Easily My favorite lumber yard in town. Contractor sales team will go above and beyond to assist in big projects all while staying competitively priced. Very friendly and helpful staff in the yard as well as at the registers. A+ team and products at big Creek Santa Cruz.

Its local, like to support it. Im sure their lumber is great, but dropped in for some hardware and plumbing items and selection small. Not being local, it would have been nice if clerk had suggested Plumbing supply across the street for items they didnt carry, but maybe she assumed everyone would know about that

Im giving the fives to the two girls that work up front but the older gentleman that works out front with them hes quick spoken and little rude doesnt seem to want to give you the time of day...

Worst service I have every experience, I arrive at 10:45 am and one other customer was being help in the lumber area. I would give a zero if available. Another employee was getting his lunch and called for help, and no one showed. Finally the employee that was getting his lunch at 10:45, decided he could help me with one item. I ask where the other items I needed and he pointed over there. Sorry that us not helpful, meanwhile another customer was help and I still have not received any more assistance. Therefore I removed the wood in truck and drove over to Home Depot and San Lorenzo lumber and spent my $1250 for lumber. This has happen to me before at the Soquel Avenue store and at this time I will never set foot in Big Creek Lumber ever again, local or no store. Give your employees some proper customer training!
