What a lovely location! They serve a wide variety of coffees and pastries. These are all quite reasonable prices, which I appreciate. Kodus also visits all of the staff to ensure that their clients are being taken care of. They went above and beyond to make me happy and to make my stay so memorable. Thank you so much, and please continue your wonderful job.
This place displeases me deeply. Food is decent, service is terrible, don’t answer their phone and don’t have the full menu for online orders. This is my first review of any restaurant/ cafe/ bar you name it. I made an account specifically to write this, place does not deserve anyone’s business. Do me a favor and go to Dune, light house, Starbucks, French press, jeanines, pigeon, cajè, natural cafe, shoreline, crush cakes, savoy, literally ask a homeless person to brew ur coffee and it will be better… this is a promise.
We got coffee here daily while visiting the area from out of town. We also tried their sandwiches which were good. Well definitely be back next time we visit the area.
What I loved: the friendly chatter with the fellows behind the coffee bar. They told me about Stumptown coffee and why they chose it. They explained their Rose latte and other beverage choices and were patient while I figured it out.
Daily Grind has a great selection of foods. I recommend the breakfast burrito. Its full so I usually only get that. I wish that they displayed the times on the building itself. Other then that its a great place for a quick bit to eat.
Delicious, high quality coffee and espresso, also tons of baked goods! Great place to stop if you’re near the mission or the natural history museum!
Just found out they take online orders. Makes it easy to get your food even when theres a sudden surge in people
Always good coffee as well as an ample food selection.plenty of tasty pastry choices with the raspberry scone my favorite.
While waiting for my husband at an appointment, I decided to try this place for coffee since it was close by. Its been here for years but I have never tried it. They had a great selection of goodies, most notably their muffin selection. They also had wonderful looking croissants and scones so big that four people could split it. I decided on the pecan muffin, GOOD CHOICE! Very tasty muffin filled with pecans and gooey with something sticky👍all over it. The hot chocolate was really good too. It didnt taste like the typical box stuff. If it was, they certainly did it right! The only downer to my visit was the young man waiting on me. I can only say he didnt feel like coming in today. Certainly not a ray of sunshine to start your day. If I am ever in the market for coffee and a light breakfast I will definitely try it again!
So good I bought the T-shirt. Bacon breakfast burrito is the bomb. Seriously I could not finish it along with the scones and a coffee. Its alot. Construction was going on, extra parking in the rear for now. Great place to sit in the shade, fill up and plan the day. Plenty of locals with their dogs on the patio.
I only been in here two o Three times only for cup of coffee and theyre berry nice people
Daily Grind is a quiet place were you can work or have some coffee after school. There is a wide variety of desserts and drinks. Some of their unique desserts are lemon bar, smores bar, coffee bar and pecan bar. 🇦🇶🥞🍰🍨
A great spot for frequent indulgences. Tasty breakfast burritos and tempting desserts.
My daily routine mainly because they have really good ice blends that are reasonably priced and a lot better than (You know where). And the staff is always on top of there game. Im diggin it.
The nice baristas are the highlight here. The portAbello (sic!) sandwich, labelled Hot, was bland, and so was the lukewarm Super Veggie juice. The double cappuccino tasted ok, while the lemon square was dry.
I LOVE the Daily Grind!! Their “Locals’ Favorite” sandwich is my go-to. Great food.
The best avacado toast.
Quick and consistent with my double eye. I prefer light roast, and notice it is all out in the late afternoon. Clearly, we Java groupies know what we like and where it’s at.
So rude!Basically they ran us out almost immediately after we sat down and we were rudely told they we shouldn’t sit down 20 minutes before closing.
The cashier was so rude! Unwilling to guide me in picking a drink. It was my first time there from Santa Maria. Never going back.
Great sandwiches and soup with good coffee! Easy place to stop and park.
FYI, this location closes at 3pm. Google says 4pm but they actually close at 3pm
Awesome coffee, scones & lox-n-bagels.Clean place, good service. Handling the COVID-19 protocols very well.Well come back to the Daily Grid next time in S.B.
Always great coffee, delicious food, and the kindest staff!
This is a really fun coffee shop. I didnt get to partake in the different varieties of coffee that they had for purchase in the morning but would love to try it in the future looks like a lot of different varieties to try. The menu looks very great and can satisfy many different types of eating habits. Great Santa Barbara location.
Amazing food and great coffee. I have been here twice and had the lox sandwitch and ice white chocolate mocha. Outside dining and social distancing in place.
My favorite coffee in Santa Barbara. Nice patio area. Highly recommended☕☕☕☕
They have the best stuff ever omg there muffins are to die for very friendly, relaxing spot !most definitely be back !
Quite possibly the best hot mocha Ive had.
Always my fav for a bagel sandwich and excellent customer service!!
Nice locals place. Nice patio area. Really like their lattes. They also have smoothies and sandwiches
Good coffee and outdoor seating.
Ive been used to drinking Starbucks my entire life, but this environment and the service is just great. Recommended to all my friends. Will be back!
😃Best cinnamon coffee, best chocolate croissant, and the breakfast bacon burrito.ni just love it😃
Great avocado toast!
The atmosphere is light and very conducive for productive tasks. Highly recommended!
Good food. Horrible customer service, they cant even wear mask properly
Feta and spinach breakfast burrito was great!
Gotta say the coffee is terrific and they are very kind
Only been a few times. Parking is tough here so I usually about it. However I have never had a bad experience here. In fact its always been amazing. Great people. Good food, awesome coffee choices. Great seating. Big open space so it doesnt feel crowded even when there are a bunch of people inside
This is one of my favorite coffee shops and cafes in santa barbara. Espresso is delicious, service is even better, burritos are solid, baked goods are delicious, and they have a good selection of other snacks. They also sell several blends of coffee and have a big selection of drip available.
Was my favorite place had a very rude older employee working at the food counter . i will not spend my money here anymore.
They have a delicious variety on coffees, sandwiches and drinks like smoothies. Fast and friendly service always!
Great place to grab coffee and get some work done. The WiFi is good and there are usually tables. Parking can be tricky, but not as bad as Handlebar on De La Vina!
Fast and tasty. Service is very fast if a little brusque. Maybe because they serve so many customers. The breakfast burritos are large enough to share. My wife and I like the bacon one.
Love their menu with extensive options for juices, smoothies, coffee and sandwiches. They were pretty busy and just cranking. it. out. Fun atmosphere and aesthetic, good quality ingredients. My only critique is that none of the inside tables were cleaned, but again I was there during the busy Sat morning crush.
I really like this place. Its the only coffee shop in town that has good, inexpensive coffee and doesnt feel like a trendy, hip, Los Angeles cafe with $8 lattes. Good relaxed vibe. Has tables and outlets for working on your laptop. They also have good sandwiches. You cant lose.
It was cool 👌
Always polite and very quick service. Decent food, great pastries, and delicious coffee.
Amazing! Super sweet staff, very cool vibes, and the food and coffee is awesome! Only in Santa Barbara for 3 days but have gone twice already and plan to stop on the way to the airport tomorrow!! My favorites so far have been the white mocha, avocado toast, and the carrot zucchini muffin.
This is my favorite place ever. Never thought about giving these guys a review until this awesome day. They found and returned my wallet to me! Their food is incredible, their drinks are perfect, and their service is top notch. Thanks guys!
This place is perfect example of Santa Barbara in a nutshell. The decor is that of a tourist-y type as they have license plates from countless different states from the US of A, bicycles fastened to the rafters, etc. There is an assortment of coffees available for the connossieur, i counted roughly a dozen (not sure if theyre all different). The food is outstanding, i got a ham burrito and was impressed! The salsa was unique, homemade and just as delicious. Definitely 5 stars!
Ordered ahead online and got a yummy matcha without having to touch a POS machine.
I love this place & I always stop there when Im in the area. Good coffee, blended or hot. They have breakfast burritos & more. Its cozy & a patio if you prefer one.Fast service & very nice employees.I would refer anyone to it.
The burrito burrito was 👌🏻 outdoor seating was nice too!
Great coffee and pastries! Ive tried some of their scones and muffins as well as an iced mocha and a chai latte. I love this place. Its a great meeting location as well! Theres plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They get very busy during peak hours!
Best coffee/muffins/bagels/food in Santa Barbara. Parking can be tricky, just like everything in Santa Barbara. most people are in/out so spaces open up constantly. Great vibe, excellent coffee and food. I always make sure i stop when i am in the area
Cute cafe with full menu and friendly service
Awesome scones and breakfast burritos! Their coffee is also excellent. I, typically, go on the weekend (fairly early around 8am)- and I can easily find a spot. The food is great and fast, friendly service.
Great coffee. Try the Almond Croissant - awesome!
I used to go there with my son frequently. He likes coffee and I dont. But the Daily Grind serve sandwiches, tea, and desserts. They also sell smoothies which are really good. I would recommend it for anybody in the area.
Its on the pricy side of coffee but thats for a reason there no cap amount for a perfect brew of coffee ☕
Fabulous coffees, fast fast friendly service, great bagels and pastries too. Buy your cup, then pour your own coffee from at least 10 choices. A major local favorite, with wonderful tree shaded outdoor seating.
Social distancing, masks, good coffee!
Local independent coffeehouse staying competative in an industry oversaturated by corporate giants. They have a loyal customer base who crave the fresh baked muffins and pastries, deli sandwiches, breakfast burritos, smoothies and fresh fruit, not to mention the 10-ish varieties of drip coffee on tap representing a roast from every major region. Set in an old corner gas station, the polished concrete floors and traffic decor produce a vibe that screams casual local and eclectic.
Great breakfast place
Very friendly staff. Great variety of food and drink. A lot of yummy healthy food & drink. Good wifi. I love the freedom of being able to serve yourself coffee, and the many different flavors. Every once in awhile its cold, but most of the time good.
Great staff with lots of great coffee options. Along with a coffee I got a raspberry muffin which I would recommend heavily. Great place to hang out
During covid times still a great place for food
I would have given 4 or 5 stars except for what I saw about not dog friendly, if true they only get a 0. Giving them 2 stars today for their mean spirited policy of shoving an extra $0.55 to top off your coffee if you cant drink cows milk and would like one of their other choices. Really disgraceful. I like their coffee and food but as long as this policy is in place I will not return, plenty of other shops with great coffee that are much nicer to people and their dogs and striving to please their customers.I decided to up them to 4 stars as Ive been treated better by this shop.
This place is incredible! You’ll find everything here, from healthy food to reliable WiFi and outlets to get some work done. Amazing variety of food and drinks. Oat milk is a huge plus!
Love it. Youre Welcome to even bring your animal there. The atmosphere is very warm and welcome.
Fresh and tasty bagels, fresh orange juice (wonderful stuff). Best coffee cake with a great cup of coffee!!
A variety of flavored coffee urns along the wall signals they cant pull a strong shot. Torani syrups confirms it.Roomy with lots of seating and a cozy atmosphere. They serve food. This coffee shop doesnt know beans.
If youre craving a really good breakfast burrito...this is The place to go!!! We had one and it was so big it lasted me all day.
The Daily Grind has the best patio for a coffee shop with great staff, quick service and everything you would want in the morning. The sun always seems to be out when you show up and the coffee is always just right. Try their Zucchini Carrot muffin, its my fave ever! Oh and the smoothies are incredible!
Great place. They had a lot more options on there lunch menu have not tried it yet but looks really good
Made my sandwich exactly as Id asked. Had an employee dedicated to cleaning and disinfecting
Asked for a macchiato and got a cupful of foam with some espresso hidden underneath. The foam quality (vs quantity) was good but all I could tell about the espresso was that it wasnt awful. Probably wont return.
Advertises it’s open at 5:30am. Doesn’t advertise that the kitchen is closed until 6:30am. Why not at least mention that on your own website, maybe by your opening hours or on your menu page? Keeping your kitchen opening hours a secret until people show up at 5:32am isn’t the best for customer expectation fulfillment.
Great coffee/espresso and pastries, plus lots of sandwiches, etc, that I have not tried. A nice patio to sit on, fast, friendly service. A bigger parking lot would be nice, but turnover is pretty quick. Just GO!
Lovely place to get coffee & meet your friends or co-workers. Lots of varietys of coffee. Plus snacks or even breakfast cosy atmosphere. Also their indoor decor is vintage or older & I like taking pics to send to friends.. Service is great too. Always smiling & friendly
Had a latte made with almond milk here yesterday, and I was nearly left speechless by how much better it was than anything I’ve had in a long time. If you are in the mood for a treat, the lemon poppyseed muffin is a very unique and well-made item.
Good coffee at a reasonable price. The food is basic sandwiches and muffins, the service is fine and theres a terrace to hang out with your espresso or regular coffee, just like in Europe. This is a daily stop for many locals on their way to work.
The coffee is decent but theyre insane if they think I will pay $0.55 cents for ONE TABLESPOON OF ALMOND MILK!!!!!!!!Why is that the policy, I ask? Also its very loud and the parking sucks.Tables not cleaned regularly. Not coming back anytime soon!
Its a coffee shop. Like all others the coffee is the same. So it boils down to comfort and service. Seems the line system works well and numbers for hot, prepared foods. If you sit outside it is good, sit inside, not so much. Very popular spot, so they are doing something right, but that also means they are always busy and crowded.
My favorite place to get a sandwich and coffee and get some work done. They have plenty of seating, good wifi, and the service is very fast. The sandwiches are all really good!
LOVE the Owners they are family. Everybody should go to Daily Grinded best for WHATEVER your Needs Are . Also Great customer service ROOTS A.C..P.S. Best Breakfast Burritos. 🇲🇽🇪🇹
Delicious. Cold and hot drinks were a great stop on the route to Bay Area from LA.
Love this place
Menu selection is outstanding! Late was hot and deliscious. Do not miss out on the muffins!
Great variety of coffee! Breakfast burrito was bland and boring. I shouldve saved my money by just ordering a bagel. It was very noisy inside and I asked the woman for suggestions from the menu, but all she told me was it was to loud to talk to me. The 3 stars are for the great coffee and clean bathroom only.
Best coffee shop patio in town, really cool, some good muffins and one of the best breakfast burritos in town. The only reason for only 3 stars is the coffee is generally pretty terrible. The only way to make it drinkable is to order a red eye
This location has good drinks and desserts but most of the staff are not people friendly. Each time I visited, except for 2, I felt I was bothering the staff since I wanted to place an order. Especially 1 girl who walked ofd to help another customer while I was deciding what muffin to get. I then had to wait for her to return. If you dont mind being treated disrespectfully, then go for the drinks and food. Hey, you might get lucky and get a nice staff member
