Great group to chat and talk about computers with but if you want something legitimately fixed go to Will Power PCs. Computer answers helped solved a minor issue when I first came to them but after they tried to solve a bigger memory issue my computer actually got worse to the point where it wouldnt start. Will Power PCs didnt even open my case before he told me what was wrong and after helping me find and order the right PC parts I had a fully function computer in 2 days.

The computer tech who assisted us, has become known to his customers as long-haired, Mike. He installed a Solid State Drive on our laptop. Mikes turn around time was excellent. He really knows his technology and treated us with professionalism. Mike has excellent customer service skills. Our laptop is operating at greased lighting speed. Thanks so much for you help!

Bought a lap top several years ago. Great service.Friendly knowledgeable staff. Long haired Mike is the best! When my hard drive finally gave up, they installed new solid state with extras. Highly recommend them!

I stopped for a key board problem and the technician was able to help right away. He was honest and opened my laptop in front of me, diagnosed the problem and fixed right then. It was the quickest fix I had, plus I did not have to leave my computer and come back. I was very happy and have not to pay much at all. This place was a last min great decision. They have fixed my daughters PC twice & where good about fixing exactly what was needed no funny business or games we would recommend these guys if your not sure or want a tune up. I never reviewed your store location? So how is our review on this store when we know for a fact we where on Altamont Ave in Rotterdam. The star count will go back up once we get a answer.

They quoted me a price that was too high considering i know other places that will do it for half the price. They were nice, but when i asked if the fan i bought would fit, they said it wouldnt. Yet, i just had it installed. So...it does fit. Otherwise, very nice people just trying to make a living.

My keyboard stopped working, and I needed to figure out what was wrong with it, and after doing my research I decided to take it to Computer Answers. Mike the guy who was on that day was very friendly and was able to diagnose and tell me what was wrong. He gave me a very fair and reasonable quote, and my computer was ready by Thursday. Its working wonderfully, and you guys are great, thank you so much ^_^

I believe it was Mike who helped me,. but all are great there. He fixed my iphone 5s screen. He said he needed an hour so I went to best fitness and I came back and he had it done despite being slammed. It works great and I saved $40 going here instead of the Apple store. beware of the mall places to say the least!

Excellent fast service. Took my crashed computer and rebuilt it into a mean lean machine at a reasonable price. Decor may not look great but service and results are great.

My mothers laptop had severe overheating. I took it to Computer Answers and it was fixed quickly and professionally. Total disassembly and cleaning, including new heat sink paste, for a very reasonable price.I was very impressed with the young man in dreads at the Computer Answers branch at 1119 State St. He really knew what he was doing and did an excellent job for me.(Im sorry, young man in dreads: I am terrible with names, and I forgot yours as I usually do. But again: great job!)

I had a shattered screen and broken home button on my IPhone 6. Computer answers fixed the screen and home button in under 1 hr with no appointment necessary for a very good price. I recently went in with a bad battery after my phone would no longer charge. They replaced it in ten minutes and the phone works great now. I appreciate these guys.

Really terrible customer service. Was closed at 5pm? Tried to over charge me and lied to me about an upgrade I really didnt need. Go somewhere else if you want it done right and in a timely manner. Edit: now has been 3 days since I havent be able to get my PC from them becaue no one works there? The Owner Paul tells me other stores make too much money to have someone simply meet me at their store to just pick up my PC they didnt even fix.

Long-haired Mike is patient, inventive, understanding, and resourceful. A real problem solver. This is the third major purchase we have made and we feel we have gotten excellent service.

Mike was very helpful diagnosing my IMAC screen problem. He explained all the tests he did and answered all my questions in a friendly manner, plus he verified an alternate solution that did not require a major cost. I recommend Computer Answers and would definitely use them in the future.

I brought in my highly problematic laptop and within a day they had it working as good as new. They were even willing to supplement the exellent work they did by not only tightening my hard drive when it came loose, but they did it so expediently and with such great service that they will be the only place I use for my computer issues from now on. 10/10

Ive been to the Schenctady location many times for a few different computer problems, Mike was super helpful every time. I even bought a refurbished laptop from them, works great. I strongly recommend this store to anyone having computer issues, especially with their FREE DIAGNOSTICS service!

Just got a laptop from these people. It runs beautifully; I love it. They diagnosed my old one and found it that the motherboard was bad. Im glad they helped me get another, better laptop.

I dropped laptop off for diagnosis, later informed of its problem and given price for repair. I later retrieved laptop only to find problem was unresolved. I returned with laptop and was then told there was another problem costing an additional 90 dollars for repair. I am not at all satisfied feeling that I should have been made aware of the problem from initial diagnostic. I have litigation plans for Computer Answers. Buyer Beware!!

Came to the store with a broken hard drive in my laptop. They gave us a free appraisal and a fair price to repair the computer. Marquese was friendly and ready to help with any questions. They did not try to charge us for more than we needed and the I got the computer back within a day.

I was very happy with the service provided by the company - they went above and beyond what I expected. I had a cracked screen on a Samsung edge 7. While the phone was there for an initial estimate I messed it up completely and the tech helped me to get it back up and running. I was leaving for vacation and needed the phone during that week and he worked with me to get it working so I could use it until the part came in. Once the part was onsite, he had it fixed within a few hours. Very happy with the service.

Went in to get a couple of small repairs done on my keyboard. 10 days and an extreme amount of overcharged prices later, I get it back, only to have it break down even worse than it was before in a couple of weeks. Turns out they installed a completely faulty keyboard improperly, so now I need to have another place fix their mess. Do NOT come here if you value your time and money.

Dont go here, I regret it Ive been waiting for over a month for my ps4 to be fixed it, and they wanna charge me 170, I should get a discount for how long Ive been waiting it took them like 2-3 weeks just to open it and tell me whats wrong with it, they are slow asf, if u feel like waiting a year I suggest going here,still havent gotten my ps4 back

Problem was solved. But you can definitely feel the long hair computer man is a racist. I guess they can have better attitude if you are a white.

If anyone needs their computer fixed may I recommend a guy named Mike Post who works for Computer Answers on Watt Street in Schenectady. This guy went above and beyond, spent two and a half hours today, figuring out what was wrong with my computer. Mike was very personable and VERY patient with all of the questions I a computer illiterate asked. I had taken my computer to five other technicians and none of them fixed the problem. My computer is now running like a top ! I have also posted this on my Facebook page. In many ways, my computer is my life line and to find someone as dedicated as Mike Post was an absolute godsend. Complete ripoffs. Astronomical prices for stuff you can do yourself in less than 5 min. For the non-tech savvy.My brother stopped in for a crashing computer, only to find a $500 DOLLAR BILL TO REINSTALL WINDOWS TWICE?? Avoid at all costs. Being a coder myself, that was completely unnecessary. They did not reinstall windows, only wiped harddrive. Scam artists.UPDATE: I was never quoted $65...more like $500

Years later I will say I hate it. I had to argue for quality and did not get what I wantes. Ssd I was sold died 2 years later. Received poor compensation from Clifton Park shop. Im not returning to any of the locations except for the 3 yr warranty on the new ssd and operating system I unfairly had to pay for again.

Had them do a hard drive replacement on my laptop and the new drive just crashed after 9 months. They told me they couldnt recover data but would sell me another drive. I was so frustrated I took it somewhere else, where they told me the drive was not only a cheap brand, but that they thought it looked like it was reconditioned! If you go here, make sure you know what kind of parts theyre selling you. I wont be going back.

The few times I have gone here have always left me dissapointed. Went in to get my laptops keyboard replaced as some of the letters were missing. when I got the laptop back I noticed that the bottom wasnt completely connected. After telling him (Mike?) this he was acting as if I was being a pain for simply asking him to return my laptop to me with all the screws in place. He the proceeds to look for the screws and then returns informing me they seem to have lost them and instead decides to fill it in with some type of plastic material. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE. How can you lose over half of my laptops screws and leave me with a laptop whose screen doesnt close correctly any longer.

I have used these guys three times this year with unrelated PC problems. They are super accommodating and helpful!

I dont think they actually looked at the computer I brought in. The guy never called me when he told me he would and I dont think he knew what laptop I was referring to at first when I called to check on the work. He told me it was the hard drive that was failing, but the issues I brought it in for did not indicate anything was wrong with the hard drive. The owner quoted me several hundred dollars to replace it (~ $250 for labor alone). I called around and most places were quoting half to a quarter of the price to replace it. I brought my laptop home and tried to see what indicated the hard drive was failing but there were no symptoms of it at all; I also called a shop and told them what the problems were and they agree that it did not at all sound like a failing hard drive was the problem. I ended up taking it to a place in Albany and they fixed the main issue for FREE in LITERALLY 5 seconds. Then they showed me the hard drive was at 100% -_-. So the guy was just trying to get 250 out of someone he figured doesnt know anything about computers (I still dont but thank God there are honest people out there not trying to pull one over on people). Good luck with your computer problems everyone. Be sure to search around before committing!

Its a good place but it can be expensive

Staff was friendly when I came into the store but then it took 4 days for them to come back to me with a quote. Just the quote and it was outrageously high. I took my laptop to another place nearby and they fixed it for half the cost and in the same time it took me to get a quote from Computer Answers. Needless to say I didnt feel much like a priority.
