They have a greeter now. However that is absolutely all she did was to say hi Im your greeter. Seemed very bizarre and when I and another customer asked for some help she asked us to move out of the way in a nasty manner!!! Truly odd behavior and not helpful in any way.Instead of paying a GREETER to be rude to the customers, how about spending your money on getting more staff that knows what its doing? Now that would be helpful.

Excellent customer service especially for such youthful staff! I appreciate that they carry products that Home Depot does not have. The only drawback are the store hours. They close far too early for working people.

I was disappointed by the lack of knowledge from several employees. I needed a full propane tank to purchase and there were several new tanks stacked at the door. The employee greeting customers was clueless about if they were filled. It took questions to two other employees to figure out that they were not filled and they had no filled propane tanks for sale. When inquiring about how to get a tank filled, they were again perplexed. I was highly disappointed with the lack of knowledge and assistance. I expect more from an Ace.

Ive been using two coupons all the time at checkout via my app, Ive even called Ace and asked if you can use two and they said yes, then I called the store branch and they say you can only use one and the system wont even allow you to use two well thats a lie because Ive been using two for the last 2 years so why are you lying to me all of a sudden and why wont you write down in writing how many coupons youre allowed to use this is ridiculous.

Still open and serving the community. I couldn’t enter without a mask (rightly so), but was served from the front door. I was extremely well advised in the products i was looking for. Whole experience was much easier and quicker than looking for the items myself. Well done!

They had the kind of products I needed very good shovels and also some holiday bulbs which I installed

A fine hardware store. Physically smaller than the big box hardware stores, but with more helpfully folks, and a they carry a broader range of stuff. But by necessity, they stock fewer of each product. There prices are also a bit higher than the big hardware stores as well. On this day I needed 10 of an unusual bit of hardware. It turned out each Ace store stocked only two, so I did a tour of all 5 Ace stores in my area. I got my stuff in an afternoon rather than days or weeks from the internet. This location is smaller and has little lumber or pipe available.

Excellent service. The owner took time to help me with an electrical conversion for a issuse I had for adapting a plug on my new dryer. Also was near half the cost of Home Depot.

Not the ideal place to shop... Brought a wet/ dry vac didnt use it because it didnt have enough power. Took it back then find out No returns of tools and mixed paint

Like the store. Its small and has essential needs. The people are friendly and helpful (not like other hardware stores where you have to look around for a long time to find someone for help). After the closure of Orchard and Sears in the area, this is one of the few smaller hardware stores still left. You can park right in front of it. They immediately open another register when there are more than 2 people in line.

I really like Ace Hardware. They have so much stuff jammed in there you will find what you need. Shopping on the weekend, it was hard to find a parking spot. But it was worth it. Everybodys very helpful.

Good nice people on staff when you are patient with them. They get questions all day long. Very helpful. Bought a drill. Needed to return it. Couldnt get cash back, which is stupid. Could only get in-store credit, which we had to spend IMMEDIATELY. Made no sense. Bad return policy on power tools.

Ace True Value in Santa Cruz has been an almost perfect lil hardwares store for me. As small of a store 🏬 they are, they have the perfect selection. Not too much of one thing or lacking in something else. They have always had the time. They’ve repeatedly had the right selection of screws.The staff has always been outstanding. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this hardware store for a first look

This is a small, neighborhood hardware store. They usually have the hardware, screws, paint, tools, whatever. The people that work there are helpful, but are trained to watch the store like hawks. Its a funny feeling being watched as if a criminal, but I understand they get shoplifters and lose a good amount of merch.

They will profile you. I stopped going there. They made me feel like a completely un-human. I got to the cash register. They made me take out my Id and told me that is not me. And she called the manager, he said I didnt need to check it that I was a great custermer and that she should of known this. That year alone I spent almost 200,000 grand. Stupid dumb whover employees . I go to Ace by my work on mission. Good luck. And to think it used to be my favorite Ace .

They treat everyone under the age of 40 like criminals, following you around the store incessantly; and cant get out of there fast enough at closing, to the point that shopping is nearly impossible because of how hard they hound you. Either go to the Ace on the Westside, or Osh.
