One of my favorite shops on St Armands. Awesome selection of olive oils, spreads, pastas, tapas items and cocktail elements. They have a little bit of everything. What I love is they have items that you just don’t see everywhere else. The staff is amazing! Knowledgeable, fun and Friendly!!! A must go.

The numerous variety of vinegars they had blew my mind. If you could dream up a flavor they most likely have it. The Lavender is absolutely wonderful and pairs with many ranges of foods. Making it my personal mission to try as many as possible.

Another olive oil/ vinaiger store. If thats what youre looking for, its fine but these are everywhere.

The clerk inside was very friendly. We bought granola and Soberdough beer bread mix. We had the beer bread tonight for our supper and it is fantastic. They have tons of olive oil. Lots of gourmet food. Reasonably priced. Loved it!

The Ancient Olive has so much to offer and I always look forward to stopping in here. Deborah provides phenomenal customer service. She shares vast knowledge on each and every product and truly believes everything is of the most exceptional taste and quality. There is an outstanding selection of olive oils which are the best I have ever had. The gourmet food, wine and chocolate inventory is hand selected and it shows as these products are all excellent. Make sure you don’t leave St. Armands circle without shopping at the Ancient Olive.

Many Many great options... walked in and found some great finds!! Lots of fresh spreads, sauces and oils ... definitely would recommend popping in here ! Wish they had one back where I live ! Prices are fair and have Many size options for your budget

Beautiful Olive oil store at the side of St. Armands circle, with lots of selections of gourmet vinegars, cheese, meats and others. We bought a Wisconsin Foenegreek gouda that is to die for! The chutneys and sauces are unique and some are Gluten free!. The owner or manager was so nice! It was a lovely experience to shop here.

Great staff who are very knowledgeable in all the products sold. We left with a bag-full of goodies and a couple handwritten recipes. ❤ this place!!

WOW!! What can I say that will be enough? Terri is a wonderful shop keeper! So personable and kind! We stopped in during the phase 1 of reopening to support our local shops. Everything was beautiful, clean and all safety measures in place.Now onto to the selection! They have everything from gourmet wine and cheese to of course olives and olive oil but so much more! I ended up purchasing some pastas, soups and risotto along with jam. They have beautiful olive wood cutting boards and other kitchen gifts that’s are unique! Everything is very reasonably priced. Husband had to pull me out of the shop. Definitely stop in, ask for Terri and you won’t be disappointed! Thank you Terri! We will be back ASAP and we will be bringing friends!

RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!I’m disappointed to stop in this store in St Armands Circle and first of all not get greeted, then my sister was reading a price aloud only to get scolded by worker that it’s wrong price and they wrote it wrong, like it’s our fault. And seriously, it was Panettone, not like it was a thousand dollar item . Never honored the price ...then she and another worker were loud in doing their inventory instead of talking to us about their store . While we were in there another couple came in and they were greeted and offered samples . I’d like to think I was dressed appropriately, so not sure why the sales person was like that .I actually wanted to buy several things in there to take back home from vacation to take home to my dad who is from Sicily and would have enjoyed the items, but because of the service I didn’t .

Lovely little shop selling a variety of specialty goods from Italy, fresh olive oil, and the lime. I actually managed to find Crema di Pistachio here which made me so incredibly happy.

Best gift place ever for that person who is so hard to buy for!! I came in with my own basket to put together a gift. The staff went above and beyond to help me find the right items, and Joel even took all the price stickers off and put it all together for me in a basket. Sweet service like this is so rare these days. I will definitely be back!

If you have not been in the store you must stop by. It is truly an experience! The owner, Terri is so welcoming and knowledgeable. The variety of vinegar, oils, jams, and other savory items is amazing. They also have a selection of wines to complete your purchase. This is a hidden Sarasota treasure. I look forward to stopping by again soon.

Great place

Walked in today trying to spend some money on olive oil and was asked to leave as we didn’t have masks..... should have seen the signs outside before entering in hindsight but one of them clearly stated they would provide a mask. Lady that asked us to leave didn’t offer said masks and missed out on additional sales for the day. I went next door and bought the first five things i saw

Wow beyond amazing! Get the blood orange olive oil and chocolate balsamic vinegar....YUMMMM! The staff is so nice and knowledgeable and cant wait to visit again!

This is such a wonderful place. They are very sanitary during covid and you can still participate in tastings before your purchase.

Yummy. Yummy. Olives and vinegars. All can be tasted. Even mixed and tasted. Excellent prices. Bottled in store. The lady let my kids watch...so cool. I go every time i go to Fla. Always bring home at least 4 bottles. The garlic infused olive oil is my fave.

I visited The Ancient Olive in Sarasota at St Armands Circle this weekend and thought it was a wonderful store. Lots and lots of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. There were also cheeses, chocolates and plenty of samples. Many kitchen items as well. Hopefully Terri is working when you visit, she is delightful!

Ancient Olive Gourmet Store is a delightful place to shop for cooking ingredients, house gifts, and to sample new tastes. Guided by Big T (for little Terry), we spent a delightful hour of shopping, tasting, and chatting. Of course, we ended up buying a lot more than we had planned. But we had so much fun doing it.

Get the lemon olives. Yum.

Great store, enjoyed loads of samples and Terri (with an I!!) was brilliant - could have made a good comedy duo! Superb products thank you.

Ive been to the other Ancient Olives around Florida. The selection is always great. The lady running this store was very nice. She gave tips of which olive oil goes with what and what to avoid. She was very responsive to our questions. There were also items other than olive oil.

Under new management this year. Nice selection of olive oil and vinegar and many specialty items from olives and pickles to mustard and sauces. Even some wines. Staff was very helpful, plenty of free tastes. Convenient location. Prices a little high but comparable.

Excellent knowledge by the staff, free samples were great, and he was very helpful in discussing what recipes he used the oils in. He even stayed after close to make sure we had what we needed and check us out.
