Donald is exceptional! I live in Texas and was trying to surprise a friend staying in Santa Barbara for her birthday who LOVES Key Lime Pie! I called to see if I could order a last minute pie with no luck from multiple bakeries in the Santa Barbara area.Donald not only whipped up a fresh one for me, he even delivered it to my friends hotel! I am so grateful for his kindness and willingness to accommodate my requests.The surprise would not have been possible without him! His customer service was impeccable and if his pies are half as good as his care, you are in for a REAL TREAT! Maaaaaaan. Those were some good pancakes. Pineapple with toasted coconut. I never would have thought of this combination but it works so well. Came with real maple syrup. Cinnamon rolls were great also but the pancakes were next level.

This coffee shop offers some of the greatest coffee you can get, and it has a fantastic flavor, no doubt about it. You wont be far from a freshly brewed coffee because the place is amazing. You are free to invite all of your friends here. They will undoubtedly enjoy it!

A slice of heaven! The staff is really nice. I had the infamous cinnamon roll, and it was absolutely wonderful, probably the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had in my life. It was warmed, and drizzled with the delicious sugary syrup. Every bite was delectable. Lots of seating indoor as well as outdoor in their cute little garden. If you’re ever having a bad day, this is the place :) Can’t wait to return.

Love this place! The BEST cinnamon rolls, great coffee, and delicious breakfast entrees. Plus, the staff are really nice, the inside is adorable, and there is a cute back patio with plenty of outdoor seating. The parking lot is small but you should be able to find near by street parking pretty easily, except maybe during the farmers market. Its totally worth walking a few blocks though 😊

I had a bit of free time in Santa Barbara and had a craving for a cinnamon roll. Thought I would try Recipes Bakery. The cinnamon roll was so delicious plus the coffee was awesome. Service was great and such a cute place. Now I know where to come when I am in town.

I really love this coffee shop because they have everything that I wanted, and its amazing because the staffs are so friendly and attentive.

Small breakfast/brunch place thats pretty good, but kind of overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food. Nothing was bad really, and the cinnamon roll French toast was really good. The biscuit was okay but really dry and ho-hum. The banana bread was fine, but needed something else to be worth the priceAlso, we were the only ones there and our order took like 25 minutes.Id go back for the cinnamon roll French toast, but not much else.

I love getting my coffee and pastries from Recipes before I go to the Farmersmarket on Saturday mornings. Always of quality and good customer service.

Food and coffee are good, but man is the service slow! You order and wait outside for a good 15-20 minutes for food. I know its made fresh, but theres got to be a better way.

Do not waste your money, stopped for coffee and the so called famous cinnamon roll... NOT worth it! The place is run down and GOD only knows when the chair cushions were washed, if EVER! Stains all over them, curtains dirty, YUCK! The menu is over priced, 15 BUX for pancakes!

You cant review Recipes Bakery and not comment on the cinnamon rolls. They are the best!! They are warm, soft, not too sweet and so good. Plus, the ingredients are high quality and organic.The coffee? Yes, its organic and Im told it is a custom bean/roast from a supplier in Australia. It will not disappoint!They also have a fantastic gluten free granola and other gluten free options which are great. I have also had their made-to-order quiche for parties and it is always a huge hit.Top quality ingredients that taste phenomenal. What else could you want?

Recipes has the best cinnamon rolls in town (on Saturdays they have orange cinnamon rolls which are even better). Theyve got great breakfasts and coffee, too. If youre looking for something truly special then get their Vienna Coffee. Its sweet cream on top of a piping latte and its hands down my favorite caffeinated drink.Its also got an open kitchen so you can see whats going on behind the counter. This house-turned-bakery and its incredibly personable staff make you feel like youre eating breakfast in someones home. One of the hidden gems of Santa Barbara to say the least.

Went in to today and tried the cinnamon rolls which were delicious as promised by the kind person attending me. Also have an interesting little breakfast type menu which I have yet to try but would love an excuse to update this to 5 stars! Check it out interesting and cool little spot.

The best Donuts shop in the area. Luckys does raised donuts much like the old Winchells Donuts use to make them light, airy, and not greasy tasting most of the time. They are fancier and bigger donuts out there but none have the taste & silky vanilla glaze of Recipes Bakery.

I spied this little bakery while driving up Santa Barbara Street. I made a special trip back to order a lemon meringue pie and it was beautiful and tasty -- on the sweeter side with a crispy crust. I recently moved here from the Bay Area where I used to get my lemon meringue pies from Draegers in Menlo Park and this pie was just as good, if not better...

Recipes Bakery is our absolute favorite place for a cappuccino and their blueberry goat cheese muffin. Their pie’s are to die for. The lemon meringue or key lime pie is the best in Santa Barbara.

Service was so so. No one spoke to us for the first 30 seconds or so. The food (french toast) tasted quite bland. My daughter said she enjoyed her cinnamon roll. Over priced, scrambled egg was $6, each order. Wont be going back, except maybe for a cinnamon roll.

We frequent traveling to Australia, so when we saw Australian style coffee...well we had to try! We loved it! My Mocha was awesome with their homemade cream...no sugar needed for me. Longblack for hubby...he LOVED his coffee. Rich and strong! My poached egg breaky wasnt as good...but alright. Cinnamon rolls were fresh baked sweet, gooy, and big...my husband loved them. We will return. Five stars for coffee!
