Chris is one of the few remaining “real mechanics” in this area and is highly trustworthy and reliable. He is equally competent and experienced with older classic vehicles and modern cars with their complicated electrical systems. He has worked on my modern Audi S4 and other vehicles as well as helped me maintain and troubleshoot my 71’ Porsche 911, even as far as letting me borrow tools at times. His flexibility and willingness to do right by his customer is almost impossible to find in these modern times. Having extensive experience with the local Mercedes/Porsche/Audi/BMW dealerships, as well as another notable European Independent Specialist, I can say with confidence that you and your vehicle are in better hands with Chris. Through pure happenstance I came to find out that my father had his old Mercedes and Ferrari serviced at Chris’ father’s shop in Old Lyme, Connecticut fifty years ago. This was before the days of marble tiled corporate dealerships and they were the best shop north of Greenwich for exotic Italian and German cars. Judging by my father’s positive reviews of his experience from those days Chris must have learned something from his old man. You cannot go wrong with Chris Hall and will not find an equal service in Southern Maine.
