Captain Phil took the time to walk around the showroom with us and answer all of our questions about the boats and accessory options. We made a good deal on the boat and Captain Phil took us out to the water and showed us all the features and how to operate everything. World class facility! Went in for a simple 20 hour service, and didnt want to leave. Its a boaters paradise, they have everything you could ever need for your boat. Best boat dealer we have ever dealt with. Never once felt pressured into anything. The owner was very knowledgeable of all his products and boats and was able to answer every question we had. We purchased a boat we are very happy with. We wanted a few extra things added to the boat and they installed everything extremely quick and everything worked perfect. WARNING WARNING WARNING !!!!I took my boat to them a week ago. I knew EXACTLY what was wrong with it before it went to them. There was no compression on one cylinder in the port motor which is a pretty big job. I told the tech all of this on the phone prior to taking the boat to them to ensure they had the capability of making such a big repair. I was ASSURED multiple times that this shop was capable to making a sizable repair to the Yamaha F300 V8 (certified Yamaha, do it all the time, blah, blah blah) and would be able to get on it immediately. 2 days later I call to get an update and they still had not got to it. After 3 days i was assured they would get on it TOMORROW. Weekend passes and almost an entire week goes by and they call me to tell me that they DO NOT HAVE THE TOOLS OR EQUIPMENT to fix the boat and that the owner doesnt want to pay for $1000.00 in tools needed to do the job and that i should probably take it somewhere else. The best part was that they repeated verbatim to me what i told them was the problem originally and that it took them 8 HOURS to diagnose......what a joke !!!!!!They tried to get me to pay $250.00 considering it a FAVOR to the 8 hours that they put into it. After venting my frustration to the owner he agreed to waive the bill entirely.Took the boat to BOATERS EXCHANGE over in Rockledge. Its a bit of a haul from Sanford but those guys are PROFESSIONAL. They had done some work for me in the past and i should have taken it back to them but Rothrock was close and convenient and i thought someone listed on Yamahas own website would be OK. Boy was i wrong.....BEWARE!!!!!

We recently purchased a used 2014 Spyder FX17 flats boat from Phil. From the day we first visited the dealership through the entire process, I have been so very pleased with the service and communication from Phil and his staff.Phil brought to our attention that one of the fenders was messed up, and he offered to replace the fender, and had actually already ordered the fender, proactively. After bringing the boat back for the fender repair, he also went through the entire boat and fixed a couple of things that I was not even aware of. This was a used boat, and therefore I bought it as is, but Phil called me and offered me a new boat cover, and kept pushing me to come in and get the fender repaired, and has been insatiable in making sure our buying experience was remarkable.Phil is a straight shooter, and honestly has been so helpful and a joy to work with. Rothrock Marine has a customer for life.

Warning!Do not purchase a boat from Rothrock Marine. Buying a new boat should have been a pleasure but Captain Phillip Rothrock made it a nightmare. Rothrock told me he needed full payment to have the boat delivered but a week later he still did not have my boat. After he changed the delivery date 3 times I decided to call the manufacturer and they told me that they where ready to deliver but had not received payment from Rothrock. I also ordered my boat with very specific options. I found out from the manufacturer that Rothrock did not order these options. Now he refuses to provide a credit for these options that he charged me for. The only good thing is the manufacturer is standing behind their product and taking care of all issues.

This is worst place to purchase a new boat ! The guy that runs the place is a liar and so is his son.They give out false info on the boat especially...If you go here you will regret it !! We have a brand new boat and have major issues with it, everything on it is either warping or the paint will chip off ..Their customer service stinks !! I rated this place a fat F....

Just a word of advice for anyone thinking of purchasing a boat from this place. I own a moving company and I was looking to buy a boat this month to replace my older Hewes. I was in their neighborhood and had some time to kill so I walked in to look at their inventory and ask a few questions. I was greeted by a woman at the counter who said I needed to be accompanied by someone for insurance purposes. Fine, I was taken to another gentleman who immediately asked me if I was looking to by a boat ASAP? He proceeded to tell me that they were very busy there and really did not have time for me if I was not buying.Now I’ve heard of people at different businesses treating potential customers like this but it had never happened to me before. Let me tell you in my business I make time for every single potential customer even if I have an inkling that they might not use my services. These people truly exude snobbiness and treat a person as if they are riff raff! I obviously turned around and left without saying a word.There are so many other choices when it comes to purchasing a vessel. Please do yourselves a favor and heed the warnings of the other reviewers here and stay far away from this place. Not one single person seemed to care about me, a potential customer. My hard earned money is obviously not welcome here. By the way I have NEVER written a review about anything in my life but felt compelled to write one about this joke of a place.

Took boat in for a repair. Mechanic “repaired” issue to the tune of $450 but did not get to the root problem. We bring boat back to identify issue and waited for three weeks only to have to repeatedly follow up and ask for updates always given empty promises. After suggesting it was the injector screen, mechanic swears our motor did not have them and it wouldn’t be that because he knew these motors in and out. They call and state they’re unable to identify problem and to come pick up our boat even after a lake test, consulting Yamaha allegedly, and the time spent. The following day we bring our injectors, that the motor does have, to another mechanic and low and behold two of six were blocked. Put injectors back in and viola, boat fixed in less than a day. Will not be a returning customer and wouldn’t recommend for repairs.

I have been taking my FX 9 Spider there since 2013 and always had a great experience. The new shop and service tech is a great addition.

Have had good results here every visit, if they dont have parts they get them quick.

I purchased a used boat from this place in 2013. I am just now getting around to writing this review due to the fact that I have just heard another horror story that came from this place. For starters I went to them in 2013 and bought a used boat with only 18 hours. I had them install a trolling motor, stereo, and gps/fishfinder. Now they would not do a test drive on this boat nor start the boat using the ears that hook to the motor to run water through it. First day on the water resulted in me finding out that the reason they didnt want to run the boat was because the water outlet hose had mud dobbers (wasp nest) clogging the pipe. Second the stereo was wired wrong and the left speaker did not work. Third the depth finder was mounted too high on the boat and was lose the ability to read depth at speeds over 13mph. And finally the trolling motor almost fell off because the bolts were not tightened all the way. This place is like going to a used car lot. The son is the parts installer and one of the biggest liars youll talk to. The father trained him so enough said there. I was given the run around every time I called to address these issues. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to buy a boat. This place has never and will never get my business again. And I have directed countless friends away from them. Hopefully this helps people in their decision making.

Rothrock marine is a great company! I bought a 2016 FX 22 with a t-top from them late in 2015. Mr. Rothrock always treated me respect and made me feel that he really wanted me to be satisfied. I upgraded to a Simrad NSS EVO2 12 with the 4G radar, the trolling motor to a 36vt. and he was very patient making sure I got want I wanted. To me his advice always seemed solid. The boat has been amazing and runs great! I went 11 miles offshore the other day in 4ft seas at 11 seconds and it really handles well for a hybrid. Justin, Mr. Rothrocks son, has always been helpful. When I come in for service he listens well and gets me back on the water asap! As well, Justin really has a heart to please and his customer service is excellent. One of the best things about this father-son duo is their word. As a minister, its important to me that people honor their word. Thankfully, their company stands out to me as one of integrity and trustworthiness. If your looking for a hybrid or flats boat I would go see their inventory and meet them. If you are going to post boats for sale online you need to remove it when it sells!I came into this dealer about a week or two ago to shop for a used boat.The sales man showed a boat to me and my wife that we were really interested in.Me and my wife then went and applied for financing the same day we looked at the boat.After about 3 to 4 days later the finance person informed us that we were trying to finance a boat that was already previously purchased days earlier.Needless to say me and my wife were very disappointed.
