I needed a replacement glass shade for my bankers lamp which was cracked. Originally, it was matte white, and I wanted it either green or a Tiffany style. My lamp is old and very heavy, so I wanted an authentic, real glass shade, not plastic or an everyday type. I picked butterscotch and am happy with it because it sets the room off with the glowing color. I almost did not go with this website because the .nu scared me, but there was so much info that helped me pick the correct size, etc., that I was at ease after reading a few reviews. It arrived quickly as promised. I paid a fair price, but the packing was incredible and it arrived in tip top shape. The down side to my experience was, taking the lamp apart to install the shade! But it’s once again, a beautiful, working lamp that I’m proud to display! I will use them again for a unique lampshade for my living room.
These folks seemed helpful at first when the replacement globe I ordered didn’t fit my fixture, asking for pictures and saying they would research to find the right one. But weeks and months went by with no follow through. I promptly returned the ill-fitting globe and realized weeks later that I hadn’t received a refund. When I inquired about it, they said refunds take up to 3 weeks to go through and it had only been 7 business days since they received it (which seemed unusual since I mailed it over two weeks since this time, but maybe they have a hold up in processing). Finally last week, when it had been 41 business days (since they said they received it in late May) with no refund, I inquired again stating that I would report this as fraud to my credit card company if I didn’t see a refund by close of business today. Today there was a refund, less the exorbitant shipping I paid, less a 20% restocking fee (robbery), less the $14 I had to pay to ship the ill-fitting globe back. So, I still don’t have a replacement (they never bothered to find me one or communicate with me that they were unable to find it) and I’m out $33.75. I paid $33.75 for the trouble of dealing with this terrible company. Stay away.
I started with them back in January 30, 2020 calling long distance to look for a marbled replacement glass dome for our dining room. Strangely, after speaking with a lady, I was enthusiastic about getting some assistance with my endeavor. So, I emailed a picture of the replacement since she’d been given specific dimension in our conversation. She had mentioned following up with me in a week or so. Since some time had expired with no call back, I had sent a follow up email February 14, 2020 with hope of a response. But nothing to date. Yes, I understand since that time we have had the COVID-19 and/or stay at home order but would have thought a courtesy response. So today, I decide to attempt one more time by leaving a voice message with hopes of a call back. I hope maybe to see a change of heart?. Maybe they do not need out-of-state business recommendation? Since last follow up, still no response. Ill not revisit this place 🤔.
Ordered on line assuming company was in MA based on phone area code. Initial problem paying through PayPal then switched to credit card and order promptly placed and charged. Order arrived within 24 hours then realized company is just 10 minute drive away. Could have saved $22.75 shipping and visited store. Good service. Good product. Secure packaging. Highly recommended.
Ordered wrong size, so asked owner to check to see if they had the correct one for us and didn’t answer. I had sent photos to her and still no answer. Wrote again and still no reply. I filed a claim with PayPal and than the owner answered and was told I could return it. Paid $22.00 with 10.75 shipping but see on invoice they charge a restocking fee, plus I would be paying return shipping on top of all this. Don’t waste your time with this one man, or woman show! Not worth the bother plus how rude not to answer your custermers.
