Bought a car in October of 2020. Immediately needed engine work, transmission needed to be rebuilt, needed a new battery, list is still going. Brought it back under warranty for work. They had my car for 3 months straight in a garage because they only get parts from a junk yard. After I finally got the car back I’ve been going to garage after garage trying to finally get this thing fixed. It’s been a little less than a year that I’ve bought the vehicle and already spent more than their listing price on fixing the car. After all the work I’ve done, it still will not pass inspection yet. Don’t waste your time and money. Just go to a dealership and use the money you have on a down payment then work out some type of payment plan if you need a vehicle. I don’t like talking bad about peoples small businesses because I know they need to make a living but I’ve been going broke because of this money pit of a car they shouldn’t of even sold me. I doubt they put much care into their other vehicles.
Hungry hill autoYou all know women are not fans of auto stores . Or I would say atleast 35 percent of women would rather go mow the grass instead. Anyways hungry hill auto was the auto store nextdoors depending what shift you hit will depend on the experience of the staff that is there now you all know we all had to start some wheres at the bottom once ourselves so give the staff some patient if they dont seem to always know what your talking about. Prices are average other than that I cant say other than a little slow that I have any complaints about hungry hill auto so swing on over there and give them a try.
Honest and polite owners I’ve bought 2 cars from them one 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee for Great price and 2009 Chevy Malibu both times I got great deals no pressure to buy anything here and they will work with you on payments and paperwork highly recommend anyone looking for a cheap car you cannot beat the price and service this small dealership offers
Had a great experience with these guys; bought a 2006 Buick Lacrosse in November. 150,000 miles and Ive already put 5,000 more on it since. No issues and almost no corrosion under the wheel wells after over a decade of northern winters. Gave it to me for a great price, got the paperwork in order, transferred my plates for me from the old car and knew where to send me to finish up with the DMV. My family has bought a car from them on a separate occasion and were equally satisfied. Would definitely recommend (also they are a cash-only business so dont plan on financing).
I only looked them up for fun, but based on mileage, years & make, their prices seem very reasonable. If/when Im in the market for a different car, Ill definitely check them out!
We purchased a truck from Hungry Hill Auto. All were professional and courteous throughout the transaction. And, even AFTER the sale! We would definitely buy again there and have referred them to many looking to by an affordable used car or truck. Very nice people!!!
I bought a 2005 Malibu from Andrew. The car was clean, the mileage was low and the price was right. Before selling me the car, he put on a new set of brakes. His Grandmother assisted me in getting the car registered, driving me to the DMV to ensure a smooth transaction.Shortly after taking possession of the car, I drove it on several long distance trips, during my sons college selection process. He now has that car in Syracuse and it has ALWAYS been reliable and has NEVER required a repair. The next time Im in the market for a car, Hungry Hill Auto will be my first stop.
Great service Andrew fixed any issue I had before I purchased the car and even picked me up from my home to bring me to the shop to sign the paperwork called my insurance company and handled everything
My daugther and son were looking at a couple of different cars and decided to go with Hungry Hill auto. My son drove both cars. One was from a private sale. They did some research and this small suv was a better choice. Andrew did all the paper work and was very helpful. My daughter and I went to DMV. We didnt have to wait long. About 20 mins. We were done. Yes Grandpa you talk too much. But thats ok! Thanks Andrew!
Apparently they have to get a star which they do not deserve.. I purchased a car from them which broke down the day I brought it home it kerps having problems which are the same problems which they said isnt their problem. I wouldnt purchase a match box car from them the mechanic is rude and gets mad he has to do his job
BUYER BEWARE! I bought teal 2006 mercury Milan from them, they jerked me around with the price. Then once I took it home I made 35 miles from the dealer ship and the car got stuck in third gear. When I called them up they said its a normal characteristic of that year car. I took it back up to them to show them what it was doing. We took it to Bobs automatic transmission who said the car had bad valves in the transmission. The dealer wouldnt repair it so, I fought with them to get are money back. In the midstof arguing he told me he was going to sell the car to someone else that didnt drive on the highway, seeing as thats the only time the transmission acted up. The grandfather is very loud and obnoxious, he likes to talk over you and control the conversation. He is also very belligerentand nasty. Horrible experience with the whole deal. Do not do business with them. I had to become very rude and nasty to get any anything done with them. Avoid at all costs!
I made my first legitimate car purchase from this business. Ill admit I was new to the car buying experience (which is very stressful). I wasnt sure how to go among getting insurance, handling registration and DMV fees and all of that. But the owner Andrew brought ease and clarity to everything. There were times I was flooding him with questions and he responded promptly with all the right answers and never got annoyed. He was happy to help me out with the whole process! There was an issue with the exhaust almost a week after I made my purchase and by law he could of done nothing about it seeing as the car has over 100k miles. He was quick to resolve my problem without me having to come out of pocket for it. If you want to buy a car from someone who stands by their vehicles with integrity go to Andrew at Hungry Hill. He does everything in his power to make the process as simple as possible and instill value into his deals!
Please everyone be AWARE of this dealership, its a family owned buisness for a reason big time liars.. i bought a 2010 chevy impala from hungry hill 2 weeks ago and made the mistake of trusting them, andrew, the grandfather, and grandmother put on a really good show just get the cars sold.. i was told the car was show room condition, and the car only had one owner and that the impala came from a big dealership and was also told that if the car had any problems within the warranty that they would fix any problem with the car. When i got the car fax it was showed that it was owned by 2 different people and had got into an accident a month prior to when i bought it.. i brought the car to pep boys to get recommendations for the car and then i brought the car to andrew so him and his mechanic can fix the problems. They never did.. they kept jerking me around. They kept my car for 3 days in the same spot of their lot never putting it on the lift or even test driving the vehicle. Please do not buy anything from these people.. big time scammers.. i should have listened to the warning signs when andrews grandmother Secretary said that key bank no longer wanted to do buisness when them anymore because the bank felt like they were a suspicious buisness for only dealing in cash. So they has to find a new bank which is sunmark. If you do think about buying a car from here please get the car fax first so u can have a reasonable arguement with them and catch them in their lies. And also drive around the corner and you will see that they have a used tire shop and another shop connected to their dealership where they bring their uses cars to get inspected. Oh yeah and the mechanic Scotty is extremely rude and will argue with you about fixing your car..
Horrible experience wouldnt recommend them to any one. Bought a car from them, drove it home and the engine light came on. Brought it back because it was under warenty and they kept on band-aid-ing it until the warenty was over and telling me that I was over reacting that it was no big deal. They continued to jerk me around, not really fixing any thing just continuing to do temporary hack job fixes. The mechanic was rude and would argue with me that what was wrong with it wasent really what was wrong( my dads been a mechanic for over 15 years and he told me exactly what was wrong with it). Then when they finialy were going to fix it they told me to come in on Monday, come Monday I went to drop it off and they told me they werent fixing it. So now instead of letting them continue to jerk me around and wasting my time and gas going there a million times, I am just going to pay for the right parts and have my dad fix it.
Hungry Hill Auto sucks the people there are rude they take forever to do anything and the mechanic is LAZY!! I wouldnt even give them a full star but i have too.
Honest reliable
