Book Den is one of my favorite book stores. Its a lovely gem nestled across the street of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art—a book worms dream. Its a must-visit if youre ever in SB. Make sure to check them out.

Sure to be a book lovers favorite. A classic bookstore with oodles of charm. The salesman was very friendly. They offer a diverse selection with old and new books offered. History and psychology sections were abundant. I highly recommend stopping by the Book Den.

Best bookstore in California...we always stop by when were sailing South. We end up spending couple of hours roaming through and buying books from their great collection. Always find books you dont see anywhere else

This book shop has a good collection of books for adults, and a fair sized section for kids of all ages. Theres a nice section of autographed and otherwise-special books. The only reason Im dropping a star is because it is overly hot in there. Theres no moving air of any kind. Not sure if its for the sake of the books, but its certainly not for the sake of the customers.

Hole-in-the-wall book store that is much larger on the inside than the outside. Carries a wide selection of books from Percy Jackson to 1984 to a discussion on psychology principles. Staff was quite friendly, and was very well acquainted with their selection of books.

Small but well stocked bookstore. Patronize your local bookseller! Discover books you will not find elsewhere. (And ask them to add Madeline ffichs Stay and Fight.)

This was a cute hole-in-the-wall place that my daughter and I found. They had a pretty small Young Adult section, but had a lot of the really popular series. Most of the books were being sold at full price, and there were a couple gently used ones you could grab for a couple dollars cheaper. The staff was really nice and they had a good mix of every genre imaginable. Definitely recommend, especially if youre willing to support a local business.

What a great find. This is a great little book store - a nice change from the bigger more corporate chains. They did carry some hard to find items although a bit pricey, worth the find. Very helpful employees. A good visit while downtown.

I live in CT and ordered a specific hardcover book that is out of print from another source for a special time sensitive gift. It arrived without a dust jacket and I had mere days before I needed to gift it. I tried innumerable other dealers and online stores, and nobody could deliver in time. I finally stumbled upon The Book Den and called with my fingers and toes crossed. Joaquin answered and in a matter of minutes had located the book, provided an accurate appraisal of the condition, and arranged expedited shipping. On top of this refreshing competence after dealing with many not so competent people, he was warm and clearly a professional and informed book dealer. He had even read the book and noted his favorite parts. I should also note that in addition to the stellar customer service, a pristine book with protective plastic sleeve arrived as promised, and all for a fraction of what I paid for the first dud. They have absolutely earned a customer in CT and I would highly recommend this business to friends across the country.
