As a girl who knows nothing about cars, I really appreciate the honesty, service, and prices at SB Tire & Auto Repair. I bought a new set of tires here a year ago and the service was fast. I was also able to bring my car back a year later for a free tire rotation. They found a nail in my tire during the service and patched it and filled all my tires free of charge as well. They also take the time to explain any issues in a way I will understand. Overall easy and enjoyable experience every time :) Thank you guys!!

Weve now used them for over 3yrs and they will always supply a quote, which is more than competitive, the quality of work is flawless.They will provide recommendations for any additional work that may need doing, but it is never pushy and always comes with an explanation.They often follow up once work has been done to make sure that all is still good, which is appreciated. All round, an honest shop that does exactly what they promise.

I took my vehicle here after discovering I needed some work done while at a different auto shop. These guys were able to work with my warranty. They matched the estimate from the other shop and got me on the schedule the following day. They finished the work in a day and I was able to pick my car up Monday. They were efficient and friendly. Highly recommend.

It’s my first time going to this place. My tire was broke by a wood stick and I had to change the tire. The team have the exactly same tire in stock and I didn’t need to make an appointment. I was expecting that I cannot get my car on the same day. But I just dropped by and they finished the work within 30min. I really appreciate the efficiency. Also I asked if I should change one or two tires. They checked it for me and decided to just change one, so they didn’t charge on unnecessary things. I like this place. Will surely come again when needed.

Weve been going here for over 10 years. JR and the rest of the crew are hardworking and honest. Weve had service done on three different cars over the years. From oil changes and tune-ups, to brakes, alignment, and balancing. If we ever have a problem, we bring it back and they fix it no questions asked. But thats rare, because they do great work and are very knowledgeable. The prices are right as well and everything on our invoices is explained, accounted for and approved in advance.

My tires were very low on tread. Wayne and Jr always are so accommodating. They had my tires in stock and from the time I called to ask for a quote, three hours later had full new set of tires. Highly recommend.

Caught a nail in my front tire and was close by so I pulled in without an appointment. Tire was not salvageable because of the puncture placement. Ordered a new tire through them, and they installed the spare for me until it got in. Tire took just one business day to get to the shop, and when I pulled up they had pre-installed it on the rim that I left with them. They had me back on the road in no time.A week later I got a text from the manager making sure I was satisfied with the work they had performed.Service was fast and excellent at every stage. Will definitely use them again.

No kind words here. Quoted my 18 year old $ 300 to replace side mirrors on his 1990s Volvo wagon and had his mother pay for it. Neither of them not knowing that only the inside door panel has to be popped off, then turn three screws, and plug and play connected electrical wire. I was put on hold probably longer than it took Jr. to do the job. Rip off artists! The receipt from the checking in job quote to the time the receipt was printed when picking up the car is shorter time than time quoted on the job. Stay clear of this Shop! Thieves!!! My son had tires bought the week prior. I dont even want to look at that bill. . . Take advantage of the customer who do not know what things should cost is the motto here.

We arrived 6/30 in Santa Barbara after driving in from Palm Springs. Our Subaru was leaking coolant fluid and the overheating indicator dash light was on when we parked at the hotel. I knew this was not good and I used the Yelp app to inquire and message service shops in the area. Several shops were booked solid for appointments but JR from Santa Barbara Tire & Service answered my message and I followed with a phone call. I brought the car into the shop the morning of 7/2 and his team did a diagnosis that the water pump needed to be replaced as well as the belts and provided a quote. I then called other shops in SB to compare costs and Santa Barbara Tire and Service quote was the most competitive. I asked JR if the work can be completed by the end of the day on 7/2 as we were headed to Sacramento on 7/3. He delivered on his promise, the work was completed by the end of the day on 7/2 and he also asked us to stop by the morning of 7/3 to check fluid levels, etc before heading out for a 6+ hour drive to Sacramento. We dropped by the morning of 7/3 and his team did a final check on the vehicle. We left and made it to Sacramento and the car had no issues and drove fine. I highly recommend JR and his excellent service shop team for the great customer service, completion of work on time, & taking care of us leading up to a busy 4th of July weekend. Whenever we have an issue with our car’s tires we go see Junior. He treats us like family. I went there this morning when the low tire pressure light came on in my car. It turns out that I had a nail in my tire — but it was repairable. Because of covid, I wanted to wait in the safety of my car. I waited around 6 weeks after my work was done to write this review because I wanted to make sure it was accurate. I brought my Honda Odyssey in for A/C repair work. Everything was going great until I needed one additional part. This part was on national backorder due the major shipping stoppages from Covid-19 from overseas. The biggest cost with A/C work is usually labor. It takes time and a specialized mechanic to do the work. Long story short SB Tire worked with me after I was able to find the part. The part was far away and needed time to get to Santa Barbara. After it arrived they were able to assemble everything perfectly and my A/C has never been better. Most places would have just sealed the hvac back up and charged me again for reopening it when the part arrived. This probably saved me around 1k. I would definitely recommend SB Tire. They are honest and do quality work at a very reasonable price. They also will go out of their way to try and save you money if the opportunity arrives. Props to them!

My first experience at SB Tire and Service Center was great. When I discovered Big Brand Tires had closed, I diverted to SBTSC with a flat tire. The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. Repair was on time and reasonably priced. I also appreciated quick and easy communication throughout. This place is good.

Amazing customer service from very pleasant and helpful staff.I had to drive a long way on my spare (long story) and simply went in to ask their opinion on the quality of the spare. Not only was their advice very helpful, but they insisted on re-torquing the lug nuts and checking the tire pressure, and refused to take any payment for it.Ill certainly make a point of stopping by here next time Im in the area and need tire work done!

The power window on my vehicle stopped working. I searched online and called Santa Barbara tires. Anabel answer the phone and was friendly and knowledgeable and was able to get me in right away. Cecilio, the manager was able to diagnose the problem, get the part I needed and I have it all installed in hours. I’m grateful that I did not have to leave my vehicle open overnight and the whole repair cost less than if I had gone to the dealership for the same repair.

After a relatively simple fluid change and tire swap, I had still a difficult project -- locate and install OEM parts for a 23 year old CRX del sol, and Omar at SB Tire and Service *tirelessly* helped me, and we eventually located a parts kit on ebay, which he put in the same day it arrived, and charged by AC for the second time, for free. Thanks omar! Ill be back for all my needs.

Dont do it.... overpriced, try to sell you parts that are not needed and use scare tactics if the repair is declined. Leave cars in the red zone to be ticketed and dont take responsibility for the ticket. Wont cover things they break in the course of their repair but instead make you buy the part and charge for install. No warranties covered instead try to tell you that because the brakes are bad the muffler has to be replaced... some kind of bs story.

They are always really nice and fully explain any question or concern I have. Even if its super busy they take the time to not only answer but make sure you fully understand everything. They will help narrow down what is truly needed and what can wait- something I greatly appreciate because I live paycheck to paycheck. Other places have made things seem dire and almost scared me into doing things I couldnt afford. That doesnt happen here. Im stressing the honesty thing because Im a girl that doesnt know much about cars and Ive been taken advantage of before. My experience here was terrible. I have a SB Axxess card that offers 50% off oil changes with an appointment, so I made one a few days in advance. When I got there, they said the promotion does not apply to diesels, even though that is not mentioned in the offer. I asked how much it would be without the discount and they quoted me 50% more than what Im used to paying around town.Santa Barbara Tire and Service Center is overpriced and did not honor their promotion. I felt disrespected and lied to because of these poor business practices.
