately May 2020):Staff is friendly, but service is slow and subpar. Ive placed two online orders with Home Depot on the past month. Both orders had two boxes and both times the workers at this location tried to give me one box as the complete order. I understand the warehouse might have made a mistake, but if you read the box or check the contents you can see that it isnt all there. Slow down and take the extra ten seconds to make sure youre doing the job right and not further inconveniencing your customer please.Update 1/4/21:Placed another online order (for an attic door insulation kit) to be shipped to store around September. The item was very large and came in two boxes. Yet again the employees only gave me one box. I opened it, saw that I was missing half of the kit, checked the UPS label and it said box 1 if 2. This time when I pointed it out they told me their computer told them there was only one box and I was basically SOL- even after pointing out that it was a $100+ order and all that was in box one was double sided tape and cardboard. I returned the item on the spot and reordered online with the same results. The third time I just shipped to my home. Box one came first and box two came about three days later. How hard is it for someone to take the time to say you know, you might be right. Let me check with a manager or simply offer to take my info and keep an eye out for box two? So disappointing.
