For the physical size of this store, you would expect a decent amount of inventory with a few options for most items. However, I personally found the selection of available items was extremely limited with very little variety. Perhaps it is just supply chain issues and something that is unusual for this store that wont be a problem in the future. Regardless, the staff and the helpful nature of Ace Hardware make this the best choice in Sanford.

Running a Special on CovidI have shopped at this ACE for over 10 years now and have found the selection of products good and the assistance of the staff excellent! Its one of my favorite neighborhood places and Im a regular. In response to the dangers of the pandemic, the management posted a note on the entrance door advising customers that they must wear a mask and that the staff are doing so as well. Unfortunately about half of the staff are now wearing their masks below their nose and patrons are allowed to shop without masks at all, if they choose to, and they do. I have been exposed to mask-less patrons over the last four visits. All of these stores are so tightly organized with product isles, that adequate distancing is difficult so masks are especially important in this kind of environment.Yesterday, while I was checking out, a gentlemen stopped at the entrance and very responsibly declared that he had forgotten his mask and would happily purchase one if needed for entrance. The young man at the service counter next to the door immediately announced that “You dont need to.” Thats enough.I have sadly decided to shop at Lowes from now on. My wife is immunocompromised and I just cant risk my familys health for the irresponsible and dangerous behavior that is now consistent here. I will remember this long after the pandemic has passed. So disappointing. I would never risk anyones well-being like this.So long Ace._______________________________________________________________________Thank you for responding but I am not in need of a discussion of my concerns. An appropriate response that requires very little “navigation” would be an assurance that both staff and customers would be required to abide by Seminole County executive orders to comply with CDC guidelines (as posted on the door of your business). I understand that your staff are not police officers but most of the mask-less discussions within the store were being conducted between clerks and customers. It is completely reasonable to politely, but firmly ask someone to comply or leave. I have no doubt that most other unacceptable behaviors would have been handled this way.

Went in looking for a plumbing waste drain elbow to fix a bathtub drain. They did not have the part but made some very good suggestions which work out great. Ace in Sanford always giving Great service, very helpful and they care . Thank you and thank you to the plumber guy in isle 23 Dan for his suggestion of putting it in boiling water first it really work. Thank you

The best part about Ace is their super friendly staff. They act like a local business and it shows. They care about their customers and their needs. Maybe I cant get EVERYTHING I need, but I can get most. So given the choice Id 1,000 percent prefer to go to Ace than one of the big box stores. You should too.

This is the absolute best hardware store in the Seminole / Orange area! Sanford Ace Hardware is not only a fully stocked old school store, locally boaters refer to the shop as Sanford Marine Supply due to their extensive stock of marine items, including specialty stainless hardware, varnish, paint, and fiberglass supplies. Very friendly and helpful people - highly recommended!

We go to Ace just about every week sometimes multiple & the service is always great until today. I bought pine bark and 1 bag was full of ants. When I told the tall, dark haired Micheal my problem he offered no help getting me another large, water soaked bag. I had to carry through the store and to my care. This young man needs to be taught some customer service skills John!

Every time I go in there an expert is ready to help. Not only do they always ask if I need help, they walk me to the product and answer any questions I have. They are currently remodeling the inside and it is looking great, I am really excited to see what it will look like when they are done. If you need just about anything for your home or mechanical, skip the big box store and get to Sanford ACE. I use to hesitate because I felt like the prices were so much higher, but honestly after shopping there for several years now, they have very competitive prices + experts + in and out quickly = great value.

Ive been going to this Ace for 10 yrs. The staff knows everything about anything,....if you need a thing -a-ma-jig,... they have it!!! I can understand that people that dont go often might think the staff are distant butt,.. they are JUST very dedicated to providing you with the BEST solution to your needs!!!

The Ace Hardware in Sanford is a large store with many section for your home and garden needs. The signage is easily seen from 25th street. Between CR425 and SR 46/25th Street. The employees are extremely helpful and polite. There are two register for your quick and easy check out. If you need help loading all you have to do is ask. They also honor the 10% discount for active military and veterans. Highly recommend this hardware store.

Had every thing I wanted except a solar 🔋. But than several other stores dont have them either.

When I came in I was looking for a plug-in converter and everyone acted like I was bothering them all the employees but I came across which was about four of them all acting the same way none of them seemed happy to be at their job I will not use Ace Hardware again in Sanford unless its an emergency I would rather drive to Lowes which is about 20 minutes further just so I wouldnt have to deal with that Ive been in there multiple times and every time the feeling is similar thanks for all you dont do !
