I come from a family of siding installers so I’ve seen many houses built from the ground up over the years by several builders. Now, I am grown and a subcontractor for excavation/grading needs. I have no words to describe this particular site except how does someone not backfill the water proofing and the well?! They also left building materials in her yard. My mind is blown by this and angry for our client. We are fixing this for our client but I cannot believe any homebuilder would leave a mess like this for a new home owner especially one who is a single mother and nurse. This home was specifically built through the team in Sanford, NC.

Whatever you do do not buy a home from Vanderbilt. All the company does it tell lies to get your money. They don’t care if you are paying a mortgage on a house you aren’t living in because they are the slowest workers ever. We ordered our house June 2020 and was told it would be done and move in ready by March 2021. It is now July 1, we have started paying our mortgage, and we are still not in the house. They have lied to us about how long it will take, when things are scheduled, and how long their workers actually work. Our inside took the longest to be finished because they guys would only “work” maybe 3 hours every time they came out and would lie to the office about how much work they had left. I will be so happy when I am done dealing with this company and will not ever suggest someone to buy from them. Our inspection was supposed to be done July 1, but there were guys out there fixing everything that wouldn’t pass inspection! If it’s done right the first time then they shouldn’t have to fix all of this stuff. Now inspection is pushed off until July 2 and we are having to hope everything will pass so we don’t go a month paying mortgage on a house we aren’t even living in. I would suggest going with a bigger company or building your own house. It would save you time and a headache. We had to call numerous times pitching a fit just to get the house done by July 1. If it’s a professional business customers should not have to call and pitch a fit and remind them of their own timeline that they give customers! They might act all nice and caring, but the only thing they care about is the sale and getting money.UPDATE since the owner responded. He also told lies in his response. We did the wellness inspection when they told us too. I did not hold money from them as their check was cut on Thursday and I sent it out on Tuesday when I returned home from vacation. We simply did what we were told when we were told to do it. A lot of the workers tells different things. Such as I was told that they would call to have the power turned on, but now from someone else I’m supposed to call. It’s like they don’t work together and give one answer, but you end up with several different ones.

They have a nice selection of homes to walk though at many price points. No high pressure sales. Many options available. Will more than likely revisit.

Where else can you come see this many modular homes fully set up for viewing?!? Friendly staff that answer questions without any pressure sales tactics. They have awesome products that do not need any crazy sales technics. If youre a buyer youll let it be known.. I planned only to stop in for a quick look. I ended up spending 5 hours!

Beautiful homes, build up to the standard and modern code. The upstairs is the idea home from individuals with children. Not for individuals with knee problems.

My first visit to this showroom, I accompanied my mother who is considering a modular home. I must admit, I had no idea what a modular home could offer -- they are amazing, well-built, and have very cool layouts and amenities! The staff was super knowledgeable and helpful. They have so many different homes available to tour in one place and they practice a no-pressure sales strategy. We loved it! Be sure to go to the office first and grab a book to help you tour the houses. Thanks for an excellent first visit!

My husband and I went to visit Vanderbilt homes today. I believe we found the perfect plan. Everyone was really nice. Their set-up is amazing with the homes and the information binder they give you. They homes are absolutely beautiful! They have so many features to choose from. I can not wait to start this process.

Gorgeous homes but we never received an email follow up on the homes we checked off on the card that was given to us and that we gave back to them.. 🤔

I loved these homes. When you arrive go to the office to pick up a pricing book. This book has the basic prices up to the upgraded prices and everything in between. If you see there is something you can live without that will be deducted from the price. Also I loved the fact that you walk around by yourself and can take your time touring the houses with no hassle and no sales people following you around so you feel comfortable and not pushed. We walked into number 1 first and I wish we would have went to that one last because we loved it and ever other house we went into did not compare. Once ypu are finished there is a card in the book you can fill out for more information on the house or houses you would like more information on and drop it into the box for them to email the information to you. I am still waiting for that information which I hope comes soon because we are looking to make a move soon.

I usually am not the review type, but I just had to express myself on this one. I will refrain from getting too in detail about Greg K. Mr. Greg K, I had a bad feeling about you from the very beginning when we started working with you. The same feeling I had with Jackie that you recommended for our loan. She was just out to take advantage of me just as you tried to do. We were going to settle with your companies WAY OVER priced products but I am proud to say, we DID NOT. I followed my gut feeling and got a few other quotes on onsite stick built homes and modulars. I am getting SOOOOOO much more quality products for WAYYYYY less than what you quoted us. My whole point into all of this is if you are a customer, PLEASE get several quotes before you choose to go with this company, way over priced for low quality products. Pay attention to detail. And if they tell you to go with Jackie, DO NOT. Her mortgage rate was wayyyyy too high. I got an amazing rate with Southern Bank! Make sure you look at all the details of your products, think about quality and what you are getting. Asked Grego for quartz atleast and he said they DO not even have it. Just do your research!!! Say no to GREG and JACKIE.

We spent a few hours touring the models at their display center, and were very impressed by the quality of construction and the way they do business. Its a very well run and well organized process. The sales staff is friendly, professional, helpful, and ready to assist, but theres no pressure. Refreshing! Customers are provided with a notebook to take them through the self-guided tour, which includes about two dozen well staged homes. The notebook contains very detailed itemized price sheets for each model. They also provide forms for note taking and a card to indicate homes youd like to receive more information on. They are also taking appropriate COVID precautions, which is important in a setting where many people are touring independently and is appreciated.

I love the homes. I was not respected by the sales agent Greg K. If I choose this product I will go back with cash in hand. Then lets see how he treats me. Green sometimes removes the black from a white mans eyes. Yet in the dirty south that does not stop the ignorance. All I can do is pray for the foolish ones.

This company, by far was the best I have ever dealt with. I understand construction and how things go. Things may not come on time, I mean we decided to buy a house during a pandemic. Keith walked my husband and I throught the process. We had questions and he answered them. My process was different because we lived in camper while they worked on the house. I was in constant contact with vanderbilt during the process, letting them know what improvements i have made to the property and what their guys need to watch for. This was by far the smoothest process ever. When i saw something wrong I immediately notified them and they handled it. I am a hands on type of person. I kept up with every inch of the process. I even talked with Vanderbilt contractors directly and everytime I spoke with anyone I was respectful and inturn they were respectful to me. Building is frustrating and thats why I was involved with the whole process. I walked off with a better understanding of how modulars work and will refer anyone of my friends to Vanderbilt. All the ladies in the office, from the lady that pays your contractors to the lady that corrects what the factor did not get right, to the lady that works with you when scheduling contractors to come to the house were AWESOME!!!!! We moved into the house in april and we still happy.

My wife and I had a great experience with Homes By Vanderbuilt. Our home was complete within 6 months. They were great in quickly addressing any issues and answering any questions. I really like how the have a Energy Star Certification done on the home and help on applying for energy rebates.

We bought our home from Vanderbilt almost twenty years ago and couldnt be happier with it. It is perfect!

We started the process for buying a home from Homes by Vanderbuilt in January 2018 and did not close till February 2019. Even though the process was long we loved our house when we were able to move in. I contacted Vanderbuilt in July of 2019 to inform them that we had a leak in the unfinished upstairs window, they did send someone out and was told they hoped that took care of the problem. The problem was not resolved and I have contacted the service department of the company many times and I am always told the service department will contact the factory manufacturer ASAP. My next step will be to file a compliant with the BBB since after 2 years of the window leaking I am very concerned.

We ordered our home May of 2019. We will close Jan 31,2020. Our home is beautiful. We have met many contractors for various jobs. Each contractor were very friendly. Once everything started rolling all was right on time. The only thing we think Vanderbuilt should change is they need a person to go to each job with a checklist letting the guys in office know where the project stands. We would highly recommend them!

Dropped a closing statement on Friday saying I needed 47k cash to close. Emailed all evolved asking for clarification. Was told I would have to wait until Monday? This was on a Friday at 12:00. When I told them this wasn’t right and I can’t do business like like this, they didn’t care and went forward to close my file. Keep in mind all the docs they wanted they wanted now and received them. They couldn’t be bothered to respond to a simple email that they generated. Guess Business must be that good.

We are extremely happy with how our home turned out. The people at Vanderbilt were amazing to work with and maintained the highest level of professionalism throughout the project. There were several issues with the weather and with the site and Vanderbilt helped us get it all like it needed to be. The guy that did our finish work was one of the best carpenters I know. He was a perfectionist and fixed things that we didn’t even see. Would highly recommend you purchase your new home from Homes by Vanderbilt, we honestly have no complaints.

The price points of the homes were very reasonable, the entire process was smooth. Not only did they get us in our house 2 months sooner than projected but they made sure everything was 100% to our satisfaction. From the sales process to our moving in we have no complaints about our process. We recommend them to anyone looking to build a home!

We have been very please and excited to have moved in to our new home. Having been in Sanford and working with Nick Kirsch on getting started with the house have been a great experience. My wife and I thought we had picked out the perfect home. We went down several times and decided to move forward with a house. We got down there and She saw the new ranch style Epic II. The absolute excitement in her eyes I knew she found what she wanted. We moved forward and started the paperwork. Even had a chance to see where and how these homes are built. GLUED/ NAILED/ SCREWED/ 2x6 exterior walls and endless list of quality. It is a must see in person and you get to talk with the employees working on it. They do take pride in their job and it shows. HBV was there every step of the way. Aggravating at times and they would walk you through the process. Long story short. We are in and LOVING every second of it. House is settling and there are some cracks which is to be expected. Just have to be patient and after the settling process, work on getting them repaired. For a house of this size and weight I truly thought it would have been worse (the settling). I believe the way it was built is why it isn’t worse. TRUST IN THEM. They know what they are doing and are there to help you choose your new home. Thank you to everyone who has helped us through this process.
