Small but nice Hannaford. They usually have what I need. I like that this one always has a bunch of registers open always.

I like the prices an the ease of checking out. I think the bagless was a good idea. They still offer paper for 5 cents and the other for 98 cents i think. It was just about a dollar.

The food is fresh and they carry an impressive array of items. You can always find helpful staff. If they dont carry something you need, they will try to get it from their vendors. If you use the rewards program you can save a lot.

Great staff, great customer service, always friendly and helpful employees. They have pretty decent prices. Seems like they bring on wonderful variety of personalities. Very supportive to the community like donating to the schools, donating food, advertising the need for helping maine directions on how to with community programs, helps support nutrition for schools and families. Has a To-Go program for those on the go! Enjoy using Clynk its a great program. Pretty clean, has some remodeling going on looking very nice the changes.

Hannafords is a great local store. Cant wait till its done construction. They seem to be out of alot of items lately. And then the items they are having a hard time getting, not their fault! But all in all the people are great!! Pretty sure the meat guys get annoyed with me every time I need help🤣 but theyre great sports and give a hand!!

My wife and I go shopping here a few times a week and they always have great deals on different items that were looking for.

The store still requires a mask but everyone was wearing one. Shelves werent full, but there was enough there. Lots of space to move around.

I had the most disheartening experience at Hannaford today! Ive shopped Hannaford, long before they were Hannaford. ( Was, Shop n Save )! 2 times per week I do my shopping at Hannaford. Today wasnt busy for a Saturday morning 7:15am. I went to cash out, at register #5, I asked for a money order, was then told I would need to go to register #1, the 14 items or less check out, I asked since it wasnt busy, if someone could get the money order from Reg #1, I was told no. Ok I said, After the lady rang my purchases up, I was 1 cent, 1 Penny shy, normally I would have some loose change, but not today, I had emptied my change into change jar a couple days ago. Well I asked the lady do you have a little red change box, Give a penny, take a penny...She replied no!! I then said a lot more politely to her during this exchange, well is it possible to owe a penny and take my order. NO was her reply, well by now theres a gentleman behind me, sighing and talking under his breath. Im a little older in age, been on the planet a little longer then possibly many if the employees I saw at Hannafords today. I find it sad when 1 Penny, 1 cent, in the world today could cause such unkindness in a time on this Earth we should be helping our neighbors.1 Cent, 1 Penny!!I had to relocate to Sanford from Arundel, next town over. Living in Arundal, my home was closer to Market Basket, ( which I sorely miss, polite employees, knowlageable, Great prices, Amazing variety, Fresh cut meat, fruits and vegetables selection outstanding and those little red change containers Need a penny, Give a penny! being handicap Im able to use the motorized cart to bring groceries to my car with assistance as well at Market Basket)!! Im sure there may be some who read this and say well go to Walmart, or go back to Market Basket! Its not a question of going back, or to a different store. Its a matter of being able to get to the nearest easiest store I can. As with all living things, as you age its not quite so easy to get to your favorite store, or restaurant, even the bank at times challenges. I do not begrudge Hannafords, I just ask management to consider giving a 5 min conversation with employees on how far a little kindness, like 1 Penny, 1 Cent can change the trajectory of someones day! The man behind me became iratated that I had to take 1 item out of my order, so I wouldnt be 1 Penny,1 Cent short.. the lady at the register maybe was having a bad day herself. And on an end note, My money order after going back around with groceries in tow, minus my avacodes. To register #1, was actually made at another register all together!! Life is funny!! 😊

This Hannaford is one of the better hannafords customer service for getting in and getting out and getting what you want and with help finding products the staff are very helpful customer services better than Maines customer service in the norm now the one in Old orchard Beach no no no no its just too much the prices are overpriced and its Friday the different in Egypt telling me going to maybe because if its a ghetto place its cheaper if its a ritzy place I go OB the food is more expensive and that want to know OOB is too expensive

The service is decent, however the arrows on the ground and the enter here and exit here signs are honestly a joke. No one really follows them and staff does not try to keep 6 feet apart from the customers. Theyre not even keeping any kind of customer count anymore so the store ends up packed as if the virus wasnt even a thing anymore

Always prefer Hannaford fruit/veg 🍓🍉🌽🥦🥕and Hannaford meat🥩🥓🍖 over all other places in Sanford Maine. Sleepers would have been the only place I would have said would be better but since it isnt sleepers its not the same not to mention sleepers hiked up🤑🤑🤑 their meat pack prices so much I cant afford em anymore but enough about that place. Hannaford is always clean and always see the employees sanitizing the carts !!! So yay for Hannaford!!! They also are requiring you to wear face masks 😷😷😷but its okay if you dont have one- because they WILL provide you one!!! Top job for providing masks and not just sending ur customers away with no food!!! Keep up the great work ❤️💯

Covid makes it hard for shopping safe

During this crazy pandemic, hannagords has been hands down the best at dealing with it. They have carts that are presanitized and ready to go. They have one end of an entrance and another end for and exit. All of the employees are kind and always cleaning a shocking shelves.

I went in with a person on crutches. There were plenty of electric carts available. The staff helped her while I parked the car. The checkout aisles had ample room for the cart. The cashier and bagger were helpful getting our purchases to the car. The parking lot was well maintained and free of icy spots.

Dont bother going to get the 37 cents per pound turkeys because they dont have any left and will not give a rain check on them! Disappointing after going out of our way to make that purchase.

This location is not my favorite. I like the store but prefer the bigger ones, this one just seems odd where items are. Didnt see any fresh sushi. Would recommend and go back though.

I am used to my hometown Hannaford. So, it was quite easy to find the things i needed. In the cat food aisle, an elderly gentleman and i struck up a conversation. We chatted about our cats, and the food they like to eat. I can tell you that it felt really comfortable to be in this Hannaford location. I spoke to 2 different Hannaford employees, one being a manager, very briefly. They seemed to be friendly, and the manager was genuinely concerned and cared about my satisfaction.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 👏😁

Prices are a bit steep. They do, however, carry a few items Id otherwise have to travel further for, such as Kalamata olives, and Wicked Joe coffee.

Best grocery store around! Fresh produce that is checked over by staff throughout the day & everyday. They label all their meats and produce with labels to tell you where your food has come from. For instance, I looked at a cod that could be tracked from the moment it left the sea, to my hands, & everywhere inbetween. The prices are so much better than the other 2 stores in town, but I think people think that Hannaford is more expensive because it is so well managed and actually makes it fun to shop. Dont forget to sign up for 2% back on Hannaford brands and collect that free money because every bit helps.

Not happy with the remodel

Pretty angry how the staff handled a lady literally coughing all over there hamburger without a mask. Im not exaggerating either this lady leaned over all the meat and just keep coughing and gasping for air. I let a lot of the staff know and they just wanted me to beLquiet about it. Im disgusted and will not be coming back they dont care about you or your safety

Store is fine, pharmacy staff could be a little more understanding of the different people they are serving.

Very clean, very open, and the aisles arent impossibly small. Like any store meat can have its off days but they do honor the money back guarantee, or at least let you swap an item if it goes bad before the date listed. Self check outs work better here than other stores thats for sure.

Hannaford is my market of choice. Produce is always fresh (only had one bad experience with grapes and I was refunded even though I lost my receipt) Selection is great and I love that they have most gluten free products in one area, so much easier to find things than in other markets Ive been to. Staff (especially Mark) is friendly and helpful.

Hannaford has the most consistent supply of products you want. Used to shop Market Basket and they would have something I like then wouldnt have It again . Their meats are the best next to a butcher shop
