10 days after i went there for water pump thermostat, AC compressor is not working. R they related?Sep 10: estimate 375. I authorized replacement of harmonic balancer.Sep 11/2020 paid 382.23Sep 12 i found one estimate on Google of 200. Their price is 90% higher.Other estimate is 266 for mobile mechanic. Ie their price is 45%.Hopefully increased charges are justified by quality part and labor.

This shop dealt with us honestly, and that really means something as we are new in the area and have out of state plates. But we got a fair deal, and friendly service from each of the employees we spoke with. The price we paid is consistent with what others charge for the same job (we looked into it) and we’re happy with the work done.

I live right by this place never had a chance to use them until a couple days ago, my alternator went out on my Wife’s 2008 Malibu. I’ve changed alternators before but this one looked pretty difficult to get to like it was under the motor. I dropped it off Friday afternoon they diagnose the problem right then. they are closed Saturdays and Sundays it was done Monday by 12:00.. Great people got us back on the road in no time I’m excited to get my 95 impala SS up there and get some upgrades done

I love these guys. This garage is honest, quick and down to earth. I went in for a break light replacement and the mechanic was so nice; they did it in under 45 mins and when I came to collect the car he pointed out that another bulb had gone and hed replaced it for me too! Ive had bad experiences with patronizing and dishonest mechanics at other shops, and these guys restored my faith: so trustworthy and dependable. I highly recommend.

They do great work. I believe their pricing is fair as well. I trust them which is a nice change from the last place I used to use.

Im usually weary of car shops because if you go in for an oil change, you come out with an additional $300 for other service they suggest that one must get.At Swift Auto Repair, you can feel assured that they mean what they say and do. My car runs perfectly since their service, and they even worked with the warranty/insurance company to make sure that the correct balances were covered.Go here for some good old fashioned one-to-one service!

I have never been disappointed since I found them @30 years ago and taken them a progression of challenging, aged cars. Had my wife take her car to this shop because we had heard good things. They diagnosed the problem correctly but wanted to charge her $800 for the repair. When she called me to talk about it, the price lowered to $500. I purchased the part online for $134 (tax and shipping) and it took less then 5 minutes to replace myself. I have no problem with shops making an honest buck, but when the price went from $800 to $500 we smelled a rat.Buyer beware!

I have been going to Swift for a couple of years now. I own an 8 year old benz that is quite expensive to do repairs on. I have always been treated well by the staff. Great service, great people and quite a bit cheaper than the dealership! Thanks for keeping me safe.

I used to take my cars there before married. Always perfect, always about 1/2 what I would have paid elsewhere. Such great guys, father Charlie, and son Jeff.Just talked my husband into taking our 65 Mustang to them because, back in the day, the father and son had owned beautiful classic cars. Son, Jeff still there and still the owner.Horrible experience. Charged us $900, then $100, had to bring it back 3 times, carburetor still doesnt work and the final slap is they broke the horn. When asked just to repair the horn, the owner Jeff said to my husband: Well thats your word against mine. Really? to a customer who just spent that much for you to repair a mechanically basic car? What a nightmare.I dont know what happened, but the place used to be packed with cars. Not anymore. I sure can see why. Dont know what the guy has going on, but it sure is sad.

Amazing crew- honest, fair and friendly. They do top quality work for less than many of the more stingy auto repair shops in Sarasota. When I hand them my keys I can trust them to have my back.

The only honest people I have found around the area, which is a lot to say in a world of scammers, one after the other. Very good at diagnosing.I stopped going there because I learned some basics, invested in tools and started working on my cars. Also felt bad to bring them my car just for oil changes once I found out that shops make no money with oil changes. But if theres something I cant diagnose, Ill be going back to them again.

They were true professionals, they troubleshot an electrical issue that i could not find and walked me through what was wrong. Unfortunately they had to replace my ECM. They were very fair with their labor rates and had it ready to go sooner than expected.Very Very Pleased!

My friend took her van in to get a new back door handle, they came back with an exorbitant price of 400.00, because she chose to pick up her van and not pay the ridiculous price, they left her handle completely taken apart and didnt even bother to put it back together! not cool and not the way to do business. If your a woman and go there-BEWARE!!!!!!

Darrell, So sorry that you had this experience. Im glad we diagnosed it correctly, and for free which you wont find anywhere else lol! Id rather have it that way than to have a dissatisfied customer, as they are few and far between. That being said, mistakes do happen. Weve been here for 35+ years and think very highly of our reputation and have to say that this is the first time that I cannot explain why, outside of the fact that there must have been more we were recommending than just the MAF sensor, or the computer pricing was way off. Again, I as an owner, greatly apologize and will look into the details. Wayne

Best and most honest place in town!

Brought 2005 Kia Sorento in to evaluate and repair coolant leak discovered (or caused) by another shop (est. $360).Within an hour, got call about the problem (cracked heater hose and connector) and a couple other things that needed attention (hood latch).Picked up and received bill that was $100 less than other shop! Mechanic showed me the broken part, and gave me a run-down on suggested maintenance (timing belt replacement).We have found our auto repair facility!
