Absolutely loved this find. Frank is a gem from Staten Island, so he’s a true Italian who knows the struggle of finding good Italian food down here, so he took it upon himself to provide amazing Italian food with an amazing, friendly attitude. He made me feel like I was back home (something I truly miss) with the delicious smells, and all the imported food and ingredients from NY and Italy. Definitely recommend coming here for some of the most delicious Italian bread you can find, and the best Italian hospitality too! Thank you frank!

Called before going to inquire. Still no masks = less business. Shameful to not protect staff, customers & the community. Will only give business to those who care enough about others to make the right decision. Stay away if you care about your health & others. Check out Angelos in Venice. Everything is delicious with friendly staff. Well worth the drive & masks required for staff and customers. Ciao. ****Reply to response from business: Why no justification for no masks? I would suggest you consult the CDC website to educate yourself on transmission of this deadly virus as it relates to surfaces vs human contact. It appears your no masks decision may be based lack of knowledge. An informed & educated decision is the best decision for all concerned. Especially your staff who may not have the option to not work in this environment. Unlike customers like myself and others posting similar recent reviews who do have the option to not put ourselves & others we care for at risk. A wonderful array of Italian Delicacies, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the owner Frank its just the best. His homemade meatballs are to-die-for and their Italian subs are delicious cant wait to go back and try out more of their offerings. This place is a must!

They judged me for my murder robe...but the food was amazing and they took my eccentric style in stride.

I have been going to Casa Italia for over 20 years. I loved going there and talking with Nita and Raj. Casa Italia was sold this year and I am sad to say that after today I won’t go back. No one had a mask on and the store didn’t require shoppers to wear one. I asked the gentleman waiting on me why he didn’t have a mask on. He said the store was in the county and it isn’t required. Also he said he wanted to be comfortable while working. I told him I was an Operating room nurse for 35 years and that wearing a mask is easy. I will miss their delicious cheeses, pasta and olive oils. Bye Casa Italia.

Great place to stop and get a bite to eat for lunch, bottle of wine, or special something for at home that you cannot get anywhere else.

This is a nice locally owned store with a decent selection of packaged and prepared speciality foods, the staff and owner are friendly, but some items can get a little pricey.

I miss the fine italian delis from up north. If u are.in need of a good authentic italian deli with fresh made delights and full meals to go. Its a must stop. Aside from a great selection of italian ingredients for your own creations they also have italian treats like Toryone soft nougat bars.

Nice surprise in Sarasota...genoa salami that was not boars head for a change..and for Florida one of the best loafs of bread i have had.

After going to Casa Italia since we moved here in 1993, Im sad to say that I will never be going back. Apparently there is new ownership and masks are not required for staff or customers.We asked the guy behind the counter if he was going to put on a mask and he said nope. We said goodbyeBTW the store had no customers at 4pm today......

This is one of those family owned markets that has great service, freshly made sandwiches, quality meats & cheeses, homemade pitted olives that can’t be beat, special meals made fresh for Friday’s, wine, fresh bread and that’s just part of what they offer!! It’s a small business in Sarasota that draws customers from West Bradenton. Check it out, it’s worth the trip!!

Do yourself a favor and visit this market. I go to Casa Italia to buy their mixed olives. They are the best. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The store has a nice selection of Italian specialties. (But the olives are to die for. The owners crack each one so the flavor goes throughout the olive.)

We love Casa Italia! Owners are very sweet and fantastic cooks. We usually order the Indian dishes during the week and pick them up on Fridays. Such a treat...buy extra for left overs :-) I must confess it is the best indian food Ive ever had, homemade and fresh. We are so fortunate to live close by Casa Italia. There is a great selection of cheeses, olives and frozen homemade raviolis. And if you like olive oil, you must try the Sicilian EVOO IL Novello 274th, very special.

Visited the store on 9/16 midday and NO ONE was wearing masks. What a poor business decision. Please avoid if you care about your health.

The best selection of Italian food in Sarasota!

Havent had lasagna like that in 30 years!!! When i was a young man, I ate home cooked lasagna and Italian food with a large Italian family. I have never had Italian food made that way again in this country, until my wife brought me home Nitas Italian lasagna. Tasted exactly like Teresas! I cant wait to have more and to try her other ready made Italian dishes.

Always the best in products. And people there are really nice. This time I only got the Italian wedding cookies and OMG they are good.

Extremely long wait, very loud noises, messed up 2/4 meals, food has little to no taste only from the tiny scoop of parmesan cheese, very small portions, music was nice :)

Great store, great people that own the store, every time i leave the store i leave with a smile, plus they have so much to pick from, and for the JERK that gave one star, he is just that a jerk, nothing about this store is one star, the one downfall is that it is on a street you can miss this great store, but if it was on a main street they would not be able to keep up because they would be so busy making all that good stuff, right now i am think i should take a trip to get some good stuff, i live 30 miles from the store but used to live around the corner, plus wine tasting event, if you are in the area stop by, you will be happy you did.

Casa Italia is an outstanding resource for a vast array of imported Italian foods. We also get their Indian food every Friday and they make the best Italian sub Ive ever had!

The most fantastic and unique eggplant parmesian Ive ever had. I was a little hesitant at first as it is breadcrumb free...now Im absolutely addicted to it and would not have it any other way! Sandwiches are made to order and absolutely delicious!

They are so friendly here! On my husbands birthday I surprised him with sandwiches and wine from here. The caprese sandwiches were delicious! I went back another day and discovered dark chocolate with limoncello flavor! My new favorite thing.
