I’ve used this location in the past and the staff have always been very friendly. However the last three oil changes the waits have been very long. This last time I showed up for my scheduled appointment and was informed that despite me making a reservation (online at least 3 days in advance) and coming at that time, they couldn’t get to me for at least another two hours and were too busy. What’s the point of making an appointment?!

Wife & I were passing through Santa Fe and were in desperate need of the U-Joints needing to be replaced on our Land Cruiser. Marshall & his team to care of us within the same day. Our truck ran smoothly all the way back to Birmingham, AL. Would highly recommend this garage as the they were very honest and they do good work. -Ashton

I got a $1300 + quoteWhen apparently all I needed was a brake fluid flush. They were nice but thats not what stands out to me when I think of this place. Buyer beware here.

These guys were amazing, took me in with four ruined brakes, literally metal on metal. Im in the middle of a trip pulling a trailer, they replace all four brakes, the works, on the same day,,,,, and then came in under the original quoted price because they found a part was unnecessary. The manager could have kept that to himself, and had the extra money, but he passed the savings on to me. This is a great shop! How often can you say, “I trust these guys “ after one experience, I’m telling you: I trust these guys!

Great service and polite staff. I trust them every time with maintenancing my car. Also I never have a problem after they have finished services performed. Id never go any place else.

Always courteous, always helpful, very reasonable prices. Staff will alert you if your car needs further maintenance, will explain in detail, but will never resort to a hard sell.

Currently on vacation and destroyed my brakes coming down the San Juan Mountain. Needed brake pads replaced on the front and rotors/pads on the rear. The manager, Francisco, did everything he could to help save me money on the job. I normally replace my own rotors/pads but thats not possibe while on vacation. I feel very good about what I was charged and know for certain that the repairs were valid. This is an honest shop and Francisco truly wants to help his customers. You should have your repairs done here; youll be treated fairly. Good luck.

With my experience it didnt deserve a star at all, but Cisco made a way with his dedication and professionalism to make it a 5 star review. I was told that the part I needed for my vehicle would arrive by the end of the week therefore I was instructed to be at the shop before 7:30am so by open time (7:30) my car can right away be worked on. I was first in line that day, was told that the part never arrived. I had my infant with me not knowing the mess that came along unfortunately. Cisco did everything to make sure the part would arrive that same day & have my car fixed. Granted my car wasnt fixed till after 1pm. Im thankful that he made my car & situation a priority to fix even though it wasnt his fault for what happened. His work deserves to be noticed.

Friendly, honest folks. Had a great experience here taking my car for a second opinion. They took me out to the garage and did a walk through with me. Unable to find anything wrong, they sent me on my way free of charge when they could have easily lied and agreed with the first shop to take on the job.

I walked in and asked for oil changes on both my vehicles and the temp worker with a bad hip and a silver goatee told me he couldnt help me without an appointment. They had one car in the bay and nothing else. I went back after talking to the manager, Marshal. He took care of me and after twenty some years in the business he assured me that this would not happen again. I left my car with him for an oil change and he stayed in communication with me till it was done.

Strange not to mention completely absurd for a well known business.Absolutely by far the worst experience I’ve had. $878 dollars later my vehicle is still overheating, an employee was caught by my hidden camera stealing jumper cables along w/ other misc tools and fuses, electrical tape etc - to make repairs if an emergency would arise. I had locked these items in the back of my vehicle in a compartment in the trunk. This guy had no business at all and went completely out of his way in doing so. Since the repairs had nothing to do with anything located in the trunk of my SUV. I was having overheating issues all located at the front of my vehicle. He intentionally went looking to see what he could get his grimy hands on, to steal from a customer, wow! I was avoiding confrontation with BreakMasters until I cooled off a bit In order to be able to hold a professional conversation. I was livid upon my discovery. Taking advantage of the fact that I’m a woman I think they assumed they could overcharge me and get away with it. Because I’m a girl, and probably don’t know much about cars. Blah blah well guess again. A female I am an idiot I AM NOT in fact after shelling out an insane amount of money for a job not well done. I ended up having to take upon changing out my own thermostat and flush my own radiator out. Due to their negligence and thieving. And my being in a hurry and rushing from work. Aside from that, these are customary steps any normal mechanic with 1/2 a brain would’ve done upon working on any vehicle w/ overheating issues. Common sense is not always common. To make matters worse the final icing on the cake was the convo I had with the gentleman on the phone I’ll be nice and not mention any names. Anyway this fellow had the nerve to ask me what store I took my vehicle to and when my vehicle had been there. Omg it’s only been 2 days and he acted like he had no clue who I was or what I was talking about until I told him I had video footage from my hidden cam. Then he said he would have to find out who worked on my vehicle and get back to me. When I asked him why I was charged over $300 in labor for a 15-20 min job he stumbled telling me the computer set the labor fee at 2.5 hours. To replace a thermostat housing. Give me a break NO WAY. Meanwhile the saga goes on. I can’t believe the unprofessionalism and complete inability of providing customer service. I will be seeking legal actions toward these frauds as well as contacting BBB and the AG filing complaints. I’m going to stand up for any and all others these guys have tried taken for fools. I’m wondering how many other ppl have been burned by this place. Unbelievable very disappointed I used to love the moral and work ethics these folks had 6yrs ago. Was my go to shop. Times gone by and I moved away for about that long (6 yrs) and recently moved back home. Guess a lot more has changed than I’d hoped for...not in a good way🥺😢😏😶👎

Got the work I needed done but never called me when my car was ready so I wound up missing a whole day of work just waiting when I could of gone in for a few hours if they called me when my car was ready.

I don’t know if I’ve ever been somewhere this reliable. These guys have your back. For some of us it’s easy to feel like your getting shafted by auto mechanics. Never did I once feel this way from Brakemasters. Their customer service and professionalism is legit. I highly recommend this place for all of your auto care needs.

Discount Tire gave me a card for this shop advertising wheel alignments for half price. So I drove there on Friday and made an appointment for Monday. When I showed up I was told three other people had the same appointment time. I went across the street to have lunch where every once in awhile I could look to see if my car was on the rack. Never saw that happen. When I went back I was told they couldnt do the alignment because my control arms were shot and they handed me an estimate for $800. Now feeling very skeptical about Brake Masters, I called Jons Alignment. He got me in right at the scheduled time. He aligned all 4 wheels and told me everything was tight and in good shape...good to go for $80. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Brake Masters.

My service experience at this facility was terrible. I paid a large amount to have a oil leak fixed. It was a small one and I was told to fix the multiple leaks from the oil I need a new pan. I changed the oil and brought the vehicle home only to find the leak was 5x worse. I took it back and they could not do anything to fix the leak that was far worst now. Of course they discovered a radiator leak telling me that it was not oil that was leaking. I have been a loyal costumer and have taken my vehicle for years to have oil changed and even have recommended others to have car work done here. I am so dissatisfied with what was done to my vehicle and how much I paid to have a problem become worse and how dishonest they were. I WILL NEVER RETUREN TO HAVE ANY WORK DONE HERE AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.. STAY AWAY. Poor costumer service

Had a water pump going bad, commuting to/from abq. At 4:30pm came in and had James review the leak, determined it was the water pump. They were so pleasant and efficient; they let the engine cool, identified the leak, and although they could not fix it that evening, they topped off with a gallon of antifreeze so that I could get back to abq. Outstanding commitment to the customer!

Im a mechanic, just no time to do things for my self anymore. Had an emergency with truck took it to brack masters, and with in an hour and a half had truck back.and since I do know the cost and what it takes do what they did. Im happy to say that the price was more than fair and the work was excellent.

I wouldnt trust this place. I got my truck towed here to have them do diagnostic. they told me i needed a whole new engine. I got my truck towed to my house in abq. that cost me about 300. I looked at it myself and found out it was a 60 dollar part. i could have done that work in the parking lot. it would have saved me 240 dollars. If i had let them work on my truck it would have cost me 3000 dollars and the truck still wouldnt be able to start. because that was not the problem. they would probably still be working on it.

These guys are great. The dealership tried to get me to spend $500 on brakes but instead I had them checked here at Brake Masters. Theyre fine! They even let me know that I would need new tires before my road trip to Vegas, and didnt charge me for the rotation I came in for because of that fact.

We made an appointment which is supposed to mean our car gets priority, but after 3 hours they hadn’t even looked at the car to see what it needed. So we wasted an afternoon and still need to get brakes and an oil change elsewhere.

Fast and professional service. I was there to check and install brakes but the mechanic said i dont need it right now, instead they recommended brake fluid flush and it worked. My brakes apply much better after the flush. Thank you for honest advice and good prices.

These guys are super efficient and very honest in a most negatively viewed field. They have put lights on for me for free. Be a little careful that they dont torque your oil filter too tight because nobody wants to handle that kind of liability outside the location where the oil change was originally done.

This is by far one of the best mechanical service institutes in Santa Fe. They treat me great, provide fast quality service, and are always friendly. Today I brought my car in with no appointment they had three services ahead of me but made sure to put mine on the side and work on it as they could getting me out of here within 30 minutes.

The service wasnt the best. I called to make an appointment and they said they could take me in 30 then hung up. So I go there and they tell me my car is going to now be an hour. Walked to whole foods got a beer, no biggie, two hours later I walked back and my car still wasnt done. I was pretty upset but they gave me a $10 coupon and didnt pressure me into taking a survey, so that was cool. They did a good job on my car as well.

This place really went above & beyond to help us! We were from out of town and had serious brake issues and just drove in to their place on a Saturday. They got us in and worked 4 hours on our vehicle. We did have to leave our vehicle there due a part not available til Monday but they got it fixed right away & kept the cost as low as possible. They even helped with a ride for our friend who then drove our vehicle home to Wisconsin. Really great group of honest & hard working people here!

They did all my drum breaks with supplied parts, then got me back in without appointment to fix my starter when it went bad.Accomodated me very well for not planning any of it.Glad they were right across from my hotel the Sage Inn also. Made an appointment for brake pad replacement. Left my car for three hours. Never got a call. When I finally called, was told they couldnt find the wheel lock (which I had left for them) and so they hadnt done anything. Thanks for wasting my day off work. Takeaway - go somewhere professional and dont waste your time.

Break Masters shop is a mess. I had a very expensive complete front end and rear break jod done. They forgot to flush and change the break fluid, and did not lubricate the armature that holds and controls the break pads .... dangerous for future break operation. This was discovered 4 days later, when another shop rotated and balanced my tires. I had to go back to Break Masters to get the job completed properly. Customers Beware ..... I was lucky to have someone check their work soon after they messed the job up.

Im from out of town and the radiator went in my vehicle. I showed up at Brake Masters at opening time (7:30 AM) and Nelson brought my vehicle in found that the parts were available and Chris started working immediately. They were done by 2:30PM! Awesome!

Went in about 2 weeks ago to get an alignment done. They told me they could not do it because our back axle was bent. Come to find out we have no back axle, its just a bar in the back. We have a front axle. We had it looked at again at firestone. The problem was our front right bearing. Please take your vehicle elsewhere. These people have no clue what they are doing.

Okay. I dont do reviews too often but when I do its either because of horrific customer service or extremely, out of the ordinary, examplenary service. This was well beyond going out of your way type of service.Both our cars were being worked on at different locations. Time was of the essence because the other shop was closing soon and I couldnt find someone to give me a ride to pick up my car. The store manager, William Lujan, let me, a complete stranger, borrow his truck to go pick up my keys so I could get my car at a later time. We had two of our little children and he accomadated them by putting on cartoons. It has been a very very long time since I have received this type of service. Sir, you are one kind hearted individual. May God bless you and your family.

I stopped in here on my way through town with a brake squeal. They took apart front and rear brakes, cleaned everything, and told me that although I was a bit low on one rotor, mostly it was fine, just dust under the pads, and I could continue safely home. No charge!! They could have told me anything but they were honest, professional and friendly. If I lived near Santa Fe, Id get all my work done here. Thanks!!

Garbage Garage!Took my truck for a simple oil change, I was told it would be 2 1/2 hours. 3 hours later and no call to update me, my truck was still parked in the same spot... untouched. Waste of my time.

After being so loyal to this place, this will be the last time I ever go back. I went to replace my front struts and when I went to go pick up my car the bumper was hanging and seemed like they just pulled it when they replaced the struts. The guards by the tires were hanging and had no clips. To me it sounds like they pulled everything with out properly unbolting it. Chris a technician was extremely annoyed and said I guess we can try and fix it. Will the manager on duty didnt seem to care and said it was my fault when I pulled it in. Its my fault because their equipment. After waiting there for them to resolve the issue Will said he would get the missing clips. What about my bumper that was yanked and now has to be pushed up for it to clip! If you want carelessness with your vehicle this is the place to go, otherwise I would recommend going somewhere else. Like I said last time I will be going there.

For years mechanics have told me I had to get my AC recharged once a year or so and for years theyve been doing it, taking my money and wasting my time waiting. This Brakemasters has changed, though: I went in as usual, ready to fork over my annual payment for an AC recharge, and he informed me that ACs never need to be recharged unless they are leaking. He said if my AC was working, I didnt need anything done to it. That kind of honesty and integrity was refreshing and so welcome. Thank you!

After being a loyal customer for several years, I am NOT going back to this business. I took my car in to replace the water pump. After several hours being in the shop, they decided that they were not going to replace the water pump. I took my car to another shop for a second opinion and they saw that the bolt that holds the fan in place was stripped. I took my car back to Brake Masters so that they could fix the problem they caused, they denied ever touching the engine and Will the manager said he was NOT responsible for anything. So now I have to pay extra money to fix the problem they caused. NEVER GOING BACK!

What a mess this place is. Brought my car in for a full-service oil change, which clearly states that it includes the oil change, inspection and tire rotation. These geniuses had my vehicle for three hours and when I go to pick it up, they said they didnt rotate the tires. Their brilliant manager -- William Lujan -- said they dont do tire rotations unless asked even though ITS LISTED AS WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A FULL-SERVICE OIL CHANGE. When asked how a customer is supposed to know to ask when ITS LISTED AS INCLUDED IN A FULL-SERVICE OIL CHANGE, the monkey scratched his head and grunted. Theres enough oil change places in Santa Fe to avoid this place. If these idiots cant figure out to just do whats on a check list without asking, just imagine what else theyre missing.

Not sure how to rate this place. The head guy at the computer is not very familiar with how it works. I had a 9 am appointment and they took me in at 10:15. I had a coupon for $89 for brakes. It ended up being $247. Hmmm.

They tried to tell me that a certain part had to be replaced when I had already had that specific part plus the whole suspension inspected and wanted to charge me 1000 dollars what ripoffs

One of the worst experiences ever.they installed pads that fit but were made of the wrong material and i was almost involved in a severe accident.i just replaced my pads with the correct material type and got my money back.they are in to much of a hurry to get the job done to do it correctly. i also had a friend who worked their and told me many things about how shoddy they were but i didnt listen to him at the time and i really should have
