This shop is the real deal for clocks! Larry, the owner, is absolutely awesome. This gentleman knows his clocks. I took a cuckoo clock to this store and told Larry what I needed. He stayed past closing time to repair my clock! You just don’t see that in business anymore. GREAT experience with this shop. Highly recommend it.

This is an amazing shop, a must see in Sarasota. Ive never seen such an incredible collection of beautifully restored antique clocks. This place could be a museum. If you love old clocks you could easily spend hours here.I recently inherited an antique gingerbread clock thats been in our family for generations. The clock didnt work and I (foolishly) tried to fix it. I completely botched the job, all the clockworks fell apart. A total disaster. I was heartbroken.I brought the clock to Larry at the Antique Clock Emporium for repair. He referred it to his long time clock repair and restoration expert William. About a month or so later I got the clock back in perfect working order and restored better than Ive ever seen it. William went above and beyond. He even restored the original stencil pattern (hand painted) on the glass front panel of the clock that had completely worn away.These guys have a passion for antique clocks, take great pride in their work and clearly love what they do. I highly recommend Larry and William for all your antique clock needs.

Your repair of the figures was very well done, and the restoration of the music box to again play Silent Night perfect. You even improved the sound by placing a small wooden board by the instrument!

Antique Clock Emporium is one of the coolest shops I ever been to in my entire life. Such an incredible collection of antique clocks. Larry is a true expert and his passion for his work is so evident. He took the time to walk me through his shop and give me a backstory on a variety of his novelty pieces. If you are looking for an antique clock in Sarasota, this is the only place you should go.

This pre WW I 400 day clock had not worked in over 30 years and Larry and his repair crew not only got it cleaned up but got it running as well. Larry had never seen a clock like this but was able to instruct me on all the intricacies of the movements, the way to adjust the clocks speed and how and when one should wind a 400 day clock.I highly recommend him not only for his repairs but also for his wealth of knowledge about all things clock related.

I always enjoy visiting Larry and his extensive clock collection. What a joy to see such artistry and hear from someone who clearly loves what he does and hopes you will feel the same. The first time a friend and I stopped by last summer, we were there for at least 45 minutes in his small store (which has a bounty of clocks). There is so much to learn and see. What a fantastic antique clock store. Larry knows everything about all of his large collection of clocks. I took my grandmothers antique gingerbread clock as it hasnt ran in years. I inherited it so i wanted to hear it chime again. I took it in on Saturday and Larry fixed it in no time at all. However when I brought it home I had problems on Sunday. So I emailed him expecting to hear back from him on Tuesday during his regular store hours. But he sent me his phone number and said to call him. Remember it is Sunday. He was kind enough to walk me through what i needed to do to make some minor adjustments. Great person who loves clocks and wants to share his knowledge. If you love clocks, you need to visit his store.

When an antique clock shop is able to hold the attention of 10 and 13 year old boys for over an hour you know its incredible. Owner, Larry, knows every little detail about each clock in the shop. My sons were mesmerized and we left with a plethora of knowledge. LOVED IT!

We visited The Clock Emporium on a recent vacation to Sarasota. Our interest was peaked on an earlier trip this year just by a quick glance through the windows. We knew then we would definitely put it on the list of things to do when we returned. It was clear that within a few steps inside, we were captivated. Of all the internet searches and the usual scavenging into so called antique shops, we had hit the motherload of exquisite artful timepieces.We were met by a friendly gentleman named Larry, who was very informed and knowledgeable about each clock we were interested in. However I was in such awe and dreamy wonderland, I do not recall specifically his words, just WOW what a collection! Well it was odvious we would leave with a find that day, and a FIND we did.We are owners of a beautiful french porcelain clock with matching vases with an amazing experience to accompany it. This clock will mark time as a reminder of our explorations that week in Sarasota, on an ordinary day that became extraordinary.Thank you Larry for a lifelong memory!
