I took my vehicle to Kal and Sons to have my windshield replaced on 04/14/21. I shopped around and they were the cheapest shop I could find in my area. They charged me $225.00 to replace my windshield. I was in and out in about 45 minutes and they were friendly. That night I noticed the weatherstripping around the windshield was peeling up. I called Kal the next morning and he proceeded to tell me that was normal and couldnt be helped. He seemed to be in a hurry to get me off the phone. You get what you pay for.I took it to another shop who said they would pull the stripping off and replace it. When they pulled the weatherstripping of, they noticed the windshield hadnt been properly sealed all the way around. When they pulled the windshield of to reseal it, they discovered that Kal and Sons had tried to hide extensive rust damage along the lip of the frame by putting putty in the rust holes instead of sanding it down and properly sealing it. The putty that was used was not the proper material. The glass shop I took it to has been in Sonoma County for over 20 years and said this was not industry standard. Thankfully the other glass company I took it to was honest and completed the job that Kal and Sons botched. I should have taken it somewhere else in the first place.Steer clear of this shop and take your vehicle somewhere else otherwise it may cost you more in the future like it did me. Their warranty is only as good as the piece of paper its printed on and with workmanship like this and an inability to accept criticism without lashing out at a customer, its pretty much worthless. Kal was amazing. Someone smashed our window out on our rental car and Kal had the window ordered immediately. It took less than an hour and the service was amazing. Kal was fantastic and very professional. I recommend him highly!

This guy is great! Hes replaced two windshields, and hung a mirror when my sons fell off (forget the DYI. Its worthless). I brought an issue to him, he checked it out-thoroughly- and charged me nothing?

I love mom and pop businesses! Kal & Son is a good, old time, honest to the handshake kind of place. One of my taxi vehicles was broken into and I needed to get that car back out on the road. The front passenger window was shattered and needed to be replaced. Kal quickly took my vehicle in, installed the window and got it back to me in a day. I didnt even realize that the mess from the shattered window was still strewn all over the front seats and some of the back seats. Without mentioning it, Kal had it all cleaned up and ready for me on arrival. The price was totally reasonable and we talked for a bit about business. Super nice folks!

I went in for a chip repair on my windshield. They were very quick to help me. I was in and out in about 20 minutes! They did a great job on the fix too.

After seeing what the Subaru dealer wanted to charge to replace the windshield on my 2017 Outback, I called Kal, and am very happy that I did! He gave me a quote, we set a time, the installation went flawlessly, and bonus-my lane departure feature wasnt changed even a teensy bit! Dropped it off, went to breakfast, and came back to perfection! Ill use them from now on for any glass issues I might have with my cars, even though they are a 18 mile drive away!

Dropped in to have a crack looked at to see if it could be repaired. The owner, Kal, came out to inspect it and ended up being able to repair it in under 15 minutes. Very pleased that I didnt have to come back a different day for an appointment. Customer service was great and prices were extremely fair. Highly recommend.

Weve had to replace our windshield a number of times (thanks East Bay and thousands of work trucks). Kal quoted me quickly AND his very fair initial quote included all taxes right away. There were no hidden taxes or fees upon pick up. He was able to get us in quickly and replace the windshield in a couple of hours, as he promised. The shop was very busy and yet he was able to stick to the timeline. Courteous and calm at a busy time too. I also liked his website. It seems like a great family business...clearly SF Giants fans 😀

Great overall experience! Fast, easy, quality work, and affordable. Kal did a great job with my car’s windshield and my girlfriend’s side window. Kal was extra accommodating with my girlfriend’s car since it was raining at the time and let her keep the car at the shop while her window arrived.

1/15/20 Just had Kahl & son replace windshield. This is a wonderful business. Karl was admirably detailed in every stage of the planning, calling twice to inform me that two replacements were scratched and that a suitable one was coming from San Francisco the next day. His price for the work was very significantly lower than an online quote I had received from another supplier. I also heard another customer note that the price for his repair was much lower than another quote he had received. Install was done with an hour. Great business. Nice people.

Picked up the phone promptly and was able to see me and luckily had a window in stock. Very good work ethic and quality. Got out in a little under 40 minutes. Do not hesitate to see them. I highly recommend Kal and Son auto glass to anyone needing to replace a windshield. When my windshield needed to be replaced I called several glass companies and all of the quotes were close to $400. I went with Kal and Son because the quote he gave me was half the price of anyone else so I hired him based on affordability. Not only was the price excellent, so was the service. Kal came to my home, made the repair quickly, did a great job, and was super friendly. Great price and great service....cant ask for more than that!

I had a Honda Civic Hybrid 2008 which had a leak. I went to many individual some of whom said change the rubber, change the windshield. However, when I got to him, he spent 45 min and found the original fault, and of no charge. Others were incorrect. He was straight-forward and of very good character. If he did not know something, He referred me to the right person. I cannot describe his good character morals through words.

I cant say enough good things about Kal & Son. After 2 appointments with Safelight to no avail I gave up and searched for local relief. I would happily recommend Kal & Son for your glass needs. We made one appointment & he had my new Windshield in and looking beautiful in about an hour. A bonus is you can walk across the street and meander through Harbor Freight & Restore while theyre working on your car. If you want to hang out they have a nice book exchange to keep you occupied.

Great Price, Super Nice, & they replaced my windshield in under an hour! Kal is such a nice guy, I cant recommend him enough. To start, I had recently gotten a new windshield installed from a different place down the way and truthfully, it wasnt the most pleasant experience. I went on a trip down South shortly after and unfortunately came home with ANOTHER cracked windshield! Rocks seem to like my car... When I finally came around to getting it replaced.... again.... something I really didnt want to have to do... working with Kal was a great choice. They made the process much easier to deal with AND I didnt even need to leave my house!! My last auto glass repair / replacement experience was over 5 years ago and to say the least I went to the purple building auto glass repair and found the experience a little less then friendly and more assertive then what I would have expected. Kal is a life saver.We had the misfortune of a rock hitting our windshield (rental car) while being in California for a wedding.Already being stressed with wedding events, and now the terror of dealing with the insurance company, we decided to take a chance at fixing the window ourselves.We by chance came across Kal’s info on google, and called him up. Very bad experience with these people! They broke my car door!!!! And it cost me more to fix then the window repair. I dont not recommend this place at all he would not admit that he broke it!!!! He kept saying there was glas stuck in there. Which was not trueno he riped the parte off the door. 😩😡

Talked to the owner about repairs to my Jeep windows, received an estimate, made an appointment, showed up only to be told repair guys were out (did I mention I had made an appointment) and the remaining individual had never done such a repair. Come back later they said. Then they decided they couldnt do the repair at all, sorry. Save yourself the trouble, go to Advanced Auto Glass.
