I purchased a 2003 Thunderbird from Classic Cars of Sarasota. Kayla was very helpful with additional questions I had even though I called on a Sunday. I settled on a price with Chris, the owner and arranged to have the car shipped by a third party from Florida to Michigan. When it arrived the shipper had left the hardtop at the dealership so I had the car, but not the top for it. Chris looked into shipping and could not find a company that would guarantee delivery of the odd shaped top. He ended up driving his own vehicle to Michigan and delivering the top himself! The car and top were in perfect shape when I received them. I would definitely recommend Chris and employees!

I bought a 1966 Corvette that Chris had on consignment in January.After negotiations with the owner through Chris we came to an agreement on the price. There were several issues with the car that Chris assured me were an easy fix. Because of the agreed upon price the owner wanted it sold as is.I took the chance and bought the car as is and Chris fixed the defects.When I went to pay him for the repairs there was no charge. He fixed everything for free!!!Who does that anymore.And to top it off he’s storing the car at his facility for 2 months for free until I get back home and have it shipped to me.I’ve been back to see Chris a number of times since the sale was complete to pick his brain about the car and he always gives me time and answers all my questions.I’ve bought a lot of cars through the years but I’ve never dealt with better guys than Chris and his son. They are a class act.I’m always cautious to recommend anyone or anything because it can always go sideways. But I won’t hesitate to ever recommend them.He and his staff are great people.

I recently purchased a 2017 Corvette sight unseen from this dealership. I was a little hesitant at first (due to seeing online scams) but CJ and Kayla made me comfortable with the process and walked me through everything including shipping of the car. CJ even held the car a week for me without a deposit!The only minor snag was the title arrived a couple days later than expected but with COVID this isnt a big deal and was expected. Everything else went well with no issues and everybody I spoke with was extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable.Their shipping company is top notch and did not put a single mile, or scratch on the car. I would not hesitate to use this company in the future and am extremely satisfied with the service I received.

First class operation, Chris has sold three cars for me in the last year. One of the cars he sold in four days, he’s got all the connections and knows all the right people, gets tons of exposure and has a great reputation. We sold Chris the owner of Classic Cars A 1962 Corvette and they tried to extort money from us on ebay..They have a pattern of extorting at least 10 other sellers on ebay that we know of...They have good reviews for selling cars, but at the cost of ripping off sellers.

What a easy and awesome experience!!! I just recently dropped off my 59 corvette for sell and Chriss team made this process enjoyable. First of all, they have a top of the line facility and operation that gives you the best opportunity for exposure to sell your car. Chris, his son and Kayla are all very knowledgeable, they walk you through to process and answer any questions you may have. It was a big deal for me to feel comfortable with trusting an individual to sell my classic car and they have not disappointed up to this point!! They have a great inventory and most likely once my cars sells I wont be able to leave the building without driving something else home from their building!

I bought a truck from this business. The truck had a bracket on the front of the truck in the pics and in the video that Chris sent me. When the truck arrived at my location, after I purchased it, the bracket was missing. I asked Chris about it, numerous times, he said he would get it to me. I waited a few weeks and called again, Chris said Kayle mailed it that Friday. Its going on 4 weeks since he told me that and still no bracket. I realize its only a bracket, but it belongs on my truck, which was also on the truck when I purchased it. Now I call, text and email and they completely ignore my communications, which in my eyes is very unprofessional, and a little dishonest. Chris also failed to disclose a few things wrong with the truck, but I suppose thats on me considering I bought it without actually go there to inspect it, again, a little dishonest on his part. These people taught me a lesson, that I will never buy from them again, let alone I will not recommend this company.

Chris was great to work with. I was hired to find an excellent 63 Corvette by a high profile buyer. Chris held the car for me until I could get down to Sarasota and then he had it on a lift ready for inspection. Before I came down, he sent pictures and described the car. Overall, Id say his evaluation of the car was honest and complete. Im still glad I inspected the car but based on his candid review of it, I didnt actually have to.

This Corvette is the fourth car I’ve purchased from Chris..His knowledge and advice are priceless..He’s the owner, but not afraid to answer the phone to solve any problems which may arise..And we all know, 50 year old cars may have an issue or two !!!

Disappointed in Chris thought he was a man of his word. He has told me on numerous occasions he would fulfill what he told me. We made a trade I got a 67 Chevelle before it was delivered I asked Chris to confirm that the rear seat belts were in place. He assured me that they were there. After car was delivered I took out the back seat and no belts. I informed Chris and he said he would get and even thought he had some in shop and send to me. He sent me a photo of 2 belts he purchased on ebay. When we talked again I asked about the 3rd belt and hardware. He said he got an email from seller and said it was 3 belts and hardware. I got 2 belts and no hardware. In further conversations he told me he would get another belt and hardware and send . Still waiting and apparently he said not sending any through his assistant.

So searching online for a 2010 Camaro I came across Classic Cars of Sarasota and found what looked like everything I wanted and some(Check their SOLD listings and see the burgundy 2010!) They said it was like new condition but since Im in NY and theyre in Florida I was relying on their word and and all the pics and videos they supplied me. Everyone there: CJ my salesman, the owner Chris and Kayla assured me it was like brand new. So I took a huge gamble and they delivered! Car was beautiful just as they described it. The whole transaction was painless and CJ was awesome! Im really happy and my friends are stunned because the price was amazing too. 5 stars highly recommend!

Called in on a Wednesday afternoon to get information about the process of getting our 1955 Studebaker restored.The call lasted all of 42 seconds because the woman who answered the phone could not get me off the line quick enough. Upon her greeting of Classic Cars of Sarasota I briefly stated how we had a 55 Studebaker that we were looking to get restored before she abruptly interrupted me to just let me know they had a 6-month waiting period. I asked for information on the process of being added to the wait list and she said, word for word, call back in 6 months for service and literally hung up on me before I could even respond appropriately.Im familiar with cars and how the process goes. Ive had a few cars restored like my 92 Corvette which Ive brought to Roccos Collision and had nothing but 5-star service. I called a few other shops that day and not once was I treated the way like I was when I called here. There is absolutely no way I would ever spend money at a place like this after that experience, and honestly, its just unfortunate it happened because this was my leading choice for getting our car fixed.Not any more.**EDIT**In no way did I ask for a quickie service. Like I said, I understand how the process goes and we were willing to wait any time for our car to be worked on, but you wouldnt know that since the call only lasted 42 seconds.Your response-back alone proves how unintelligent you are.. I now understand why your Facebook reviews are at 3 stars and dropping, Im definitely not the first person to experience this and I know I absolutely wont be the last. Its laughable that you think your the areas #1 location when its clear to see your service is nose-diving.Save your time and money folk, dont waste your time here.**EDIT 2**What do you mean no one will look at my car? You know absolutely nothing about the situation. My experience here was nothing short of awesome. I first contacted Chris to inquire about a car on the website, and after another phone call, set up an appointment to view the car. When I arrived, the car was on a lift so it was very easy to view the frame and the entire underneath of the car. He showed me how to tell that the engine was original, and how the numbers matched to the title. I was extremely impressed with the restored condition of the vehicle, considering the car was 48 years old. The description of the car on the website was 100% accurate and honest. Chris was very polite and allowed me and my wife to take the car for a long test drive. After agreeing to purchase the car, Chris introduced us to Kayla who handled all of the paperwork promptly and accurately. The title arrived in the mail, exactly when she said it would. I cant wait to return there as soon as I can afford to expand my collection. The entire experience exceeded my highest expectations.

Very bad experience with this dealer. The video that was presented about the car I was interested in purchasing, was not even close to the actual car I saw. I traveled to FL to take a look, after Chris told me over the phone, that the car was in excellent condition. When I arrived at his shop, I had to wait over an hour to drive the car. Once I drove it, I figured why he was not in a big hurry to allow me to drive the car. The transmission was bad, two of the windows did not roll down, and it was leaking transmission fluid every where. Chris totally misrepresented the condition of the car in the video. He never mentioned anything about the transmission, windows. I felt, I wasted time and travel money for nothing. Chris is a very dishonest dealer. Dont buy a car from him just from his photos/videos, go see for yourself.

I was there in July 2016 after seeing a promotion video for a car online and they were very friendly and helpful. I was able to see all the cars they had and when I wanted to see more of a Corvette parked in the back row and they got it out for me. It was no problem to do a quick round with it and get it on a car lift so I could see beneath it. I bought the Corvette and they were very helpful with the transaction and the shipment. BUT if you ship to Europe dont use Schumacher Cargo - that was awful.

Ive had the pleasure of consigning 3 vehicles to Classic Cars of Sarasota. Each consignment resulted in a successful sale. Moreover, the people here take care of everything, from registration/or title in my case to prompt payment after the sale. I had some service issues on one of my vehicles and these folks worked above and beyond to get things in working order. Bottom line, I cant say enough about my experience with Classic Cars of Sarasota.......in my opinion, theyre the best!!

I purchased a 1956 Ford Pickup in cash from Classic Cars of Sarasota. I have had many problems with this company and purchase since it was made. When I initially purchased the vehicle, I was told many things were going to be fixed on it so that it would be perfect and ready to go when it was delivered to me, which was a huge lie and it was not fixed at all! I was told that the hood was going to be fixed and they did not fix it and I cannot find the hinges for that specific hood anywhere. I purchased a steering column from them that was supposed to be installed into the vehicle and when my mechanic checked it out, there were wires hanging all over the place and the lights were not working because of the wires all over the place. While my mechanic was trying to fix the mess of a steering column job that they did, the Dakota digital dash stopped working. Also, when I put the car into park it goes into reverse and starts going backwards. I have tried more than 6 times to get a hold of someone at this place. I called and the person who answered the phone and took a message said that they will have the owner Chris’s son, Junior, get back to me as soon as possible and I waited a week and then two weeks and never heard anything back from this company. When I bought this vehicle, they said they would fix all of this stuff and that was an outright lie and such a disgrace to deal with such a horrible company like Classic Cars of Sarasota.

Chris, was great, he took time with me to talk about my project, not just give me a price and walk away. We spent almost 1.5 hours looking at examples of work he has done, and work he inherited to fix. Money would be well spent at this shop.

I will not go into too many details, because I had so many problems with Chris and his lies that it would take too long to list them all.In a nut shell, I bought a 1965 Mustang for $25,000 which was expensive at the time, but I though I was getting a fully restored car. Which was what I was told. It was not.What I actually got was a car that had dangerous faults, lots of other smaller faults and which broke down the first time I drove it, when the engine nearly boiled itself. When I tried to resolve some of the issues they simply didnt care. I bought the car unseen (a big mistake) but I was living in the UK so travel was not really an option.The car arrived with flat and ripped tyre sidewalls, no working temp gauge, headlights, horn, taillights nor turn signals. All of the ball joints were dangerously worn. The brakes were out of limit. The radiator was blocked and the car overheated. The water pump and power steering pump were both leaking, etc etc; the list was endless.Please dont buy from these people without seeing the actual car youre buying and make sure that everything actually works, and that you drive it. Do not trust the fancy walk around videos as I did, because it may not be a true representation of the car you will get. To be honest I think if I had gone to see the car first they may have resolved some of the faults or were planning to do this, but as I was in the UK with no comeback they probably just sent the car as is. After all, what could I do once the car was 1000 miles away in a different country?Please please buyer beware. Chris will not speak to you on the phone once the car is sold. He never once got back to me or returned any of my calls. Instead he got his staff to do all the running round., He was always either busy or out or whatever. In reality he was just avoiding me. The car clubs in the UK have all been warned about this company@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@I have just read their posted response (below) after my initial post. Again more lies and typical of this business.For the buyers and reviewers on here. I was a genuine customer of this business in the UK so how could I be competition? I bought the mustang in 2018. Bought a 59 caddy, gas tank was patched and began leaking within 10 days (never told about it), transmission seals were shot, leaks must have been cleaned up daily, brakes failed (wheel cylinders) after 30 days. A/C was supposed to work, never did. Buyers, take your own mechanic and be sure to have the car put on a lift and take your time inspecting!

I deove 3 hours from Ft.Lauderdale to see a car basrd on what Chris told me it was. When I got there it was nothing like he described in quality. A complete waste of 6 hours on a Sarurday . Knowledge is power, educate yourself before you buy so a guy like this doesnt misrepresent a car and take your money.

The staff were very helpful and everything that was described or stated about the vehicle was entirely accurate and the vehicle far exceeded my expectations. They even arranged shipping. When we walked in after there was an auction here in December, we met Keith and Chris. We were interested in a 67 Chevelle and were told it was a full restoration. Chris said it was his car, and we examined the car. After thinking about it and going back a week later, Keith rode with us on a test drive. A few days later we went back and put down a deposit on the car. Chis told us hed put a Sold sign on the car and even store it for us free of charge until we could trailer it home in the spring. My husband spoke with Keith several times in the next few weeks, and this past week my husband called twice to tell them we were coming in to finalize the deal. We didnt get a call back, so drove there yesterday. Imagine our surprise when Kayla told us she had sold the car! She didnt reply to my question of when, but told us that Keith had been fired. Chris then came out and told us all the bad stuff that happened with Keith, and agreed to refund our deposit. We both thought everyone here were honest people, but we dont appreciate the shoddy treatment. And we didnt even get an Im sorry from Chris or Kayla. BIG lack of integrity at Classic Cars of Sarasota!

Classic Cars of Sarasota did their job. I just purchased a 68 Plymouth GTX for my father who had one back in the day.
