I recently contacted Long Energy to get an estimate to replace my 35 year old oil boiler. Art was at my house within a few days and shortly thereafter I had an estimate for the work. Longs quote was very competitive and based on some recent experience with the company, I elected to move forward with the work. The work was completed in the estimated time and the workmanship and attention to detail are fabulous. The crew was pleasant, professional and very neat. My new installation is light years ahead of what I had. Thank you to Long Energy.

Absolutely horrible company to deal with. Switched companies recently and had their tanks removed. (Got locked in at a much better price) Never informed me they had a price capping program for 1.5 years up until I said I was switching. Also they were going to charge me $2.95 a gallon and it’s not even winter yet. Mind you I use almost 900 gallons a year. Both my 100 gallon tanks were about half full. Told them I wanted reimbursement for the fuel in the tanks. Gave me back significantly less than what I paid (they paid me just over a dollar a gallon) for the fuel I spent well over $2 a gallon on and sent me an invoice for picking their own tanks up when they told me it would be free just so it would offset the money they owed me and cut me a check for $5 for the 100ish gallons of propane I already paid for. I will never ever recommend this company and I will never go back. Absolutely shady business and people. I can’t even get any of the owners to call me or my wife back because they don’t want to deal with irate/upset customers.The new company we switched too has treated us better in 2 weeks than these people have in over a year.

They’ve been Servicing my grandparents house for 20+, their services are significantly more expensive than other oil companies around such as burrr oil. They’ve had their furnace Serviced every 6 months to one year. They were very on top of it. We had plans of changing our heating systems and had an hvac/heating specialist come and look at the furnace. We were told by the specialist that the furnace finding MAJOR problems. Problems that have been there since it was installed (in 1962 and is super well made one, thicker than anything that exists today). The issues were so bad that If it was a newer one it would have broke. The issues were obvious, and they never once told my grandparents that there were serious repairs needed. Also my grandparents were charged full service which includes cleaning the pipes out. Their last service in April 2021, but the pipes were filthy. According to the tags in the basement, apparently the last time they documented the cleaning was 2007! I would never recommend this company to anyone. I wholeheartedly believe that this company took advantage of my elderly grandparents. Stay away from this company, the most definitely take advantage.

I recently moved and needed a fuel company to deliver my Fuel oil and Propane. I made a call to Long Energy and within a few days, I had my Fuel tank filled. I inquired about service for my furnace and generator and they hooked us right up. Tech was on time, friendly, and very thorough. Being a new home owner and never having the experience to get these things done, Long Energy Customer Service and Sales as well as Service, were extremely helpful and not pushy. We truly feel like we were treated like one of the Family. We will be calling to have our Central Air tune up done by Long Energy. A great experience all the way around.

We just moved into a new home and purchased the credit the previous owner had with long. Well long made us fill out their credit application and said they would transfer the credit, never did and then sent a check back to the previous owner who had already been paid that money at closing. After that without being told or ever asked if we wanted autofil they filled our tanks when we did not want them filled. Told my husband they would not take us off autofill and that he was lying about the rate he said the previous owners contract was locked in at. When we then had their tanks replaced by a different company Long came and picked up our two FULL tanks and refuse to give us the money back for the propane in the tanks. They have been nothing but nasty, rude, unprofessional and they are thieves. I suggest to everyone I know and come in contact with to NEVER use this company.

The thermostat on my hot water tank went and it was causing us to have to reset it each time we wanted hot water. I reached out to Roger Livingston and like they always do without hesitation he connected me with Devon who ordered the part and after a few days it was installed. The team from the first call to the minute the work was done was very prompt and professional with handling the situation.

When we switched from an electric to a gas stove Long Energy was terrific at determining where the propane tank should go, installing the tank and hooking up the new range quickly and professionally. And when it turned out the burners werent quite right someone from Long Energy came right away (even though it was the night before a holiday) to adjust the burners.Long really seems to put the customer first!

Best home service, our boiler went out and they were here in less than 1 hour and had my heat back on before the house even got cold, thanks guys!

We have had a 15 year service and installation history with Long Energy. In that time, they have done all of our annual gas boiler inspections, cleanings and parts replacements (expansion tanks, thermostats, etc.), installed a mini-split AC unit, capped off an unused gas line and done extensive plumbing upgrades, removing old, original galvanized pipe and replacing. Every technician who has been at our house has been top notch, every job done with the greatest of professionalism and attention to detail. I have talked with many other homeowners in my neighborhood about their HVAC experiences and have always pointed them to Long. With so much mediocrity in service industries these days, it is comforting to know that in every way, Long Energy sticks to the basics: do the job right and customers will come back again and again.

Horrible company. A technician came out to clean a furnace and I have an oil furnace but he thought it was a gas furnace so I asked if he can still clean it and he told me he can do it. He complained about our furnace’s location but I just let it go at that moment. After a couple of months when I turned the furnace on it didn’t work so I called the company to come out and take a look but they told me they can’t do it because I don’t get the oil from them. I explained the situation about the technician who cleaned our furnace and I should be able to get a service since he took care of the furnace the last. They insisted that they can’t do it because of the liability. It just doesn’t make any sense. He should not have touched our furnace to begin with if they decline the further service. They of course took the money for cleaning, though. A person who took the phone was absolutely obnoxious. I will not recommended this company to anyone who is considering hiring them!

Long Energy serviced my parents home for many, many years. The company is absolutely on top of customer service from scheduling, to maintenance and support. Very responsive - even same service when the furnace needed repair. So grateful for the years of service.

Long Energy is the best company that you could ask for! They are on the ball 365 days a year. Very nice people to deal with. The drivers who deliver the oil are by far some of the nicest people. So very satisfied.

I would like to response to Dan Millers review a day ago : I have had a relationship with Long Energy for 17 years, and have always valued and appreciated their professionalism and willingness to address any issue or request that I had. I am satisfied with their attention in remedying the current problem of water in the tank. The matter has now been resolved. I have expressed frustration to family members regarding the problem that occurred, not Long Energys efforts to continue working toward a solution.

Best service, great prices. We had a furnace back up at our rental house and they were there within the hour! Amazing fast service techs and they had my tenants heat back on right away! Thanks guys!

Just had a new Furnace, Hot Water Tank, and AC unit installed all at once. Had a crew in house for 4 days. They did an amazing job, gave me an entire walk through of the work completed each day and company dealt directly with another chimney company to make sure there guys were on-site while there were, just in case anything was needed with the additional chimney liner also installed.

Extremely prompt, courteous, and efficient! -8 outside, furnace would not run for longer than five minutes following a power outage. Technician arrived within an hour of service call. Issue fixed, furnace running great again! Will always contact Long Energy for HVAC needs!

This morning I woke up to a very cold home. Something was wrong with the furnace. I have a daycare business in the basement of my home so aside from my personal space I knew I couldn’t open the daycare. My first call was to the company I have an account with. They quickly shuffled me off the phone by saying no one was available due to a long list of emergencies. I continued to call companies and got the same response until I spoke with a representative at Long Energy. They too had a long list of emergencies but they manage to fit me in. They quickly responded to my home. The service was 2nd to none! Very professional and reasonably priced!!I was so impressed I will be moving my account to Long Energy!!!

I have had the opportunity to work with Long Energy on multiple occasions on a variety of energy needs for the last 10 years. Long Energy has provided myself and my family with boiler service, in-direct hot water tank, home cooling with ductless split installation, and forced hot air furnace / AC. They have always provided outstanding response time on service and delivered on proposed work on time and on budget and having proven to stand behind all work.They are and will continue to be my first choice in the capital region for mine and my family’s energy needs.

We have had Long Energy coming to our home since rebuilding after the floods of 2011. They remotely monitor our services so we dont run out. The drivers/delivery people are friendly and efficient. Their budget service is great for spacing out our heavier winter demands thru-out the year. Very happy to have switched to Long after years of being with Esperance LP who did not keep our fuel topped off and caused us to switch to Long.

I wanted to share my positive experiences with Long Energy. This past weekend my oil furnace quit working, thankfully had enough space heaters to get by. Called the office Monday morning and spoke with very helpful woman (can’t remember her name) who courteously and efficiently took my info. Within a half hour the service technician named Luke arrived. Luke was very knowledgeable and courteous as he fixed the problem, all while explaining to me what he was doing and teaching me as a fairly new homeowner the basics of how my heating system works and how to maintain it. I have had nothing but good experiences with Long Energy regarding oil delivery, customer service, repairs and pricing. I have no reason to look anywhere else for my energy needs.Andy in Albany

Everyone in the company is extremely courteous, from the people answering the phones to the delivery people, next day delivery, just a wonderful experience compared to other companies.

Three time promised delivery and three times company was a no show. Always say your fuel is on the truck for delivery tomorrow and then do not show up or call. Bob Juliano, the sales manager, promises great prices and service but delivers nothing.If you want fuel actually delivered when they say they will, use someone else.

Everyone is very responsive and their budget plan is great!

They always play games with the budget plans. As a propane customer of 6 years there is always a problem. No transparency in the billling, you sign a paper for a locked in rate and what you get charged is different every time. The woman who you talk to never has a straight answer, this is the last year we deal with them I do not recommend!

They always take care of me!

We have been Long Energy customers for 30+ years which is the reason I gave them any stars at all. Six years ago our very old oil furnace died and as the natural gas line was now available on our street we opted to change over to gas and got a whole new gas hot water heating system. We had always beeen happy with Long Energy so we had them install our new system. We have had some issues of air locks in one of our two zones over the past 6 years. Service calls were able to correct the problem by purging that zone. A couple of weeks ago our boiler started to leak. Longs serviceman came to look at it and said our boiler had a crack in it and had to be replaced. As the system was only 6 years old we figured No Problem. We were wrong. The boiler was manufactured by Well-McLain. They wouldnt honor the warrenty because it was caused by hard water deposits or water sediment or some water problem that they said negated their warrenty. We are on Town of Bethlehem water. Long Energy wouldnt back up their warrenty because it was a manufacturers problem. They first offered us $400 because thats all Well-McLain would cover anyway, then a few days later we were emailed an offer of another $1000 customer appreciation discount on a new boiler which would still be $3,100 out of our pocket. AND the offer was on a boiler that was less efficient than the one we already had. Needless to say we were very disappointed by how Long Energy handled this issue.The new company rep who came to see what we had, told us in his 22 years experience with his company, the same thing happened only twice and both times his company just took the loss and replaced to boilers. We now have a new higher efficiency system from that company. It cost us $5,200. During dismantling our broken furnace it was noted the air separater was only on one of our two zones. It was not on the zone we had multiple service calls for but that was never mentioned as a possible cause of the problem. The way Long Energy corrected the problem with air lock was by purging that zone. Now we find out every time it was purged our radiators it caused any rust or sediment to settle in the lowest point, which was our boiler. So Well-McLain might have been right when they suggested it may have been an installation error that caused the boiler to crack. Our new system has an air separator on both zones and once the air is out it should be a closed system and NEVER need to be purged. We are very happy with our new heating systems but are pretty unhappy that we are $5,200 poorer because Long Energy did not ever offer to replace our SIX YEAR OLD BOILER!!

BEWARE! If you want to save money $$$ go somewhere else. The 1st year they gave me a reasonable price. The 2nd & 3rd yr they were high priced so I decided to change companies. Bob Long called me & I told him we were going to change companies. They came that day and took the tanks, leaving my family without heat! They sent me a bill for $663.84 for cancelling the contract and did not reimburse me for the 50 gallons of LP that I paid $2.35/gallon for. Make sure you read the FINE print. Ive dealt with other companies including Valley Energy, Mulhern, H&L, Paraco and I have never been treated like this. Absolutely Awful! Go elsewhere or you will be sorry you ever went with Long Energy like I am.

Family members received a lot of water with there oil delivery. Long is attempting to remedy the problem but is semingly struggling to straighten this out. Any oil company worth their salt, shouldnt have a problem solving this! Disappointing!

Awful horrible terrible called for fuel said in two days they would make the delivery never showed up.Will never ever call them again.Found a different Company called and they did the job they said they would they made the delivery.

Do not do business with this company. Save yourself the agony.

The service is bad and driver did not load amount of oil I paid for.
