You would think that a vendor who has been doing business for many years would learn that customers do not like surprises--especially price surprises.I phoned to check on the availability of a particular glazing caulk and was told they did not have it in stock and would have to order it. I said please do order me a tube. When I went to pick it up I was shocked to find that they wanted $25.44 + tax for a tube of caulk I bought at The Skylight Place for exactly $8 + tax. The owner claimed it was a special order and involved this huge surcharge.I would think that any competent store owner would want to avoid misunderstandings and surprises for their customers. Why the heck would they not have alerted me at the time I asked them to get me a tube that they were going to tack on shipping costs that were twice the cost of the caulk?WHAT REALLY GALLED ME WAS THE TOTAL UNWILLINGNESS OF THE OWNER TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER for not having made me aware in advance that they were going to hit me with such a terrific charge. Then, they held hostage a cabinet door they were glazing until I paid for the caulk, AND THEY MADE ME PAY IN CASH. TOTALLY UNCOMPROMISING & COMBATIVE. I cannot imagine how they stay in business. A MOST UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE.

In January of 2015 Classic Glass was paid $300 cash deposit to repair/replace a la.rge insulated picture window on Bay Street. He demanded further payment claiming it was going to be an expensive job. I paid $750 additional and expected the window to be repaired within 14 days. It is now April 24, 2015 and nothing has been done and the Home Owners Association has been on me since early March, claiming the boarded up picture window makes the home look like a slum. Each visit to Classic Glass is met with David (presumably the owner) telling me its being made at this moment and that it will take about a week more. I have heard that since the first week in March. The window is still awaiting replacement/repair. Several weeks ago I asked for my money back so that another glass company could be paid to do the job as soon as possible. Davidof categorically refused to give me one red cent, claiming he would send me a check as he had no time to make one out while I was in the shop. No money has been refunded and its been over a month since. UPDATE: It is now June 18, 2015 and I have yet to receive a repair to the broken window OR a refund.

Job took much longer then expected. Window moulding looks bad. Said it was rust but the moulding is too small. And no warranty on insurance work.. only gave 2 stars because the windshield was hard to find.

They periodically change the glass on our wood burning stove door, over many years, and hardly a price hike. My experience has alway been, fair price. My only expectation, met.

David is trouble. Dont make the mistake of using this business. My shower enclosure was leaking into the wall due to faulty installation by classic glass.David said he would send someone over to check it. Never did after asking three or four, times. It was very obvious he had no intention of doing anyting about it.Called another glass shop who removed the shower door, saw and fixed the problem. I was told the installation was faulty. It does not leak anymore.David is trouble. Stay away. The other peoples complaints sound in line with my terrible experiance with David.

Do not bring your car here. Did not offer that the windshield would need a new gasket and trim. Does not look right. Get it done right the first time someplace else.
