If you love your lamp and need a shade, it is very hard to find a place like this around for lamp shades and they know it but be careful. They are not cheap and I ended up paying $86.00 for a lamp finial and didnt realize it a long time later, when I looked at my receipt. We bought a shade, had a lamp rewired and two finials so it kind of snuck in on me. I wanted to scream!! I think it was jade and I didnt know it. They should have been honest and told me before ringing me up.

Not cheap, but they can help rebuild or repair any lighting fixture.

Two years ago I brought in my very expensive floor lamp from NY because it stopped working. They fixed it for a very reasonable price. Recently it stopped working again, so I brought it in. I picked it up today. What was wrong with it? I wasnt putting the bulb in tightly enough. They had checked the lamp all over to make sure it worked. I took it home, put the bulb in very tightly and the lamp worked just fine. Heres the best part: they didnt charge me at all! I was stunned. They are honest and reputable. I will continue to use them. I highly recommend Joe-Lin Lampshades for service.

Bought a new shade for my girlfriend, a lamp nut. Didn’t know what I was doing but the staff at Joe-Lin was polite, patient and helpful. To make a long story short, my girlfriend loved the lamp shade and loved me too. Thanks guys! You turned a potential disaster into a victory!

I would give them no stars if that were a choice. DO NOT GO HERE unless you get every detail spelled out in advance! I asked them to rewire an old lamp (about 70 years old). I thought that meant to rewire the whole lamp. I was so wrong. They put a new cord on it, but did not rewire anything near the bulb socket; the old wires are still visible there. And, the problem with the new cord is that it is only 40 inches long. I mean, come on. The lamp used to be on the right hand side of a desk, with the plug on the left side of said desk. The new cord they put on doesnt even reach to the socket. I called and was told they put the same length on that was previously there. This is obviously not true. Also, when I was originally quoted on the phone, they told me it was $20 to rewire the lamp. When I went to pick it up, I learned that price is for labor only, without the cord, for which they charged me $10. (It is $1.98 online, and that is for a 6 foot cord.) That should have been quoted originally. $20 plus parts would have been honest and accurate. And a reasonable markup on parts would be nice, not 5 times the original cost. What I find amazing is that I will tell this story to all my friends, who will tell it to their friends when someone needs a lamp rewired. Bad press goes a long way, and in this case, it should.

Good selections. Lots of Finials. They do lamp repairs, however I found them to be to expensive. I bought lamps at a estate sale on the cheap and the shades were out of range for what I wanted to pay.

I recently brought them a new lamp in to be converted to a three way bulb socket. They broke it in pieces, glued it back together and passed it off, saying it arrived chipped, but once I got it home, saw the extent of the damage. They should have confessed to their mistake and I would have been understanding but to try to pass it off was unforgivable. As good as their selection is of lampshades, I will never go back there again.
