We were looking for a very specific stacked stone for our outdoor kitchen and the staff at Florida Design Works was very helpful. They also suggested a reputable installer and the final result turned out great. Thanks for all the help!

Hilarious experience.Walked into Florida Design Works with my wife after working out and thus looked very “casual” (as did my spouse). Met a very, very, pleasant designer who helped us search for feature wall tiles. We found a few options, one of which was incredibly special. As we attempted to get details on the tile, another designer looked at us briefly, turned, and dismissively stated; “do not bother it’s at least $160 square foot”.She may have been having a bad day (it happens) and or attempting to be helpful, but it certainly did not come across as a constructive comment nor handled well. Do not wish the establishment any ill will, but do not think we will return.PS - we can/could afford the tile.

Run don’t walk. Our kitchen remodel has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. Because I had hoped Design Works would do the right thing, I have held off on leaving this review. Everyone deserves a chance to make things right. This company is not interested in doing the right thing. Here’s our story.... after engaging a very reputable kitchen cabinet company and having some serious sticker shock, our contractor convinced us to give design works a shot. The difference in cost was significant and with the reassurance of the contractor, my husband and I literally high fives ourselves in our thrill of “saving” “thousands of dollars”..... flash forward.... our “gently distressed glazed cabinets” were installed and looked like a giraffe, or maybe pepper was everywhere? I literally sat down and cried. I’m not sure how Design Works thought it was a good idea to install cabinets that were clearly beaten to death, but I was instantly assured that they would replace the doors. It seems as though the person tasked with distressing was brand new and clearly thought swinging an instrument all over the cabinets made them “distressed. Within two days I received a phone call asking me to “just take a look” at the original door that was “refinished” to avoid THEIR financial loss replacing the doors entirely. To be fair the sample looked amazing. Being a business person myself, I felt compassion for them and after MUCH reassurance, looking at each other eye to eye, I agreed to go with their “fix”. The irony being that I felt bad for Design Works and their owner. I thought it was wrong for them to lose money if they could make it “right”. The joke’s on me. I am completely embarrassed to leave this review because I truly thought we had “been there, done that” and something like this could never happen to us after all of our life experiences. Our kitchen cabinets are hung completely uneven from the ceiling to the floors. Door handles are not only uneven, but spaced unevenly apart. Toe kicks are missing. Shelves are missing. Handles are missing. Panels are bowed. Appliances are missing panels. Our moldings are a hack job - I’m pretty sure my son could have done a better job on his first day in wood shop class. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, some cabinets have the ORIGINAL finish and some have their “fix”. All of our cabinets have blemishes. I have repeatedly requested they clean them so that we may determine what’s a finish issue and what is simply dirty glue and grout residual - they have not. After weeks of meeting with their team, countless hours, no shows etc.. and countless excuses as to why the owner, Mr. Kaufman, as well as Design Works can’t commit as to if they - or can they?? - fix a 6 digit hack job - I feel the need to warn ANYONE who entertains the idea of doing business with them. Rather than make our kitchen right they imposed a lien on our house. We have never in our life not paid our bills our been involved in a lawsuit. As if all of the above isn’t enough to push a homeowner to the brink of insanity, they destroyed my newly refinished hardwood floors. We now have to move out of our house AGAIN so that our floors can be refinished. I have owned 12 homes and remodeled 6 over the course of thirty years. This is, BY FAR, the worse company I’ve ever done business with. Once again, RUN don’t walk. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worse enemy.

I went there after my contractor kept getting 3-4 week delays on our counter top from Lowes.I went to Florida Design Works and Paul showed me the same stone. My wife decided she wanted another color and I sent Paul an email with the new color and he immediately knew the color and had it in stock. Lowes and Home Depot have to buy their tops from a stone supplier who can cut them to specs. Florida Design Works has not only a large selection of all types of stones but can get any stone available plus they cut it to the customers specs and install it. I am so pleased with Paul and Florida Design Works.
