Empire was my go to for all my vehicle maintenance needs. I’ve been using this shop for almost ten years up until now. The reason being that I felt as though they were being unfair and dishonest. This Tuesday I took my 2015 Kia to get my oil change and my tires rotated. Everything was good up until the manager called me over to show me that a stud had broken inside the nut as they were securing the tires back on. To my surprise they took no responsibility and wanted to charge me $179! So I looked around and found a shop called Henry’s near my job that quoted me $60-$90. Goodbye and good riddance Empire you just lost a customer!

Ive been coming here for smog checks, oil changes and tire rotations. They do a lot more auto work but luckily my Toyota been reliably keeping me on the road without breaking my bank. These guys are nice honest folks. They usually get done on time tho, so thats good.

We live out of state and have used Empire Auto twice. Each time, they have been professional and their work reflects their skill with any type of automobile problem. Most important to us is their honesty. We highly recommend them and will use them again should the need arise.

I was there two times for smoge check. Bob and Moe are super respective and helpful. They are very patient. They even helped me find some forms ONLINE for DMV! Super nice. Highly recommend them. The smog check is normally 60 buck but with coupon from Edmund website I got it around $29 plus $8 for the cert.

Bob and the guys are continuously honest and helpful. I have brought multiple cars to them over the years and they always seem to have the best prices and friendly service.

There are other Smog places out there but this has been my go to for 3 years. I like their direct no BS attitude.

Our minivan broke down in the middle of the night while travelling from out of state. We had our vehicle towed to Empire Auto around 4 a.m. on a Sunday morning. We chose this shop because they are open on Sundays and we needed to get our vehicle fixed and back on the road as soon as possible. I called them first thing in the morning and they were able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem (replacing the serpentine belt and a pulley). I had my vehicle back by noon. I could not have asked for better service, and better yet, they did not price gouge me even though they knew I was in a bit of a predicament. I appreciate their integrity. Thank you! We made it home safely!

This place is SUPER SHADY, straight up lies to me TWICE! I used to come here for oil change, and last time the guy was like were doing things a bit differently now, its going to be more expensive. I went and talked to a technician, and he said the same old price and resolved it. This time the guy says its a BWM, I got to do more work and remove the bottom panels, so it will be 50% more expensive. Biggest lie ever because all you need to do is unscrew the cap like any other car. They seriously tried to scam me every time!

I took my car here numerous times, usually with parts I brought in myself. I do this because I want to put the OEM brands on my car and not pay for the mark up shops charge on parts. Some shops get really uptight when you bring in your own parts, but it was always cool with these guys. They were always friendly, attentive, and upfront about things. Seems like the kind of service youd get in a small town.They also fixed a fluid leak issue I was having with my old 95 BMW 318is. Another shop that specializes in Beamers incorrectly diagnosed it and took my money (see my review for shop in Fullerton). Empire on the other hand pinpointed it right away.

I would pass by this location all the time, seeing BIG WORDS multiple times: MUFFLERS, EXHAUST. Went in to get my muffler/exhaust changed. First person claimed was new and said they didnt do mufflers, even though they clearly advertised it. Talked to a more senior person who said the same. So I asked the most basic question, So you guys dont do muffler but you advertise it?, Yea, because our machine broke down. I know from that point to just leave and would never take my business there ever. STAY AWAY

Straight up rip off ! I was new in santa ana when i first went to them and they talked me into paying thrice more then i should have. And it happened twice until i later found out they were playing around ! Bad Expensive experience
